Chapter 70: Don’t Think You’ll Make It Back Alive
However, before that, there is something I must do.
I need to receive proper retribution, not just for making Liliana-sama kneel before me and causing trouble for the Emperor, but also for the humiliation of being made to kneel myself. If Liliana-sama is unable to stand up to Kaisar, I will take care of the scum Kaisar in her place and bring him before her to apologize on his knees.
To make that happen, I must act before His Majesty the Emperor, Gaius, kills Kaisar. Ideally, I should beat him up today if I can.
Emperor Gaius will likely come to catch Kaisar tomorrow, but I could catch him myself and present him to Emperor Gaius before that.
Capturing someone like Kaisar should be easier than catching a five-year-old child, and even if I go easy on him, I could still beat him up pretty badly.
So there’s no reason not to do it today.
And I will silence the onlookers pointing fingers and speculating about Liliana-sama and me kneeling to Kaisar.
Kaisar, don’t think you can get away with treating us like that and still live to see another day.

It’s evident that school life has become much more comfortable now that there’s no need to fear Liliana and Douglas. The amount of stress they used to cause is palpable.
Interestingly, Liliana and Douglas now seem to avoid me, a complete reversal from before. I remember how I used to get caught by them despite my efforts to avoid them. I would get splashed with water magic or have my pants set on fire by flame magic almost daily. However, now it’s clear that they’re the ones hiding, and I hardly ever come across them, even when I’m not attempting to avoid them. It’s becoming increasingly apparent that they were purposely harassing me, going out of their way to find me despite initially avoiding me.
“Wait, you bastard!!”
I heard someone shouting.
Even though the voice interrupted my newfound peaceful school life, I ignored it.
If it were Liliana calling me, I might have responded, but I see no reason to engage with someone so rude as to address me disrespectfully, even though I come from a duke’s family. I’ll simply ignore them.
