Chapter 04: On the Verge of Bursting into a Laughter
From the start, I had occasionally thought, “I’ve seen this face somewhere before,” but the thought always struck me as odd.
When I looked in the mirror, I felt like I was living in a different world, one where I was there but not really there, and I even had moments where I questioned whether I truly existed.
Sometimes, I didn’t even wonder why I felt that way. Later on, I found it strange that I had those thoughts in the first place and didn’t even question them.
However, I now understood all of those mysteries.
I couldn’t comprehend why it had happened, but it seemed that I had been reborn in this world as the character I had raised in my previous life playing the VRMMO game, Legend of Yggdrasil.
Gaming was the only hobby I had in my previous life, and I got so obsessed with it that I spent most of my salary on it. It was the only world that felt more real than reality itself.
I might have died from a heart attack or something during the game, or there might have been other reasons why I was reborn in a different world, but such matters were trivial now and didn’t matter.
The fact that I got reincarnated as the character I had raised in Legend of Yggdrasil was what mattered.
Oh. If only I possessed the abilities listed in this status, I would burst into laughter.
However, it’s still too early. I can’t just go and try to beat up those who made fun of me without confirming if I truly have these abilities and can use magic and skills.
I would look foolish if I acted without certainty.
Therefore, my priority right now is to verify if my status is real.
I have to suppress my eagerness and wait until after school to do so.

“This place good enough, I guess?”
Around 2 a.m., I snuck out of my house and went to the school’s training grounds.
No one should be around at this time, and even if there were one or two people, I could easily silence them with my abilities or leave them alone since there wouldn’t be any problems even if I were seen.
