Let me be a mob! - Chapter 119- Ad hoc
Two days later, after Silvie came to find Aiden in the training ground, the pair could be seen currently walking slowly toward the entrance of the school.
Silvie had a way to find Jin’s location as such, Aiden formed a plan to rescue his friend as soon as he could. However, since Professor Lisa was in school until today, they couldn’t leave. After all, for Aiden to take a break from his training with Lisa surely would have raised suspicion.
Thankfully, today Lisa had to go to the nearest town along with some other professors to deal with the numerous dungeons appearing around the school and the town.
“Aiden….aren’t we d-doing s-something r-r-reckless? S-souldn’t we have gone through f-formal proceedings?” Silvie, pale in shade, asked in a stammering tone.
She was, naturally, nervous to escape from the Academy around midnight in a secretive manner. More than Dia ever could be, Silvie was extremely anxious as she walked just behind Aiden.
“You think giving an application that we, two orphans, want to leave school and visit someone for some days? And more so when we are at that age where a boy and a girl shouldn’t be traveling alone….do you think Professor Lisa or any other Professor would have allowed it?”
Silvie’s long ears turned crimson hearing those words as she let out a strange, ‘Mmmhhh’ sound. She understood what he was trying to say but still, the nervousness didn’t subdued.
“Wait.” Silvie held her breathe as Aiden raised his hand and told her to stop
They were currently near the second entrance of the school from where most of the supplies come in. And currently, several carts were lined up at the entrance.
The main entrance was heavily guarded as such there was no point going there.
Aiden and Silvie hid behind the guard room just on the left side of the entrance. The small room was currently empty or Aiden and Silvie would have gotten caught by now
The guards stationed at the entrance have gone to check the carts to inspect whether the porters have brought something suspicious along with the ration.
Aiden peeked from behind the wall and found the guards were facing the other side and some were inside the carts; assessing the materials.
The space between the cart and the entrance wall was narrow, but enough to let someone as broad as Aiden pass through.
Turning toward Silvie he whispered, “When the guard moves toward the other side, I will lift you and dash. Don’t scream or make any noise, okay?”
Silvie panicked but didn’t let out a noise.
Aiden didn’t wait to hear her answer before he looked back at the guard who was noting something on the notepad.
Once he was done with this cart parked near to the entrance he stepped forward—allowing Aiden to make his move.
He turned, crouched, and lifted the girl before running at full speed.
His physical attributes have increased and his rank has already reached B. As such, it was no surprise he went past the guards without getting noticed and crossed the entrance…
….only to halt suddenly.
“Who are you two?! Students are not allowed to roam at this hour.”
Just outside the entrance, a group of twelve guards were standing while talking to the porters….and naturally, sensing a person advancing toward them, they noticed Aiden and Silvie.
“This is bad…” Aiden mumbled under his breath as he helped Silvie to get down.
Two guards were advancing in their direction while questioning them continuously. Aiden didn’t have the time to answer them and then face Professor Brian at this hour. They might never get another chance to escape any time soon….worst, Lisa might put a tracker on them.
‘I guess violence is the answer….’ However, just as he was about to summon his Holy Sword, someone called from behind; making the two guards halt in their way,
“They are with me. I am escorting the two.” Aiden was familiar with the voice yet he still turned to look at the otherworldly beauty, clad in a skin-tight battle suit.
Her violet hair swayed with each step and her uniform hugged her curves in a very tempting manner.
Although Aiden meets her every day, seeing her unprepared makes him dazed just like everyone else.
” At this hour? I apologize for the rudeness but I need to know the reason. ” The head guard was seemingly calm even in the presence of an S-rank and such a bewitchingly beautiful woman, as he asked her.
Lisa did not look offended as she told him, “For training, I am taking them to the nearest dungeon. Since entering a dungeon with only three people is not a good lesson for children to learn, I invited these two in the middle of the night, so no other student could see them. And…please don’t ask why these two are an exception to the rule.”
The guard didn’t seem surprised that Aiden was chosen for this mission and since Silvie is a half-elf he discerned there must be something special about her as well.
However, there was something still bothering him, “Then why was he carrying the girl?”
Silvie hid behind Aiden, upon finding the sharp eyes of the guard directed at her.
“She is originally a healer and physically weak, that’s why she got tired on the way and asked me to carry her,” Aiden answered, and Lisa just nodded to show that she was aware of it.
The security chief suspiciously glared at Aiden…but in the presence of Lisa, he couldn’t question him any longer.
“You may go.”
Lisa nodded and thanked the man before walking along with Aiden and Silvie.
The distance they traveled after that small interruption was merely fifty meters, yet Aiden and Silvie’s backs were drenched in sweat. Reason? The person beside them.
Once the three of them reached a considerable distance away from the security post, Lisa halted and turned to look at the two nervous kids.
“Where were you two going?” That smile she had was nothing but frightening as Aiden and Silvie glanced at each other.
Aiden soon sighed and decided to just tell her the truth since if he didn’t, the chances of reaching Jin might turn to zero.
“Professor…Silvie has found a clue to find Jin.”
Lisa’s eyes widened in shock hearing that, as she reflexively asked, “Really?”
Silvie nodded before she said, “Two days ago, Jin used Spirits to connect to this realm. Because of that, now I can trace the spiritual path which Jin used.”
Although Lisa didn’t know how Jin used spirits from that realm, she still had faith in Silvie that the little one could achieve what she said.
However, “The Spiritual Path might vary and can be altered in the Demon Realm you know. After all, the worldly laws are quite different of the two realms.”
Hearing Lisa’s argument, Silvie blinked in realization.
As she said, there was a chance that the spiritual path only led Silvie to the demon realm entrance…but after that…
“…then how are we going to find Jin in the Demon realm?” Aiden asked in a heavy tone.
However, it wasn’t Silvie who answered, “We can help you with that.”
The group of three turned toward the source of voice where four women stood.
And the one who spoke was the renowned War Goddess and Rena’s mother—Elena.
