Let me be a mob! - Chapter 53- Breakthrough?
[Jin’s POV;]
“You sure you want to give this to me?” Holding the famous grimoire of spiritual matra I asked the elven girl who gave it to me without a care in the world even though this tome was an exclusive treasure for elves.
I understand that she must have gotten this from her mother since she was a royalty but the fact that this grimoire was not supposed to be in Silvie’s possession in the first place makes the matter even more severe.
I was not against the idea of accepting this grimoire since it would not only help me strengthen my bond with spirits but also it would break the biological bounds I have which restrict me from using spiritual arts through my physical body.
The reason why I break my own limbs upon using spiritual techniques even for a small duration stems from the fact that I was still a normal human with above-average physical abilities. To use spiritual arts using my body as the vessel requires a certain meridian to be developed other than those already present inside everyone. My mana points would accommodate that meridian and regulate the spiritual energy accordingly.
The mantra inscribed in the book would take some time but I was sure that once done, I would leap in strength and my natural defenses would exponentially rise.
“As I said Jin, I want to see you grow since it would make me feel like my dream has become a reality. And also, since we have to face the crimson demon once again, we should prepare as much as we can.”
It certainly would be a great help to prepare me to fight the Mamba if the situation arises and at least help me hold my ground against that redhead monstrosity.
It’s kind of surprising that Silvie was so enthusiastic and actively trying to help me. But in her eyes, I couldn’t find a single malice nor her character sketch was drawn in such a way from what I remember. If Silvie tries to lie she would instantly get caught up.
But I have seen enough acts and backstabbers in life to not believe Silvie and this readily and leave my vulnerable side all open. Not Silvie, nor Aiden, and nobody else in this place is that trustworthy enough for me to leave my back in their care. Maybe Fiona is but it wouldn’t matter since if Silvie decides to attack me she could easily do that. She is the only one who knows how weak I would be at the time of mediation and not to talk about if she blames me for stealing her grimoire then the whole elven society would be after my head.
“Here, read this. Please tell me if something is still required so I would add it.”
I perplexedly took the violet radiating scroll which by outer look definitely seemed a mana contract and upon unfolding, I got assured that it was a high-grade Mana agreement which works on the blood signature basis and snatches the life of the person who fails to fulfill the terms of the contract.
I read through the terms and it mostly included everything required for me to trust Silvie. If she tells anyone about the grimoire then she would die. If Silvie tries to harm me in any way during the ritual or make someone attack me in the meantime then she would meet her maker. Any kind of malicious approach was added and many more minor details, made me assured that this girl knows me too very well.
That raises the question, did I really seem so cautious around others?
Maybe, but despite we have faced some events together that doesn’t mean I could believe everyone I come across. Even though they are the main cast of this world.
“No, it’s quite fine.” I bit my thumb before applying my blood on the end left side of the contract before it illuminated with a bright shine. It signified that the contract has been formed and now even Silvie was forced to, she couldn’t betray me for the time being.
“When should we start?” She asked upon which I fell into a bit of contemplation. There was an hour session with the student council president starting tomorrow but now that I have formed the contract and I have the grimoire in my hand, I was not intending to leave this chance.
And considering that it wouldn’t actually take me a month to learn her sword technique but more than that, I would do something in between to make her extend the time of my sessions.
“Umm, tomorrow morning. I need to visit the council office in the morning so around seven?”

It was two days since that discussion occurred and Jin went to his meditative phase to accomplish his first breakthrough in spiritual path. Silvie has done everything in her power to not let him get disturbed in the meantime and considering that she was getting assisted by Fiona as well, let Silvie have a breather from time to time.
However, currently, she was not sure whether she would be able to protect Jin for long or not since an entity whom Silvie wanted to avoid with all her worth, currently stood just some feet away with his golden eyes fixated on the elven teenager.
“You mud blood actually have the gall to hand over the such cherished treasure of our people to a mere human? How low you can fall more than you already have?!”
The growl of the high elf made Silvie tremble under the pressure. Despite knowing the high elf would not hurt her, it didn’t mean he couldn’t distract Jin from his ritual.
“I am really disappointed by your race high-elf. I have heard you guys tend to be more disciplined but hearing you… I indeed am aggrieved.”
Aiden retorted back with a mocking tone without cowering away from the intent which was leaking from the blondie who certainly was way above his league. Just by pure aura the high elf seemed to be in S-rank and considering the role he was called forth to play, Aiden couldn’t have expected less.
But whatever royalty he was or might this elf be all strong and rugged, that doesn’t mean, he could insult Silvie without being ready to face the retaliation.
“Watch your tongue human! I won’t take a single word for my family and my people you get that! I-”
“Why are you guys shouting on someone else’s door?”
Suddenly the focus of the three shifted toward the nearest door from where a weary Jin exited while rubbing his eyes.
“Jin I…” Aiden was about to explain things and tell him what this high elf bastard has been spatting out about Silvie but soon his tongue got tied as he felt movement from his left and right.
Not only Silvie but the blond elf moved in unison but that was not the notable point of their sudden action at all rather…
‘Why the heck they are kneeling out of the blue…? ‘
Even Jin was unsure why the scene transpired so anonymously but the high elf’s following words cleared out his doubts.
“I, Highvinegart Greystone, greet the supreme deity Undine. I have been blessed by your presence Aqua Queen.”

A/N: – Jin now has the support of the water element spirit queen. Ooof, such a breakthrough.
