Let me be a mob! - Chapter 121- Plan
The group of seven gathered around a single-room underground settlement which was located near the Academy but none of the students knew the existence of this hideout. Well, other than Lisa no one knows about this place and couldn’t find it as well until they are not told the exact location.
Lisa arranged some beverages for everyone and had beer for herself and Elena.
“Haw~Professor is gonna drink in front of her students?” Rena teased the older one, only to get smacked by her mother on the head.
“Ou!”
“Don’t tease your elders.” Rena rubbed her head with her left eye closed and a tear building in the other.
She was consoled by Silvie who shared the cookie she was carrying in her bag.
Fiona silently sipped the tea she was given while Dia asked things about the Academy and the headmaster to Aiden.
The casual conversation died down soon and much to Fiona’s relief, everyone concentrated on the matter for which they had gathered.
“So, Fiona. What clue did you find about Jin? Is it something he left behind?”
Lisa asked after she put down the bottle on the table and rested her elbows on either side.
Every eye turned towards Fiona before she uttered something completely unexpected,
“He contacted me through Spirits and we talked for a minute and a half. ”
Amidst the shock everyone went through hearing that Jin could contact Fiona even though he was taken captive by the Crimson Demon, suddenly Silvie muttered to herself.
“I knew it.”
Fiona and others looked at her questioningly—which made the half-elf quite flustered.
“Silvie received a message from the Spirits that Jin has made contact with this realm as such why we decided to escape the academy and search for him today.”
Having those Special Eyes and being an elf by origin allowed Silvie to see Spirits wandering around the planet but they never came in contact with her—until recently that is.
Although Silvie had a theory about why the Spirits would give such importance to Jin, she kept that hypothesis to herself.
“So Silvie, can you lead us to the Demon Realm entrance?” Rena asked.
“Oh and without getting under the radar of the Seven Sages. That would be problematic.” Dia added; aware of what would happen if the realm gatekeepers found out about some individuals trying to cross the realms.
“Indeed. Those Seven Sages have the Divine Blessings and battling against them would be a real pain.” Elena said once she finished her beer.
The Seven Sages are responsible for maintaining the wall that separates the two worlds and were granted Holy magic. They are not some common warriors who could be evaluated amongst the general ranking system.
Broke characters—to be precise.
“I…can find apertures through the connection with Spirits. However, every aperture only remains for thirty minutes before Sage’s energy heals the gap. And to find an aperture, I need to be close to the barrier.”
“How close?” Aiden asked
Silvie looked at him before leaning her face down. No one disturbed her and patiently waited.
After some minutes she finally answered, “At least half a kilometer.”
“….damn, I hope we don’t get noticed by those geezers,” Rena said, a bit anxiously.
However, her mother had a wide grin on her face as she asked the half-elf, ” Hey girlie, is there any relevance of time and your detection? Do you need the world to be moving to detect the aperture? ”
Silvie tilted her head, before saying in an uncertain tone, “No, since the veil of separation is free from the shackles of time and magic….but is there any way to stop the time without having a connection to the Spirits?”
Rena’s eyes widened as she asked in a louder tone, “You still have that?!”
Aiden frowned, “What does she have?”
Under the questioning gazes of the others Rena confessed, “When Jin came to learn from Mom, he only had some months left before enrollment. But since there were many things Mom wanted to teach him, she used an artifact that stops time within a certain barrier. Like, if you spend several months in that barrier, not a single second would pass in the outside world. ”
Turning towards her mother she said, “I thought the effect of that artifact was long exhausted?”
Elena chuckled, “I would have, but Jin told me not to. He said, ‘With this much combat knowledge, not even the child of prophecy can beat me’.”
The child of prophecy mentioned here remained ignorant that Jin actually was referring to him. Rather, Aiden turned his attention toward Silvie and asked,
“So that settles it, right? You find the hole in the barrier and we pass through.”
“But what after that? How are we going to find him?” Dia asked in a clearly anxious voice.
“That….you just leave it to me.” Elena gave a wild smirk as she conveyed the reason for her certainty.
All this time Fiona remained silent and observed the others. Seeing their enthusiasm to find Jin, touched her heart. The way everyone was prepared to go against law and order and risk their lives to save Jin made her feel a strange sensation in her chest. She was not used to people’s kindness but surely she would welcome their help with open arms.
‘Just a little longer, Jin. We will definitely rescue you from that damned demon.’

[Jin’s POV:]
*Achoo*
“Are you okay? Should we postpone this duel?”
Alzieth was so worried at the moment that even a little sneeze was enough reason for her to cancel this duel.
I chuckled at her childishness before wrapping my arm around her waist and leading her toward the training ground.
“You are underestimating me a little too much. Don’t worry Aya, I am stronger than an average human.”
“I am aware, Yuu, but still your opponent is Merex. In pure combat, she is stronger than me and has gained the title of Seventieth World Conqueror in the biggest combat tournament. I am not concerned for nothing, you see.”
Her words made me a little nervous as well. Someone stronger than Alzieth, who has kept the Crimson Demon as her pet? Damn….that’s some crazy information I just received.
However, none of it made me waver from my resolve. I was going to defeat anyone or everyone who came in my way.
Turning towards Alzieth, I rested my hand on her shoulders and assured her,
“I know this will be difficult but if I cannot defeat your Commander means I never was worthy of this role. So please, calm down and let me handle it.”
Although I tried, she still looked quite anxious.
Now it’s not just about defeating the Commander to gain the right over Blood Ceremony. Now, I want to impress my girl as well.
