Let me be a mob! - Chapter 113- Come back to me...
Jin loved his girlfriend, a lot in the last life. After all, only she was the one who never betrayed him and always remained by his side despite his terrible situation.
They have spent nearly three years together, as such, Jin was aware of what she could do, in order to monopolize him. In the last life, she only had the resources that her father provided, but in this world, she was one of the Demon Monarchs.
If Aya could hire the Crimson Witch Madonna to kidnap Jin, then it would be no surprise to say, that the current Alzieth was even stronger than her counterpart.
As such, Jin found himself in a great dilemma. There was no doubt that Aya knew Jin’s relationship with Fiona. She has more than seven ways to spy on him and holds the authority that without moving an inch from her position, Alzeith could harm Fiona, back in the human domain.
“Aya. Listen to me first-”
“I refuse.” Her voice was devoid of any affection or teasing, unlike before which made Jin realize how furious she was.
Maintaining her tone, the woman continued, “I remember you said you would always wait for me, wherever we go. That you are mine and I am yours. That, you would never see a woman with the same eyes you see me. That, no woman would have any chance to enjoy the warmth which only I am worthy of. What happened to all those promises, Yuu? Don’t you love me anymore?”
Her words weren’t the only ones in motion. As she spoke, her body moved toward him, pressing Jin under a domineering aura, and indicating what kind of existence she was now.
The fluctuation of her demonic energy was alone able to make Jin’s heart beat faster than normal. She was a Demon General after all. One of the seven entities, responsible for resurrecting the true Demon Lord of Chaos.
However, for someone who has spent years with her, Jin knew how to tackle this situation.
*SHUFFLE*
In an instant, the position of the two shifted. Jin was now looking down at the woman. His arm rested on either side of her charming face and his eyes remained constant on hers.
Jin could tell that Alzeith was trying hard, but the subtle blush dying her cheeks was something that made him grin.
“You still aren’t completely immune to my advances, eh?” His fingers brushed the hair off her head as Jin uttered in a warm tone.
His warm breath elevated the blush. Alzeith turned her face away, as her complaint reached him,
“Don’t blame me…we have met after so long…it’s a natural reaction.” The way she shyly muttered those words with her pouty lips barely moving, extended his lips into a full bloomed smile.
“The very thought of not seeing you anymore always haunted me. I even made several of your paintings, but they ended up so bad, that I locked them up in the deepest compartment of my bag.”
There was nothing that Jin said, was an exaggeration or a lie. He adores Aya and the realization that he would no longer be able to meet her again, embrace her, or hear her laugh, made him extremely depressed.
However, the chaos of this world never allowed him to dwell on the matter for long.
But, right now that Jin has found his lover right in front of his eyes again, his emotions were welling up.
“Yuu…” Cupping his cheek, moisture began to accumulate at the corner of her eyes as she looked at the person she had desired to see for years now.
Jin closed the gap between them and embraced Aya softly in his arms.
It might be strange to say this, but somehow he didn’t feel anything different despite her being in someone else’s body. This warmth, this sensation, this solace…everything felt the same.
“I missed you, Yuu.”
“Mm. I know.”

After cuddling for half an hour in silence, Jin found his stomach grumbling again, even though he had eaten like two hours ago.
Aya chuckled at his embarrassed visage when the silence between them was broken by his stomach growl before she told her servant to bring something good.
“So…how come did you identify me? I mean, I don’t remember doing anything that could indicate that it was me.” Jin has never been a naive person to actually talk about his reincarnation to anyone; including Fiona, whom he trusts so much. And Jin didn’t remember any skill that could distinguish a person’s origin as well.
“Hmm~ One day, a girl suddenly jumped out of a portal and gave me a soul-identifying tool and disappeared. I didn’t believe it initially, but now…” Locking her arm with his, she concluded, “…I do.”
Jin was confused about what kind of tool actually even identified a soul. He has never heard about it before nor read anything like that in the story as well.
“Here.” Aya could sense the confusion from her man, so she handed him the artifact that the young girl with pitch-black hair had given her, some months ago.
Jin took the compass-like object which was brown in color and circular in shape. It had a blank space, probably to show the detection or something.
“So…how does it work?”
Aya didn’t think much before responding, “You just need to think about the person too deeply and it would locate where that soul now resides. It actually works for those who are reborn in a different body without prior life knowledge as well.”
Jin raised his brows in pure astonishment. He really didn’t know such a tremendous artifact existed. No wonder Aya was able to find him so easily.
‘Let’s see…’ Holding the artifact tightly with his eyes closed, Jin thought about a certain silver-haired girl while feeding the artifact some of his mana.
He was hoping to see how Fiona was doing…however, all he saw once the cloud cleared was none other than himself.
‘…’ He was now, even more confused.
*****
It hasn’t been a day since Fiona returned to her homeland. Her father and mother were excessively worried for her to allow Fiona to remain in the academy any longer.
Fiona also didn’t resist against their will and returned immediately.
…truth be told, she couldn’t care less now, where she was living or what was happening around her.
After Jin disappeared from her life, Fiona felt nothing but numbness. She hasn’t eaten anything as of yet since that day, and if not for magic running through her veins, she would have collapsed long ago.
Her skin had turned pale, her eyes were caved in and she had visibly turned a lot skinnier compared to before.
After returning to her home, all she did from morning to night was lay on her bed. Not an ounce of light entered her room as she kept her windows and door closed.
If there was something keeping her going even until now was a hope…
A hope that Jin still was alive somewhere out there…however, she wouldn’t be assured until she didn’t see him.
Laying on her bed while wearing the shirt she took from Jin’s room before leaving the Academy, Fiona kept on remembering all those days they spent together. His scent was slowly fading from his clothes, but Fiona was clinging to it somehow; expecting that one day, she could regain the warmth she loves so much.
His touch, his whisper, his soft kisses…she missed all of it.
‘…I don’t know how long I can keep going…so please, come back to me, Jin…’
