In frustration, I punched my father. 

How could he say something so ridiculous with a straight face? He was beyond annoying.

“I’m not stupid enough to fall for such a transparent lie. Do you really think I’d get fooled by such an awful lie that not even a child would believe? Or are you underestimating me?”

“Can’t you understand even after I’ve said it once? I’m not dumb enough to fall for a lie. Don’t make me repeat myself.”

“B-bastard… you’re taking advantage of my kindness by being so passive…”

I slapped my father’s cheek. 

His thin facade immediately fell away, and he glared at me as if he were superior, even though he was actually beneath me.

We can’t live together if we both misunderstand each other’s positions. So, I should correct this misunderstanding firmly.

“Huh? ‘Your kindness,’ you say? You seem to have misunderstood something. As the current head of the Kvist family, I’m practically the most important person in this house. There’s no way you could be in a higher position than me. Of course, given you’re in a lower position than me, it’s only natural that you should show humility towards me.”

However, it’s disappointing to admit that my own father is so obtuse.

In this situation, it is clear that he cannot use his position as a father, and he has resorted to a line of thought that he can somehow use his power against me, someone who has already taken over the Kvist family. 

He must have been pressuring and manipulating others the same way he has been to me until now. He is truly despicable, and when I hit him, I felt a sense of justice and a kind of satisfaction of having achieved revenge.

Well, I don’t even consider resorting to such tasteless actions as wielding power or violence indiscriminately against those beneath me, as these people do, so I won’t hit them or wield power over them unless they come at me first. 

However, my educational policy is to teach through violence if words fail, and I have no intention of changing that. After all, these people won’t understand until they experience the pain themselves.
