Is it okay for a loner like me to have a yandere? - Chapter 25- Confession
Suzune told Yuki to leave, and I stayed quiet.
My mind was racing with thoughts. I didn’t care what Yuki felt—I just wanted to know what Suzune had to say about meeting Takuya.
We walked to the living room in silence. She asked me to sit down.
I did, and she pulled out her phone.
“Is it true that you’ve been texting him?” I asked, thinking about what Yuki had said.
Suzune didn’t respond. Instead, she handed me her phone.
I looked through the messages. There were only a few texts every month, even though they had been in contact for four years.
Reading the messages, I couldn’t hide how confused I was.
Takuya: I’m in a relationship with her now. She’s naturally started ignoring Akito.
Suzune: Good. Keep an eye on her.
…
Suzune: I saw her going home with Aki-kun. I’m starting to doubt your abilities.
Takuya: I had to take care of my mom. That’s why I didn’t go back with her. I promise it won’t happen again.
…
Takuya: He saw me kiss her today. But Akito didn’t seem to care.
Suzune: Good, good. I’ll send some extra this month.
…
As I kept reading, my confusion only grew.
It didn’t feel like casual chats. These messages sounded more like something between a boss and her employee.
I stopped reading—most of the messages were just like that.
When I looked up at Suzune with a frown, she calmly said, “I sent similar texts to Daiki too. Want to see them?”
“Huh? Daiki too?” I was shocked as she showed me another thread of messages, exchanged over the past few weeks.
This time, the focus was clearly on Yuki.
I started to piece things together, but I still asked, “Suzune… were you trying to push me away from them?”
She placed the phone on the table, took a deep breath, then stood in front of me with her head lowered.
“Even though I’ve been living abroad, I never took my eyes off you, Aki-kun,” she said. “I’ve been watching you all this time—through people, through cameras—waiting for the right time to come back.”
“I wanted to get rid of the scar. That’s why I stayed away for so long. But it was so hard… seeing you all alone like that.”
Her voice shook with guilt, and yet… I could feel she was being honest.
Still, it felt unreal.
Suzune had been watching me—even from overseas? Was she… stalking me?
I could’ve brushed it all off—told myself she was exaggerating—
…but I had seen the messages. I couldn’t deny it anymore.
Takuya had been feeding her information about me for four years.
And he really did pull Haruka away from me—on purpose.
Suzune’s shoulders sank as she whispered, “I was jealous… and I hated Haruka for getting close to you. That place beside you—it was supposed to be mine. I wanted you to wait for me. But you two kept growing closer… and it hurt.”
My voice was heavy. “That’s why you told Takuya to steal her from me?”
She flinched and lowered her head even more—but she didn’t deny it.
…Oh.
“And then… Yuki came into your life out of nowhere,” she continued, her voice trembling. “She liked the same things as you, and you got along so well that I panicked. I thought she’d steal you away too… That’s why I hired Daiki this time.”
I pressed my fingers to my brow. “So you paid them to get close to the girls who were getting close to me.”
She nodded slowly. “Yes. Daiki’s father runs a company supported by the Takahashi family, so he agreed without hesitation. And Takuya’s mother is being treated at our hospital. He didn’t dare go against me.”
“Today, he called me asking for money for his sister’s school. He was desperate. I was scared he’d spill everything to you. So… I lied and went to meet him.”
She reached for her phone. “I can call him. He’ll confirm—”
“No… it’s fine,” I stopped her.
It was all starting to make sense.
Now I understood why Takuya and Daiki always acted like that around Haruka and Yuki. They were never sincere. They were just trying to make me hate those girls—because Suzune told them to.
I looked up. Her fingers were trembling. Her face was pale.
I kept my voice low. “Is there anything else you’re hiding?”
She flinched again, looking away.
“Come on,” I said. “Nothing can be worse than this. So just say it.”
She bit her lip, then finally confessed, “…Our grandfathers never made any promise. I asked them to pretend they did.”
“…”
Jiichan… even you?
“And that meeting your father is attending… it was all planned by me. I just wanted to spend time with you… and make you fall for me.”
“…”
So even my parents got caught up in this.
Even they… were part of the lie.
Wao…
