The next morning, I woke up to a LINE message.

“Good morning, Takuya-kun♡ I want to see you soon~//”

The heart and the shy emojis brought back the sweet memories from yesterday.

The lingering scent of her in my room made my cheeks relax without me realizing it.

If things had gone any further… it could have gotten really bad.

We just started dating, so we need to take things slow and build our relationship.

After getting ready as usual, I walked to school, and cherry blossom petals danced at my feet.

The days of misunderstandings from yesterday felt like a distant memory.

When I entered the classroom, the heavy atmosphere from before was completely gone.

Everyone’s eyes were back to normal.

Yuuto came over to my seat while grinning as he tapped my shoulder.

“Hey, Takuya, I heard about yesterday. Looks like you kissed Sendou-san in the park. There are witnesses!”

“What, who… wait, witnesses!?”

I panicked, and Yuuto laughed loudly.

“Don’t go overboard, you just started dating.”

Then, Ayaka-san came into the classroom with her friends.

She noticed me looking at her, her eyes instantly lighting up.

She ran over a little and whispered, “Good morning, Takuya-kun//”

Her cheeks were pink, and her long eyelashes fluttered. I stammered, “G-good morning… Ayaka-san,” and she giggled while lightly tugging on my sleeve with her fingers.

“Yesterday… it even came up in my dreams//” she said with a bright smile.

Yuuto teased from the side, “Getting all lovey-dovey in the morning?” Ayaka-san laughed cutely, “Yeah! Because we like each other!”

During the first class, I noticed Ayaka-san sneaking glances at me.

She drew tiny hearts in her notebook and subtly showed them to me.

During the break, she came to my seat and sat next to me.

“Hey, are you free…today?” she whispered in my ear.

I panicked and stammered, “Y-yeah… I don’t really have any plans…//”

“Hehe, then let’s go on a date!”

Ayaka-san had completely gone past just being sweet; she was now the ultimate clingy type.

During our practice date before, she never made this kind of expression… now I really felt she was my real girlfriend.

At lunch, Ayaka-san brought her bento to my desk.

“Let’s eat together! Today, I made extra fried chicken just for you, Takuya-kun! Eat it!♡”

Her eyes sparkled.

She picked up a piece with her chopsticks and said, “Aaah” as she held it toward my mouth.

I could feel the other classmates staring, but she didn’t care at all.

I shyly opened my mouth, and Ayaka smiled while looking pleased. “Is it good?” she asked.

The first bite was juicy and delicious.

“So good… thank you,” I said, and she got even more lovely and rested her head lightly on my shoulder.

“Ehehe, just being like this with you makes me so happy…//”

Our crazy lovey-dovey display made the boys around us look on with envy.

As the afternoon approached, Ayaka-san leaned close and whispered in my ear.

“So… where are we going?” I asked. “The movies! We went before, but I really want to go again properly as your girlfriend!” she said cheerfully.

I nodded and started thinking about what kind of movie to watch.

During our practice date, we saw a romantic comedy, but this time I thought we could try something a little adventurous. It was an action movie.

I looked it up online and found an action movie that looked fun, so we decided to watch it.

“Wow, that sounds great! I’ll be happy with whatever you pick, Takuya-kun!♡ But… I might squeeze you if there’s a scary part//”

Ayaka laughed.

This girl… Why is she just so cute?

After school, we left the school together and headed to the movie theater near the station.

Just holding hands while walking made Ayaka look so happy that she was almost skipping.

“Ah… I love you…”, She said in a sweet voice while looking at me.

“I love you too,” I replied, and she squeezed my hand tightly and smiled brightly.

When we got to the theater, we bought our tickets.

We chose an action-packed spy movie.

Then we grabbed popcorn and drinks and sat down.

As soon as we sat, Ayaka wrapped herself around my arm. Her chest pressed against my elbow way more than it should!

“Ehehe… I tried pressing my chest against you…//”, she whispered.

It seemed like she was doing it on purpose.

Once the movie started, the action scenes were intense.

Amidst the loud explosions, Ayaka clung to my hand.

“Ah! Scary! Takuya-kun, protect me//”, she said and looked adorably scared.

I laughed and pulled her close and said, “It’s okay.”

We shared the popcorn, and her fingers intertwined with mine.

When a love scene came on, her breathing became a little heavier. She whispered in my ear, “After this… I want to kiss you like this, Takuya-kun//”

My heart skipped a beat, and I lightly kissed her cheek.

The darkness of the theater made it easier to be bold.

When the movie ended, and we stepped outside, the sunset painted the city in orange.

“Next, let’s go to a café! I want to talk about the movie♡”

Ayaka suggested, and we headed to a nearby open-air café.

We ordered iced coffee and sat at a table on the terrace.

“That action scene was so cool! Just like you, Takuya-kun♡”

Her eyes were sparkling.

After the café, we decided to take a walk in the park.

We stopped under a cherry blossom tree, and Ayaka looked up at me and said shyly, “I want to kiss… here//”

I checked around, then gently pressed my lips to hers. It was sweeter and longer than yesterday.

Her body leaned against mine, and we shared warmth. Our tongues touched lightly, and her soft breath mixed with mine.

By the time we got to her house, stars were shining in the night sky. I walked her to the door, and we shared a goodbye kiss.

“See you at school tomorrow♡ I love you, Takuya-kun.”

She waved as she left. Walking home, I thought to myself.

Real youth is finally starting. The spring of misunderstandings is over. 

From now on, I’ll turn to the next page of life together with Ayaka.
