Chapter 141: Interlude – Hisui and the Smartphone
“First, let’s create a chatroom for the wives.”
Misago, the lead wife, gave the command.
“Here you go,” she said.
She held up a smartphone displaying a QR code for link sharing.
One by one, they scanned the code with their own smartphones, following the link. Thus, a chatroom named Hisui Wives’ Conference Room was created.

The names of all the wives were listed.
“The numbers are simply based on the order of joining. No hidden meaning,” Misago explained nonchalantly. Even so, since we’re still considered outsiders, we probably shouldn’t oppose the higher-ranked members.
“Whether or not there’s anything specific to discuss, feel free to chat here. Topics like the daily schedule for who gets Hisui, today’s highlights, or anything else that comes up,” she added.
“Should we include things like this morning’s chun-chun moments? It might feel a little like being cheated on, though. Do we need that?”
“Yes! Absolutely!”
Though inwardly it would destroy my brain and make me cry blood, I still wanted it.
“By the way, what’s Hisui’s address?”
Curious, I asked. Everyone froze and exchanged glances.
“Now that you mention it, I don’t have one,” Hisui said, raising a hand casually. His tone was light, as though realizing it for the first time.
“Maybe after figuring out my future income and everything else?”
He explained calmly, without much concern. That might be true, but… hasn’t he had any income until now?
“Is this about his character? Is he a technophobe?”
As digitally native commoners, we felt slightly bewildered. His reasoning seemed almost extraterrestrial.
“Could it be neglect or something?”
Having a phone is a necessity, right? Everyone should have their own device and spend about ten hours a day on it without issue.
Since that’s our norm, not having one is unimaginable.
“Not quite,” Hisui replied, overhearing our hushed discussion.
“It’s not like I’m addicted to my phone or anything. Plus, with all the time I spend pampering the girls, I’m already pretty busy.”
Hisui’s additional clarification made sense. If an ordinary guy did all that, the stress and what could almost be called sexual harassment might leave him completely drained and unable to function.
But… really?
Thinking back to Hisui’s actions, I couldn’t help but tilt my head. He seemed to be enjoying himself quite a bit.
At the same time, it also felt like a scene of male exploitation.
But if we were to voice this, we’d be complicit and risk social ruin.
“Basically, since I’m always at the inn, if you catch one person, you can easily find me through them.”
Wait, is that really the issue here?
We all silently exchanged glances, collectively incredulous.
From Hisui’s Perspective
“So, what’s the real story?” Yata asked.
“Well, back where I come from, for guys, phones and computers are primarily for porn or making money—or getting something to substitute for those. Here, though, actual experiences come to you naturally, so there’s no need for phones or anything.”
“That makes sense,” Yata nodded in agreement, her expression thoughtful. We both smiled wryly.
The saying “seeing is believing” was now outdone by “experiencing is everything.” Reality had rendered those tools unnecessary.
It was an oddly blunt but undeniable truth.
“If I did buy a smartphone, it would probably just end up filled with nothing but videos of, uh, those kinds of moments.”
“If those memories are worth preserving, isn’t that a win?”
Later – From Ayaha’s Perspective
Yata: “Hey there! Regular check-in—are you watching~?”
With that cheerful call, morning-after photos, sleepy faces, and group bathing shots began flooding into the chat group.
Even though it felt like my brain was being destroyed by a sense of betrayal, I couldn’t deny it was also oddly motivating.
Still, long-distance relationships are hard. Maybe I should apply for full remote work and move closer…
Or perhaps switching jobs entirely and moving for this alone might be justified.
When I confessed this sentiment during a drinking session with my boss, things took a strange turn. The inn near the birdhouse was designated as a company retreat, and the main inn was made an official annual employee vacation destination.
Really? Was that necessary…?
Since quitting wasn’t an option anymore, I decided to keep working remotely and proceed with the move.
Later Still
Thanks to the retreat designation and company trips, the number of overly eager new hires surged. It was… probably just a funny story.
~Postscript
Boss: “Hmm? No, I think this place was already designated as a retreat beforehand.”
Upper Management: “If this helps attract more recruits next year, we might as well make it official. Plus, if we advertise internally before the general public finds out, it’s a guaranteed win. Also, having retreats earns tax benefits. Not to mention, there could be some perks for us, too.”
Even Higher-Up: “Ah, my old stomping grounds.”
These behind-the-scenes conversations may or may not have happened off-screen.

Chapter 142: After Washing, the Evaluation Is Too Much (Yata-Chan Before the Wedding Night)
“But, you know, that’s not right, is it?” said Yata and Misago, both speaking vaguely.
Looking around at the others, everyone’s faces were flushed, their breathing heavy, and they were speaking less.
“Isn’t it too erotic?” said Misago.
Everyone nodded in agreement.
They were in the private bath. After washing the first person, Suzume, she was glaring at them with resentful eyes, her legs and body trembling like a newborn deer.
“It’s too much… you took too long. If we did this in the public bath, everyone would pass out from heat exhaustion and dehydration,” Suzume scolded.
“But how long did it take me?” the person asked, glancing at the clock. “About 10 minutes.”
“That’s too long. We should be more gentle, and not make a scene in front of everyone,” Suzume analyzed.
Yata pointed out that the character called Greenish-blue one looked strained from the experience.
They all agreed that this washing method should be limited to their spouse, and for regular customers, it should either be very gentle or done in private.
The person acknowledged this, thinking that favoritism can cause problems, and the overall service should be lighter. They had just gotten carried away enjoying washing Suzume’s soft skin.
Yata then questioned whether the Greenish-blue one’s condition was painful. The person reassured that it was not at its limit yet, and jokingly offered to “release” it into Yata, which flustered Yata.
The person said they wanted to “release” it into Yata, pretending to be considerate, but actually eager to do so.
Yata exasperatedly called the person a fool.
Afterwards, upon returning to the room, the person was immediately overpowered and thoroughly drained, as was expected.
