Chapter 79 : Departure To The Academy

As soon as I woke up, the scent of the after-sex was strong—basically, everywhere. The tables, closet, and everything else were upside down. Then I found myself hanging on the side of the bed.

I lifted my upper body up to see Lily sleeping beautifully at the center of my own bed, concealing her nude body with my own bed sheet along with her lustrous hair that shines like the sun, covering her sleeping face. Her breathing was so soft that I could barely hear it. To my surprise, last night, after going back from the guild, Lily presented herself in a way; I wouldn’t ever dream of her doing it on her own accord, yet it happened.

Until now, I’m still in a state of confusion whenever I recall yesterday’s events with the guild master. Knowing the fact, he’s acquainted with Alicia still baffles. Is his mind controlled by Alicia?

Why of all people would she send a gift to me? And out of all places, she chose to give it to the guild master when she could just directly give it to me? It doesn’t make any sense. Or is she just playing around? Because from Diana’s words, she’s the mischievous type who likes to play around. She’s a frightening person to ever mess with because of her unknown innate abilities, which even Diana can’t explain in detail.

A foot landed over my face. Removing it from my face and placing it back to where it should’ve been, I slid out my legs that’s between her hips and the bed. After getting out of bed, I went ahead to pick up the pendant over the table. The colorful reflection of the sunlight from the jewel once again went through my eyes. No matter how many times I try to pour my quintessence into it, nothing happens.

“Is this really just a normal pendant?”

After knowing this fact, the anticipation of this being an artifact crumbled down along with the image that I established of the guild master. What a disappointing day. My feet took me to the bathroom and there, I found my own reflection. The old silver hair that I had at the beginning was now filled with black and violet shades. I was stared at by my own reflection; auburn iris and golden pupil. Up until this day, I didn’t notice the changes around my pupils where there’s a glowing red circle at the outer end of my golden pupils.

“What’s this?” I lean closer to the mirror.

“Stop kissing the mirror, Claude. And, why are you that close to the mirror?”

“You’re awake now?”

“Of course, I felt something around my feet which caused me to wake up.”

“Excuse me.”

The blinding sight of Lily’s appearance always overwhelms me. Her pure skin and eyes always shine the brightest early in the morning. Despite seeing it countless times, I can’t get enough of it. The same could be said for her, as she covers her body with the bedsheet even though I’ve seen it many times.

Lily passed by to the toilet. The lingering aroma tickled my nose once her golden hair fluttered in the air, as she passed. It kindled the fiery flaming desire in my chest along with the thing between my thighs. How unlucky am I? I remembered that we’re supposed to leave early now. So, I took my feet out of the bathroom…

“Claude.”

…But, I got called out by Lily.

I turn my head around. “Yes? Do you want something from me, princess?”

“Come here.”

I ignored her and went straight ahead, for me to just meet the wall of ice in front of me. “Really now, Lily? We have no time.”

“You don’t want it?”

Lily unveils the glorious body beneath the cover, spreading it wide open for my eyes to see. Beholding the sight of her figure, sweat is coming out of my body profusely. I’m resisting the temptation as we don’t have any spare time left for our departure. There are strict guidelines that were stated around the letter that we received upon our acceptance. But in the end, I fell into temptation considering my self-control was atrocious.

The sun was rising in the sky, it was at a clear view for every person below to behold the beauty of the underlying sun. Alongside, the scorching heat that it emits, as if it wants us to be killed while walking under it. Can’t it be more forgiving? But, we’re managing through Lily’s body as Adelle and I were sticking close to her with our skin touching.

“Why is it so hot today? Out of all the days.”

“Yeah, I can’t agree more. I’m so glad that our Lily was here with us.” Adelle added.

“True.”

“Stop sticking to me! You’re all sticky and yucky!”

“That’s our sweat, so it’s okay, right Adelle?”

“Indeed. Plus, Lily smells so good.”

Adelle sticks her nose over Lily’s cheek, finding a new profound paradise over the horizon for me. Quite hot.

“Looks like our academy will be interesting,” I said.

“How so?”

“Nothing, just a feeling, plus I’ll be meeting Stephanie over there. Wouldn’t that be interesting?”

“Tch.” Lily clicked her tongue in jealousy.

“Huh?” Lily and Adelle tilt their heads while looking at me.

“She’s probably upset with how things worked out yesterday. She’s upset because she wasn’t able to sleep with me.”

“How could you even tell that?”

“My guts. Do you really think I wouldn’t study Clara’s behavior throughout the years we’ve been together? Sooner or later, she’ll drag me away from you two. However, since we’re going to attend the academy she’s holding it back which is very surprising, to be honest. ‘Cause, I’m certain her self-control was way worse than mine.”

“You’re fucking with us, Claude. We’re not going to buy that.”

“I’m with Adelle.”

“Suit yourself.” I shrug my shoulders.

Later on, we reached the building from before. Once we reached the courtyard, people who were also students were also waiting with the cards they’d received inside the letter. In my card, it stated the name, age, and the necessary information of a person along with their spirit ranking and class rank—I’m at class F which is to be expected, yet my spirit ranking hasn’t been explained to me.

The only upside of this would be… There’s none! Because I’m separated from Adelle and Lily! How cruel! But I already expected something which only disappointed me, a bit. Nevertheless, I’ll just do my best in my class and at least make some friends—preferably some female friends.

Truth to be told, I wanted some male friends, because back at the guild; I’m practically the number one most hated person by the male adventurers due to the fact that I have quite a history with them. Also, because of my unfriendly nature towards people who only want to get closer to us with a hidden goal back in their minds.

While scanning the people around, I saw the figure of the twins who didn’t notice me. Just behind them there’s Shin with his girl Ami. Both of them were standing with radiating anticipation.

Before I could even blink my eyes, the ground and the sky shook violently, leaving every person in here to panic. A white magic pentagram manifested from the sky with some unknown patterns with the symbol of eyes around the other layer; the eyes suddenly had begun moving slowly, rotating clockwise around the circle and adjusting the height of it, as it got close to us.

Soon after, below our feet, tiny particles of mana had begun forming. The radiating light dazzled my eyes, turning everything into blackness.
