- Chapter 27: First Time Having Someone Over
Recently, I mentioned to Tsukimiya-san that I’ve never had anyone over at my house.
But today, for the first time, someone officially visited.
“Excuse me for intruding♪”
It was a Saturday afternoon.
Yokawa-san, in her casual clothes, stepped over the threshold of my room.
This morning, we were both scheduled for a work shift.
After the shift, Yokawa-san suggested we hang out in the afternoon. During our casual chat at work, she skillfully deduced that I had no plans, and I couldn’t think of a reason to decline her invitation.
I had assumed we would go out somewhere, but Yokawa-san wanted to visit my house.
“No, but it’s messy. It’s not really in a state to be shown.”
“It’s okay.♪”
Overwhelmed by her insistence, here we are now.
“Wow. So this is Aiji-kun’s room. This is where you always talk to me on the phone.”
Standing in the center of the Western-style room, Yokawa-san looked around before stretching her arms wide, taking a deep breath as if absorbing the room’s air.
“Haha. It smells like Aiji-kun here.♪”
“Is that a good smell?”
“Mmm. It’s a calming smell.”
Yokawa-san smiled shyly. Cute.
Her uniform looks great, but so does her casual attire.
A logo T-shirt paired with denim pants for a casual look.
They are fashionable, but people with good figures look good in anything. That was a reality hitting me hard.
“Am I the first person you’ve invited over?”
“Yeah.”
When she expressed her wish to hang out at my house, I told Yokawa-san that I had never invited anyone.
“Then, I’m your first guest, huh?”
“Seems so.”
“I’m so happy.♪”
If Yokawa-san is happy, then I’m really happy, too.
Her charming actions made me feel this way.
Thinking about it calmly, having Yokawa-san over at my house is incredible. It must seem like a dream scenario to the boys in our class.
If only she didn’t have that possessive streak…
“So, what do we do? There’s only so much we can do in a room.”
“I’m just happy to chill and lounge around with Aiji-kun. Spending enjoyable time together is what matters most.”
Saying this, Yokawa-san noticed the game console in front of the TV.
“Hey, you have a Switch.”
“Let’s play a game.”
“Do you play games?”
“Of course. Oh, you have Mario Party, the one from the N64 era. I used to play this a lot when I visited my much older cousin in the countryside.”
“Then, let’s go with that.”
We decided to play Mario Party together.
It’s a board game where you roll dice and play minigames. The player who collects the most stars wins. It’s a party game that everyone can enjoy.
Thanks to my online Switch subscription, we could play almost all the Mario Party games from the N64 era.
Sitting side by side on the couch, we focused on the TV screen as we played.
I soon realized something.
“Yay. I win again.♪”
Yokawa-san was quite a serious player.
She kept winning the minigames and hoarding coins.
Whenever she won, she’d flash a double peace sign towards me, boasting her skills.
But I couldn’t just keep losing. I had honed my skills in solo play.
We were locked in a back-and-forth battle.
At one point, I landed on a Boo space.
Landing on a Boo space allows you to steal coins or a star from another player.
I chose to steal coins from Yokawa-san.
As Boo approached Yokawa-san’s character to haunt and steal coins, I had to button mash to steal more.
“I’ll sabotage you!”
“What!?”
Yokawa-san hugged me to prevent me from mashing the buttons, tickling my sides.
“I got you!”
In retaliation, I started tickling Yokawa-san’s sides.
“Ahaha. That tickles!”
She twisted and laughed.
“Sorry, sorry! I give up!”
But I didn’t stop.
“Eek~!”
Frolicking on the sofa with gleeful abandon, it was just us.
What is this? It’s fun.
It’s like we’re a couple enjoying a holiday together.
Then, it happened.
Ping♪
A call came in on the smartphone I had left on the table.
Who could it be?
Just as I was about to reach for it, Yokawa-san’s hand firmly grasped mine, stopping me.
“We’re playing right now. I don’t want you contacting anyone else.”
“Ah, right. Of course.”
Yokawa-san was right.
It was my bad.
But there was an unusual intensity in her grip.
The playful atmosphere had vanished, replaced by an awkward tension. It was then that Yokawa-san broke the silence.
“Hey, Yuto-kun, I have a favor to ask.”
“A favor?”
“Could you delete all contacts except for mine?”
“Excuse me?”
“I want you to delete the contacts of all other girls.”
At first, I thought she was joking.
But her eyes were serious.
“No, that’s a bit much.”
“Why? You don’t have a girlfriend, right? So it shouldn’t be a problem.”
“But I still have friends.”
“Can’t you just talk to your friends at school?”
“What if they invite me out on holiday?”
“You have me for that.”
Yokawa-san placed her hand on her chest and said.
“Whatever you want to do with your friends, I’ll do it with you. Going out, talking, and everything else. That should be enough, right?”
“But even if you say that…”
Instead of answering, I posed a question.
“What if I asked you to delete everyone but me from your contacts? You’d have a problem with that, right?”
“That’s fine with me.♪”
Really?
“But you have a lot of friends…”
“Of course, friends are important. I love them all. But…”
“But?”
“I love you much more, Yuto-kun.”
She said it without hesitation, her gaze on me consumingly.
“I only want you to look at me, to talk only with me. I don’t want you to exchange words with any other girls.”
She leaned in closer, her words carrying a moist heat.
“In return, I’ll make sure every moment you spend with me is enjoyable. I’ll do anything you want. So, let’s only be connected?”
Her eyes were soft, radiating a dark heat.
An unusual atmosphere flowed between us.
I had never been in a relationship before, and naturally, I had never engaged in any sexual activity.
But it was clear to me.
This was one of those moments.
And my premonition was correct.
As if pushed by the flow of the moment, Yokawa-san slowly moved her face closer. Her pale pink lips sought to claim mine.
She was completely lost to her fever, running wild.
This is bad. My body was frozen, unable to move, powerless to resist…
Then, it happened.
Thud.
A loud noise came from the direction of the closet.
—That sound, it’s Usuki-san, right? What is she doing…? Couldn’t she stand the sudden turn of events?
Or is she normally here even on holidays?
Either way, it was a masterful play.
The lewd atmosphere that had enveloped us was instantly severed. My body, previously paralyzed, could move again.
“Did something fall, I wonder?” I played dumb.
“Ahaha. That scared me.”
Yokawa-san smiled shyly, embarrassed.
Good.
I thought we had successfully shifted the atmosphere when…
“Shall we continue?♪”
The dim light returned to her eyes.
The fever that had possessed Yokawa-san was not so easily extinguished.
Accepting her now meant no going back, but rejecting her could completely flip her feelings for me.
What do I do?
What should I do—In the moment before I was devoured, my thoughts raced.
“Hey, what are you doing with Yuto-kun?”
A voice was heard.
It was a voice belonging to a third party that shouldn’t have been there.
