Let me be a mob! - Chapter 54- Demi-God?
[Highvinegart, The High Elf’s POV:]
I cannot fathom what my eyes just saw now.
The reason I, along with my brethren were staying at the Excalius academy stems from the fact that this place was under the threat of the Great Demon of the Far East who was infamous for her ruthless predicament and godly prowess which I was not sure whether even we could take on.
Our role was just to protect the students from mobs when the Crimson Demon would attack the Academy. It was told by the Great Sage Erwin that someone from the Academy was the main source of Crimson Demon’s interest but as the responsible principal he was, Sage Erwin has decided to take on the Crimson Demon rather than sell out his student.
He’s an admirable figure for such reasons.
We were aware of the fact that the daughter of the traitorous woman who married a human all those years ago was also in the academy but my superior told us not to interfere with her. I just like my brothers were not intending to go against those words but today something happened which made me take action.
I felt a ripple that shouldn’t have been present here. Something was changing…someone was calling forth the deities through the sacred grimoire since other than that method only hundreds of years of continuous meditation and worship could be attained.
I knew the mud blood had a grimoire of her own which she must have got from her mother but to think she would be daring enough to use it? Ridiculous.
However, I couldn’t have ever thought that the person who attained spirituality was not the bastard child but a regular human!
“I, Highvinegart Greystone, greet the supreme deity Undine. I have been blessed by your presence Aqua Queen.”
Before I know it, I was kneeling in front of not the boy but the almighty Undine who was wrapped around the boy signifying that he has ascended to a stage where he would no longer be regarded as a regular anymore.
He has gained the favor of the great spirit queen which meant he already had the talent for spirituality but still even with the grimoire it was almost impossible to earn the blessing of a demi-god deity but here I was in the presence of one.
Aqua Queen was still not in her full glory or the whole battalion and Sage Erwin would have rushed over here but I couldn’t be wrong about such magnanimous presence.
And thankfully, the bastard child had enough sanity to kneel in front of those whom we elves worship.
Soon I felt the overwhelming presence disappearing and taking the cue to inform my superiors about this mind-wobbling development I rose to my feet before excusing myself.
“Excuse me.”

“What’s up with him?”
Aiden raised the query which Jin also had in mind. He did hear the word Undine but why now? His doubts here were cleared by the small elven girl who also rose on her feet with literal stars sparkling in her eyes.
“You made contact with the Great Spirit Undine! I am so happy!”
Silvie was not able to contain her happiness witnessing the great aqua queen coiled around Jin a moment ago and in the end, she jumped on Jin for a bear hug.
“Woah…” Jin caught the girl reflexively as he tried to comprehend what she said. He indeed felt something divine unlocking inside and Jin’s natural senses have risen exponentially in the small duration but the goddess came in contact with him?
Jin has to test it out before he could reach any conclusion. He was naturally excited to see if he really got the support of a demi-god and if he did then it was highly possible for him to become a natural bender and increase in rank swiftly.
But for that, he needs to get this enthusiastic child off him first.
“Okay, okay. I know you are excited but let’s calm down for now, okay?”
It took time for Silvie to sober up but when she realized what she just did, even tomato would have paled in comparison to how red she got.
Aiden at the side could only chuckle and console the girl that what she did wasn’t a crime and it was alright to hug people when you are too happy.
“I am eager to see what these new power could do.” As Jin muttered these words a globe of water summoned up above his raised palm without any visible discomfort which signified that he was now getting better at handling his spirituality.
“Please let me see as well, how your new skill works.” Silvie was embarrassed but it soon dulled away since the excitement to see Undine in action could surpass any other emotion.
“It would be better for you to rest up a little for now, Silvie. You must have been tired after guarding the door for this long.”
Exhaustion was written over her face and since Jin also had some work pending to do he was intending to test put his newfound powers in the evening.
“Ah…Fiona also helped me. She has been standing the whole night yesterday. She would be arriving soon but well…I am indeed a little tired so I will see you after classes.”
Silvie yawned at the end of her words which was adorable enough to bring a smile to both of the other two. Her mouth was so small like a bird and the slight sound of yawn was just gape moe.
Soon Silvie left both of them as she sluggishly made her way out of the boy’s dorm.
“I will be getting ready for the class as well. Umm…if possible then take me with you when you test your skills, alright?”
Jin nodded before Aiden also walked away, greeting some of their classmates on the way.
Now left alone Jin seemed to be in contemplation about a certain someone. He indeed was thrilled to experience his spiritual abilities but at the moment his mind was occupied by a single girl.
‘I think it’s time to sort this out…’

‘I am late… ‘
It was after fifteen minutes when Silvie Aiden and Jin scattered away to their rooms when a certain silver-haired beauty hurriedly walked into the male’s dorm gathering every gaze in her direction.
The residents of the dorm have already been seeing Fiona a lot recently but still, the early morning freshly bathed Fiona was a sight for sore eyes. Her natural scent permeated profoundly from wherever she passed leaving the boys enchanted by her beauty for a good moment.
Fiona cared about none of it just like she does usually as she found the absence of her elven friend at Jin’s door, making Fiona rather surprised.
She has been informed by Silvie that it was crucial to protect Jin for the time being since his life might be getting in jeopardy until he is under a procedure of some power-up or something.
‘She must be very tired… ‘
Considering how Silvie seemed so determined about protecting Jin, Fiona concluded that she must have been at her limit to abandon her role and walk away. Fiona didn’t relent since it was her fault to take an extra half an hour to reach there.
She calmed her breathing and sensed her surroundings before just like the previous night she stood before Jin’s door in full alert.
But little did she expect the attack would arrive from the other side of the door.
Fiona felt her waist being enwrapped by a warm arm before she was pulled inside Jin’s room in a mere second.
“Ah…”
