Chapter 136: The Assignment and the Outburst
“Let me formally introduce myself. I am Hakuto Hokkai from the 7th Division of the Self-Defense Forces. I look forward to working with you.”
“Likewise.”
Straightening my back at her polite greeting, I returned the gesture.
For a moment, she looked surprised, then smiled warmly.
“By the way, Miss Hisui, your semen quality test ranked temporarily beyond A. It’s causing a stir politically. A new rank, S, was established to highlight national prestige. From rank B and above, the samples are considered strategic national resources. At rank A, the military—or rather, the Self-Defense Forces—provide comprehensive protection.”
To ensure no one unnecessary overheard, we moved to a room further inside. The people who had been following us took up guard positions outside. Hakuto took this as her cue to dive into the main topic.
The lighthearted tone from earlier disappeared as she adopted a serious demeanor.
It seems the quality of the semen collected recently was exceptionally high. But is it really something worth causing such a commotion over?
“This is the assignment.”
She pulled out some documents encased in a clear file.
It felt overly formal.
“Due to this situation, Ojiro and I were reassigned to this post because of our close ties here. Officially, it’s framed as disciplinary action for downing foreign military aircraft without authorization. We’ve been transferred from Self-Defense Officers to Escort Officers. Nominally, we’ll be under Hachikuma’s command and assisting with protection.”
“Does this mean… everyone is involved?”
Hachikuma’s voice trembled slightly as he glanced into the distance.
“Everyone. Double command structures cause confusion, so during emergencies, we’ll fall under your command. Please take care of us.”
“Wow…”
Hachikuma’s expression stiffened.
“But rank-wise, isn’t Sister Hakuto above me?”
“Seniority demands respect, doesn’t it? Besides, aren’t I in the ‘official wife’ category?”
“That may be true, but still…”
Hachikuma’s face grew red, his expression complicated.
“As escorts, Miss Hisui will be the top priority, while the official wives are second. It would be better if the wives stayed out of danger, wouldn’t it?”
“Isn’t that a bit excessive?”
I couldn’t help but mutter.
“Unfortunately, they’re quite serious about this.”
She produced a second set of documents.
“Take a look.”
The signature section was filled with imposing names.
“The Prime Minister?”
“It’s directly from Prime Minister Isagi.”
“That guy has come a long way, hasn’t he?”
Yata-chan commented nostalgically. She seemed to know him, but who is she really?
“They seemed regretful. They wanted to use subsidies and protection policies to confine you to a highly secured special zone.”
“I don’t need that nonsense.”
“As I thought, that’s how it would end up.”
Yata-chan rejected the idea outright, and Hakuto didn’t seem concerned, as if they were perfectly in sync.
“As for their accommodations, we’ve secured several vacant houses nearby. But what about protection inside the buildings?”
“If they’re just going to stand around like statues, they’ll be a hindrance.”
“That’s why we’ll have different teams: one monitoring discreetly outside, one working inside as attendants while acting as guards, and one resting. We’ll rotate them. For now, we’ve hired them as a group. Please manage them well.”
She pulled out a stack of what seemed to be résumés.
“What about their backgrounds?”
Yata-chan glanced through them while prompting an explanation.
“They’re my wives and subordinates. They’re capable and fit. As long as I’m around, they won’t betray us.”
She sounded a bit smug.
“And what about Ojiro? He’s not here yet, is he?”
“He was caught at the base, so I left him in charge of setting up the outer defenses. I’ll bring him later.”
She continued with a wry smile.
“That guy is more popular than I am.”
“Good for him, isn’t it?”
They both exchanged wry smiles.
Suddenly, Hakuto approached and lifted me up.
“Let’s do a security check. Show me your strength—catch me if you can.”
She carried me on her shoulder, lying face-down.
“Huh?”
A dumbfounded voice escaped my lips.
“Don’t injure her, okay?”
“Of course not.”
Hakuto replied seriously to Yata-chan’s warning. I decided to stay still, trusting I’d be safe.
With that assurance, Hakuto started running at full speed. The scenery blurred as I caught glimpses of Yata-chan sighing in exasperation, Misago blinking in confusion, and Hachikuma genuinely panicking.

Regarding expenses, this is officially part of the Self-Defense Forces’ work, so the inn won’t bear any costs. The personnel are civil servants, earning decent salaries. Rest assured.
Moreover, side jobs are prohibited.
They’ll enjoy perks like meals, hot springs, and mixed bathing with Miss Hisui. That’s the real highlight here.

Chapter 137: Hakuto and Hisui
“Am I heavy?”
“You’re as light as a feather!”
Hakuto answered in a casual tone, almost making the question seem ridiculous.
“Is there any condition to win in this game?”
I asked, curious about the situation. Since earlier, I had been carried by Hakuto in what one might call a “princess carry,” as we rushed through the inn.
“If I manage to escape, I win. If I get caught, it’s Hachikuma’s win. No time limit.”
While sprinting, Hakuto replied courteously between breaths. Despite the rapid movement, he wasn’t even slightly out of breath—proof of his impressive physical conditioning. But with these rules…
“So, you’re planning to lose?”
It felt like there was no scenario where he could win.
“I want Hachikuma to get used to winning, and I also want the escort team to see that their protection is reliable.”
It seemed losing was part of the plan.
“That must be tough, taking on the dirty work.”
I had assumed this was just spur-of-the-moment playfulness, but it seemed more calculated than expected.
“It’s an officer’s job to ensure their subordinates and others can perform well!”
Hachikuma, who had been gaining ground and was now within reach, extended her hand, only for Hakuto to evade her with a swift change in direction.
It was as if he had eyes on his back; his movements were flawless.
If I wanted to make things easier, I could thrash around or do something disruptive, but since this was meant as training, it felt right to quietly observe for now.
“By the way, honey, how far do you want to go?”
Hakuto asked, not breaking stride despite his slightly labored breathing. At some point, we had left the inn and ventured outside.
Whether it was local expertise or something else, Hakuto took unfamiliar routes—back entrances and hidden paths. From my vantage point, seeing only his back and the ground below, I couldn’t fully grasp our location, but it was impressive nonetheless.
“It’s funny you’re calling me ‘honey’ and not ‘darling.’”
“You can produce something akin to royal jelly, can’t you?”
What a crude joke. For reference, royal jelly is a special food bees produce for their queen. It’s a whitish, thick substance—not sweet like honey.
“Well, yes, I can.”
Most men are capable of that, after all.
On a side note, I could feel a peculiar sensation against my thighs—a trembling mass. It was apparent the “main body” was semi-active. I started to wonder idly if, when fully active, it might even press against my armpit. A strange thought, indeed.
“Exactly my point!”
As Hachikuma tried to cut off his path, Hakuto evaded her attempts while continuing to respond, still carrying me effortlessly.
For someone weighing 50 kilograms, I found it shocking how lightly he could carry me. It was as if I were a ball being casually juggled.
At this pace, it felt like we were running at an unthinkable speed—perhaps even over 10 kilometers per hour.
“Later, share some of that with me too!”
Hachikuma’s bold declaration was shockingly straightforward. Perhaps it was more fitting to call her “manly” in spirit.
I wondered what kind of expression she had while saying that. Unfortunately, from my current position, all I could see was Hakuto’s back, his firm, muscular legs, and the alluringly healthy lines of his body.
What a shame.
“Understood. In order, though, okay?”
“Yes! Got it!”
Running and grinning triumphantly, Hakuto even made a celebratory fist pump with his free hand.
“Argh! Don’t go flirting while escaping in front of the legal wife!”
Hachikuma shouted, her frustration evident. Indeed, the chaos of this situation was over the top.
With the sound of wind rushing past us and vibrations beneath my feet, we all had to raise our voices to be heard.
“Who cares! Good men are shared treasures!”
Hakuto remained unfazed, neither slowing down nor showing remorse.

Hakuto is experienced in many ways.
And yet, for some reason, he’s still considered a virgin. Among his wives, the consensus is that neither role reversal nor overthrowing the established hierarchy is allowed.
By the way, there’s an interesting study about young dolphins. It seems the more they engage in same-sex play, the better they perform in real mating later.
If we applied that to humans, it would imply that young men should explore such paths early. Fascinating, isn’t it?
Anyway, Hakuto is quite accustomed to things.
As for the time spent on this chase, it felt like over ten minutes of sprinting at full speed while chatting. He’s a monster, plain and simple.
