The food laid out before us is incredibly lavish, far exceeding any meals I had while living in the Holy Kingdom. 

Breakfast had been a combination of bread, bacon, eggs, and salad—even the bread was remarkably high-quality, fluffy and subtly sweet, unlike what we usually eat—, so the grandeur of dinner caught me a bit off guard. 

Nevertheless, considering we are in a duke’s residence, it’s not entirely surprising.

“Shall we eat? Is there anything you don’t like?”

As Kaisar-sama asked me about my dislikes, I felt it would be disrespectful to say anything in front of such a sumptuous meal. So, despite hating celery, I impulsively said, “None.”

Usually, someone of Kaisar-sama’s status might react with fury, saying something along the lines of, ‘You dare refuse the food I’ve provided?’ Yet, he did nothing of the sort and instead affirmed that it’s only natural to have food dislikes.

From this, I can see glimpses of Kaisar-sama’s kindness.
