- I, Who Am Somehow Only Liked by Yanderes, Tried Transferring into a Class Full of Yandere Girls
- Chapter 20: Walking to School Together
When the two most beautiful girls in the class, Tsukimiya Shiika and Hina Yokawa, confessed, I couldn’t believe it. It felt like a dream, a dream I wished to be true.
I liked both of them.
But that was under the assumption that they didn’t like me back. The idea of someone liking me scared me because of my past traumas. This fear of anyone showing interest in me made my feelings cool off rapidly when they confessed. My warm feelings were quickly painted over with fear.
Even after I rejected their confessions, they didn’t show any hatred towards me.
Our relationship as friendly classmates continued as if nothing had changed. However, after revealing their feelings for me, they became more proactive. For instance—
“Good morning♪ , Aiji-kun.”
This morning, as I left home to go to school, Tsukimiya-san, in her uniform, was standing at my front door. Holding her school bag in front of her, she greeted me with a 100% pure smile, her aura shining like an angel descending from heaven.
“…Good morning, Tsukimiya-san.”
I returned her greeting and immediately asked,
“Why do you know where I live?”
Tsukimiya-san shouldn’t know my address. I never told her.
“I’m a class representative.”
That explanation made no sense. Being a class representative isn’t an answer to every question.
“I found out your house is on my way to school. I thought it would be nice to walk together.”
I understood her motivation but was more curious about how she found out. Did she follow me home from school? If so, I hadn’t noticed at all. Tsukimiya-san seemed to possess some advanced tailing skills.
“Shall we go, then?”
There was no reason to refuse to walk to school together, and I didn’t want to agitate her, so we started walking.
When I yawned along the way, Tsukimiya-san asked,
“Did you talk with Hina on the phone last night too?”
“Uh, yeah.”
It had been like that every day recently. Yokawa-san seemed very concerned about my whereabouts,
“Just keep the call on. Even if we don’t talk, knowing you’re on the other side makes me feel at ease.”
She sought my presence as a background noise.
“And if I’m not talking to you, I start worrying if you’re talking to other girls. It makes me anxious.”
She had a possessive streak. She couldn’t stand the thought of me interacting with other girls. She would probe excessively, even about conversations I had with girls during my part-time job, even though there was nothing to worry about.
“You’ve been losing sleep lately, haven’t you?” Tsukimiya-san said, sounding concerned. “If it bothers you, I can talk to Hina and ask her to stop.”
“It’s fine for now.”
It wasn’t a big enough issue to bother me. Even if it were, I’d prefer to bring it up myself. I didn’t want to rely on Tsukimiya-san and risk creating tension between them.
“I see. But if you ever have any troubles, tell me. I’ll do anything to protect your happiness, Aiji-kun.”
Tsukimiya-san spoke with her hand on her chest. Her words, ‘I’ll do anything,’ felt heavy. It seemed like she would easily cross boundaries that shouldn’t be crossed.
Despite this, I couldn’t help but notice that as we walked side by side, Tsukimiya-san was truly beautiful. Her face, her aura, her gestures, all flawless.
“Her eyelashes are long, and her profile is too perfect.”
Noticing my gaze, Tsukimiya-san smiled softly.
“Is there something on my face?”
“No, nothing.”
Feeling embarrassed, I averted my eyes.
“I was just… admiring you for a moment.”
“Hehe. Is that some kind of pickup line?”
Tsukimiya-san’s cheeks bloomed with a joyful smile.
“But there’s no need to woo me. I love you, Aiji-kun. I’ll do anything you ask.”
“…………”
Anything?
The proposition was momentarily tempting.
No, I mustn’t. That’s a path of no return.
A truck rushing from behind splashed water from a puddle formed by last night’s rain onto my uniform pants.
“Ugh. What a way to start the morning.”
I glanced at the truck ahead. The driver’s window opened, and a hand threw out something. It was a cigarette butt.
Completely reckless.
“Tsukimiya-san, are you okay?”
“Yes, I’m fine. Thanks to you standing on the side of the road.”
Good, she’s safe. But then, I noticed.
Tsukimiya-san, with a somber look, was jotting down something in her notebook, taken from her bag.
“What are you doing?”
“I was noting down the truck’s license plate. They’ll pay for what they’ve done. I can’t forgive anyone who harms you, Aiji-kun.”
Tsukimiya-san smiled sweetly.
There was an unnerving force in that smile. A person smiling while angry is far scarier than one who explodes in rage.
I convinced Tsukimiya-san that I wasn’t upset, somehow diffusing the situation. I believe I saved someone today.
But what was she planning to do…
