The blue sea and the white sand.

“It’s so hot…”

I muttered while sitting on a blue beach mat in my swimming trunks.

The morning sun shone brilliantly over the ocean, without a single cloud obstructing its brilliance.

As the midsummer sunlight bathed my entire body, I could feel my stamina being gradually drained away.

This wasn’t just due to the direct sunlight, but also because of the absurd temperature difference between me and the person next to me.

“Woohoo! It’s been ages since I’ve been to the beach. I’m so pumped!”

Asahi’s father, Kazuaki, proudly displaying his chest hair, was more excited than he’d been in a long time.

Naturally, this earned them questionable glances from the people around them.

– Was it a mistake to bring them here?

Well, Kazuaki was the one who had driven them here, so it made sense in a way, but combined with the beach vibes, it was definitely a bit too intense.

“Still though, Asahi and Fuyuka-chan…”

Kazuaki crossed his arms and nodded to himself.

A few hours ago, Asahi and Fuyuka had announced their relationship to the Kagami family.

To celebrate, they decided to take the entire Kagami family plus Fuyuka on a beach trip. Actually, the original plan was to get them to announce it during the trip.

And now here they were, with Kazuaki more enthusiastic than ever.

He was just overjoyed about Asahi and Fuyuka dating. Though for the person in question, it just felt awkward.

Kazuaki, who had been stretching his nose, instantly froze.

When he timidly turned his head, Touko’s cool expression greeted him.

Wearing a black triangle bikini, Touko sat beside Kazuaki.

With a figure that defied her age, she quickly drew the attention of the men around them.

So much so that you could easily mistake her for being the same age as those two young women who had passed by earlier.

“So, what exactly have you been looking at?”

“Ah no, I just thought the ocean was beautiful.”

“Is that so? Is that all you have to say?”

The pressure was so intense that even Asahi could feel it.

“Touko-san is the most beautiful!”

Before him stood his beloved girlfriend wearing a blue-toned swimsuit.

“It really suits you.”

“Thank you…”

Fuyuka’s face turned red with embarrassment.

She wore a one-piece swimsuit adorned with frills at both the top and bottom, which fluttered delicately in the breeze.

While it wasn’t particularly revealing, it still showed more skin than her usual casual wear.

“…Fuyuka, please wear this haori.”

“Eh… But I just put on the swimsuit.”

“Please…”

Fuyuka tilted her head but complied with Asahi’s request and put on the light jacket.

“Ah, that’s youth right there.”

“Fufu, indeed.”

Ignoring the tepid gazes from the sidelines, Asahi whispered into his girlfriend’s ear.

“Please don’t wander too far from me.”

“Heh?!”

Caught off guard by the sudden bold statement, Fuyuka’s shoulders jumped slightly.

Asahi hadn’t meant anything profound by it, but being so direct was simply too much for Fuyuka’s heart.

“You know… Otherwise guys might try to hit on you…”

“Ah… I see…”

Fuyuka placed a hand over her heart in relief, and this time it was Asahi who tilted his head.

“Then there’s nothing to worry about.”

With a confident declaration she said:

“I never planned to leave your side anyway.”

Witnessing a smile that rivaled the sun’s brightness, Asahi realized he was no match for her and smiled too.

Overwhelmed by the summer heat, his body felt like it was burning (in a good way).
