- I, Who Am Somehow Only Liked by Yanderes, Tried Transferring into a Class Full of Yandere Girls
- Chapter 6: In the Classroom at Night (Kageyama Fumika POV)
After school.
When night falls, I scale the fence that encircles the school grounds to sneak in.
Even as a student, this is undoubtedly illegal entry.
If caught, I might face more than just a scolding. But necessity knows no law. To achieve my goal, I cannot be picky about the means.
I skirt around the darkened school building, its lights extinguished.
The door near the emergency staircase landing, its lock broken, allows me entry into the building.
While private high schools and those with sleek efficiency might have a well-maintained security system, our school has nothing of the sort, making it easy to infiltrate.
Relying on memory and moonlight, I navigate the pitch-black hallway and ascend the stairs to the second floor, reaching the classroom I’m looking for.
The window second from the right on the hallway side, at floor level — the one I secretly left open during the day — serves as my entry point into the classroom.
Ignoring all other desks, I head straight for the one by the window in the front row.
It’s Aiji Yuto’s desk.
Peering inside, I find it crammed with a pencil case and textbooks.
He had left his things here today for self-study.
Careless but endearing in its way.
Ever since I was young, I’ve loved collecting belongings of those I’m fond of.
It feels like obtaining a part of them.
I vividly remember when I started liking him.
I had fainted from anemia, and he had carried me to the infirmary. Since then, I’ve found myself following him with my eyes.
My feelings grew day by day, eventually leading me to steal his belongings.
At first, a mechanical pencil was enough. But soon, my desire grew, extending to textbooks, notebooks, and even his gym shoes.
The time I stole a side dish from his lunch was risky.
I sneaked out during P.E. class and stole it from his school bag in the classroom.
The stolen items lose their flavor after being savored too many times. That’s why I’m here again today, to steal something new.
I open the pencil case inside the desk and take out a mechanical pencil.
Imagining him using this pencil, a thrill runs through my lower abdomen.
“Ah ha…♪”
I can’t wait until I get home. I want to savor it here and now.
Slowly licking the grip where his fingers must have been, I try to absorb his fingerprints into me.
Through this mechanical pencil, we are connected.
That’s when it happened.
“So, you’re the thief.”
Startled by the sudden voice from behind, my heart leaps.
I whirl around.
Sitting atop a shelf at the back of the classroom with crossed legs, there was a figure resting their small chin on their propped elbow, looking down at me from their lofty perch.
Illuminated by the moonlight, the figure’s form becomes distinct.
“…Tsukimiya Shiika.”
The pinnacle of both academics and beauty, a high achiever admired by all.
“Why are you here?”
And — why didn’t I notice her?
Before entering, I had checked the classroom.
Did she completely erase her presence and aura?
“I heard Aiji Yuto’s belongings might be getting stolen, so I was on the lookout.
You’re Kageyama Fumika from the next class, right? It’s not commendable to enter another class, especially late at night.”
“You’re trespassing too…”
“I’m the class representative. It’s okay.”
Tsukimiya Shiika appeared nonchalant.
“By the way, a bit of unfortunate news. The personal belongings in Aiji Yuto’s desk are all mine.”
All hers?
“That’s impossible. The pencil case and mechanical pencil are his.”
“I matched them.”
Tsukimiya Shiika stated flatly.
“Doesn’t your inability to notice this means your love for him isn’t strong enough?”
“…”
Strong enough love for him?
Impossible.
I love Aiji Yuto more than anyone.
“Are you going to report me?”
“No, just here to warn you.”
“Warn?”
Tsukimiya Shiika smiled faintly.
“Everything that belongs to Aiji Yuto is mine. Everything he owns is included from the tip of his little toe to the top of his whirl of hair.”
She said so.
“Could you please not meddle with them?”
“…!”
I couldn’t contain the rush of blood to my head.
This girl, she too — was interested in him.
But above all, she treated him as if he were her own — when he is mine.
In a rage, I reached into my uniform pocket and pulled out a cutter knife.
The exposed silver blade reflected the moonlight, shimmering.
“He helped me when I was anemic. He loves me, and I love him more than anyone. If you interfere, you’ll regret it…!”
“Hehe, you’re not used to this, are you? Your hand is shaking.”
Even with the blade pointed at her, Tsukimiya Shiika didn’t flinch. She smiled while watching me as if I were a child playing a game, her hand on her cheek.
“Okay. Since you’ve come this far, I’ll play along.”
“Don’t mock meeeee!”
I kicked off the ground and lunged at Tsukimiya Shiika with all my might, intending to slash her with the blade. In the next moment, I thought I had cut her skin.
But I hadn’t.
When I realized it, I was looking up at the classroom ceiling.
“What!?”
I couldn’t understand what had happened.
All I knew was that I had been overpowered, and the cutter knife I had was now in Tsukimiya Shiika’s hand.
She pressed my head down, and the exposed blade was inserted into my open mouth.
The cold sensation of the silver blade touched my tongue.
“Should I slide the blade and turn you into a slit-mouthed woman? Then you can ask Aiji Yuto, ‘Do I look pretty?’ Wouldn’t that be interesting?”
Tsukimiya Shiika chuckled.
I knew I was insane.
But this girl was different.
She had a look in her eyes that could easily break someone.
Above all.
She harbored a passionate love for him in her being.
Only because we were of the same kind I understood this.
“I wasn’t planning to forgive you, Kageyama-san.”
Tsukimiya Shiika spoke as if singing.
“Thanks to you stealing his textbook, I got to be lovey-dovey with Aiji Yuto. I’ll consider that a merit.”
She pulled the cutter knife from my mouth and traced my jaw with her finger.
Then, with the moonlight behind her.
She declared with an angelic smile.
“But don’t ever show your ugly face to me and Aiji Yuto again. Otherwise, you’ll never be able to walk in public again.”
Tsukimiya Shiika emphasized her point.
“Got it? Is it a promise?”
I violently nodded my head.
There was no other choice.
Tsukimiya Shiika was hailed as an angel by everyone.
But in my eyes, she was unmistakably a devil.
