Let me be a mob! - Chapter 21- Understanding the world!
For the rest of the class after the introduction, Jin tried to pay attention to the lecture and understand the theories as much as he could since it was something he was yet to touch after his rebirth.
Since it was the first day, only the surface of the subject, which was the origin of mana was being taught by the beautiful lady named Lisa who would be homeroom in charge of the first-year top rankers.
Not only one of the strongest mages in the academy and the whole kingdom as well, but Lisa was also actually quite well at teaching as well since her choice of words was something that someone as a newbie like Jin was able to understand, who has yet to truly know about this world’s history.
Mana is the essence of the blue planet since it’s the creation and the magical essence is also the necessity that keeps things moving at their pace without breaking the balance. Though various things have changed if compared to the past but some of the things have yet to alter.
The devil’s side for example.
Unlike Jin’s previous world, this planet was slightly bigger and divided into several domains which belong to different kinds of species.
Naturally, the duration of days and months has also altered but more than that what Jin focused on was the subtle details about the other domains that humans were not allowed to enter under normal circumstances.
Despite not having a permit to casually stroll in foreign domains, it doesn’t mean the residents of such lands were enemies to Humans since there are people who live in the human domain despite belonging to other regions.
The hooded girl one seat beside Jin was an example who was half-elf and lives in the human domain with legal certification.
However, there was a domain that was an enemy to every other realm, and despite covering only one-fourth of the plane, it has the potential to bring annihilation to the others despite facing all of them at once.
The Domain of Sin, Mirziya.
Thanks to the heroes of the past, the veils between each realm not only restrict forceful intrusion but also alerts the Light attribute magician whenever some dark magic crosses through the veil.
However, it doesn’t change the fact that regularly, demons do appear in the human domain through unknown means, and when they do, destruction was the only thing the region faces that comes across the said demon.
There were some specific classes to educate students about the rank and types of demons and so the first lecture of the first year concluded after almost one and a half hours.
“I hope I have made myself clear but even so if anyone has any doubt about my class, you can ask me at student’s hour which begins after the schooling period and lasts for one hour. And please refrain from a needless approach since it would grant you negative points.”
Instantly those who were rejoicing upon discovering the golden opportunity to see the beautiful lady even after school slumped their shoulder in defeat since losing their points just to satisfy their eyes was not something they would dare to do.
Excessive negative points can even lead to demotion and sometimes students get expelled as well.
Jin despite being charmed by Lisa for the first minute didn’t show any reactions since he knew what kind of fire this lady was and in his sane mind, he wouldn’t dare approach her until he doesn’t need her help.
“Okay then, someone will come to fetch you guys in half an hour to the indoor dojo so until then get to know each other or enjoy the free services. Just whatever you do, report back in the class when the time hits two on the clock.”
With such the violet-haired lady took the papers from the teacher’s desk before leaving the class. For once she glanced at Aiden which went noticed by none.
The students went abuzz as they joined their friends and began gossiping about things, majorly about the teacher or how excited they were about the upcoming training.
It may sound a little too much to train students on the very first day but it’s just the way Excalius treats its students since this place was not meant for vacation but rather, to teach students the necessary factors so they could become a leading pillar of the kingdom and this whole domain when the time comes.
Jin was slightly distressed about Dia since he thought she might talk to him and also the glances Fiona was giving him from time to time were not helping either, that’s why he decided to head to the cafeteria for now.
‘Let’s see what they have best to offer… ‘
Rubbing his hand in anticipation, Jin walked out of the classroom and made his way toward the cafeteria, in hope of having a small recharging meal before the training session.

[Fiona’s POV:]
Seeing Jin walking out of the class the first thing Fiona did was hurry toward her best friend and ask the question that the silver-haired maiden has been boiled up with ever since she saw Dia arriving with the boy late in the class.
“What were doing with him?”
Dia was sure that her best friend would ask this question but the tone Fiona used and the urgency her eyes expressed once again proved how sensitive the girl was about this matter.
There was a high chance of Jin being her savior so Fiona wanted to take things carefully yet just on the first day her sister went against her words and approached Jin without Fiona’s presence in the talk.
“Calm down girl. I just went ahead and asked him directly whether he was your prince or not…and to be honest, I am not quite sure whether he really is that person or not.”
Before Fiona could have panicked hearing that Dia has spilled beans and told Jin that she looks at her potential savior as the prince of her dreams, Dia added some more words to pull the silver-haired maiden’s attention.
Furrowing her brows, Fiona urged Dia to speak further.
“What do you mean, Dia?”
Dia sighed as she packed her things in her bag while she replied to her good sister in a defeated and slightly uncertain tone.
“Well, from what you told me, that said person half a year ago, saved you without any intention of being rewarded right? And that shows that the man was brave and selfless.”
A blush made way on Fiona’s cheeks as while suppressing her shy smile, she nodded for her friend to clarify what she was intending to imply here.
Dia smiled at her adorable friend’s reaction but she had to bubble out the suspicion she had against Jin since giving false hope to Fiona was not something Dia entertained.
“…and do you think such a person would stay in the crowd to see a girl being assaulted by a noble guy just like that? I may be reading too much in this, but the guy, Jin, we are suspecting was too relaxed and laid back when the incident in the morning was taking place, no?”
Now when Dia pointed it out, it did seem that Jin was really not much affected by all the things happening to the girl, and if not for that boy named Aiden, then that hooded girl might have gotten assaulted before Fiona could have arrived.
However, just because of that fact Fiona was not entirely convinced that Jin being her savior was completely impossible. But before the girl could have presented this piece of her mind, someone called them from the back.
“Do you guys wanna have a bite with us?”
There stood Rena along with the hooded girl who introduced herself as Silvie Myurin, during the class along with the raven-haired top-ranked Aiden.
Since Dia knew her friend would be contemplating needlessly if left alone, she took a hold of Fiona’s hand and accepted the offer in both of their stead.
“Yeah sure.”
