Chapter 2 – The Protagonist Is Surrounded by Many Harem Heroines
In order to avoid the disgusting endings of the heroines, I must first observe. This is important. I must determine which route the protagonist is taking.
The game begins on June 3rd. For some reason, that day is the day I was reincarnated into this world. What this odd date means is that I start from a state where I have already met the heroines and have become somewhat close to them.
The game is quite difficult, so depending on the protagonist’s actions as of today, June 10th, a week after the start of the game, some flags may already have been raised.
So, let’s organize the information regarding the girls around the protagonist, along with the results of my observations over the past few days.
First up is Mizukami Noa, who is the protagonist’s childhood friend… As long as I don’t take any action regarding Noa, there shouldn’t be any problems. This is the safest option.
Next is Kinoshita Nanami, an otaku girl in the same class as us. She has heavy bangs and wears plain glasses.
At first glance, she looks far from a heroine, but in fact, her true face is extremely beautiful. She also has the largest breast among the heroines. She’s the type of heroine that the people around her think is “I’m the only one who knows how cute Kinoshita is…”
She meets the protagonist when she is trying to pick up a light novel in the library, and the protagonist touches her hand as he is picking up the same light novel… Yes, I know, it’s a very cheesy development. Well, it’s cliché, but straightforward enough to be good.
From then, she secretly has a crush on the protagonist, who is cheerful and easy to talk to. However, she doesn’t talk to him herself, and instead secretly follows the protagonist as he is happily talking with Noa and his friends during lunch break. It seems her story is progressing smoothly.
And next is…
“Senpai!”
As I was gazing blankly at the protagonist, I heard a lively voice coming from the back door of the classroom.
“Senpai, I’m here to help Sakura deliver the lunch box you forgot!”
“Thanks for going out of your way to bring it.”
“No problem! It’s no trouble at all! See you!”
The girl who delivered the lunch to the protagonist with stormy energy and left the classroom is the third heroine. Sera Akari is a boyish, tomboyish girl. She has a healthy tan complexion and short hair, which is quite short for a girl. Compared to Noa and Nanami, her chest is a little flatter. She is a member of the track and field club and is quite skilled.
Akari meets the protagonist through her friend, the protagonist’s younger sister, Miyano Sakura. Hearing Sakura speak proudly of her brother, Akari became interested in him and started interacting with him.
As a side note, there’s no blood relation between the protagonist and his sister. This is revealed in the hidden Sakura route, which you need to play to uncover this fact… Perhaps the scenario writer still had heart for the protagonist, as there are no disgusting developments with the younger sister and interacting with her is the most relaxing part since she is also family.
Now, there’s still one more heroine, and that’s——
“Hey, can I have a word?”
Suddenly, someone called out to me from behind. The voice sounded low and cool, a voice I’ve heard from a dignified woman before.
“…What is it?”
Speak of the devil. Standing behind me was the fourth heroine of this game.
“We’ll stand out here. Shall we change the location?”
And like that, I was brought to the student council room.
To think that she’d go out of her way to be alone with such a delinquent… This is why she’s going to meet her ruin.
“Now, I’ll get straight to the point… I’ve heard reports that you’ve been harassing people recently.”
“…I’m not doing anything like that.”
“Really? According to the victim, you’ve been glaring at them quite intensely… Are you sure you don’t know anything about this?”
“I just have a naturally mean look.”
“…Earlier, you seemed to be glaring at a certain male student as well, didn’t you?”
“…Sigh.”
The name of this girl with an unnecessarily strong sense of justice and no intention of backing down is Fujita Shiori. She is one of the heroines and the only heroine in the third year, and the current student council president. She’s a distinctive character with a ponytail, and I believe she is at least 170cm tall. Her breasts are assertive enough to be seen even through her uniform, making her the clear winner in the category of heroines who makes us say “Arrest me, officer!”
Her first encounter with the protagonist was when she dropped some papers in the hallway, and he helped pick them up. Since then, the protagonist has often assisted Shiori with her work, and that’s how their relationship developed.
Shiori has a very earnest personality and hates anything crooked. Because of her personality, she easily makes enemies, which eventually leads to an incident… But for now, we can set that story aside.
More importantly, I need to find a way to get out of this situation. If she targets me, it will be hard to move around.
“It’s not good to judge people by their appearance, President.”
“Y-you’re right about that… But if that’s the case, then Kaede-kun would… Huh?! No, never mind!”
Because of her build, Shiori was bullied until middle school. In other words, if I bring up appearance, she won’t be able to argue back.
And she’s so easy to sway. Probably the easiest.
“Is it okay if I go now? I haven’t finished my lunch yet.”
“Ah, yes! Sorry about that. But if I receive similar reports from others about you…”
“I know. I’ll be careful.”
I replied curtly to Shiori and left the student council room.
This is fine. It’s true that I’d been observing the heroines for the past few days, so I’m glad I was able to fool her well. I don’t have any intention of trying to be a good person. As long as I can prevent the heroines’ ruin, that’s enough.
From everything I’ve observed so far, I’ve learned quite a bit… but I think the protagonist is likely to go for the Noa route. There’s no sign of the protagonist taking any proactive steps. In the game, if you do nothing, it automatically leads to the Noa route, so I expect it will follow the same path here.
So, what’s the issue in this scenario?
The problem is that the first event in this game is scheduled to happen this weekend.
The impact of seeing it for the first time was so great that I even remember the date.
It’s a brutal first-time trap with no way to deal with it, and it’s the worst event, showing players the true nature of this game in one blow.
Friday, June 14th.
Event name: “I Can Be Girly Too…”
Target heroine: Sera Akari.
5 heroines? Good number.
