“You have no right to call me trash when you’re trash yourself.”
“Hah? And what part of me is trash? Are your eyes rotting or something?”
Iizuka shoved me aside and walked up to Kisaragi.
“Koyuki, you look well.”
“Y-yes. My condition has already…”
“Good. Then you’re going to start working tomorrow.”
“-!?”
This bastard…!
“But the doctor told me I still need to rest…”
“You know your own body best, don’t you? So what is it? Can you go? Can’t you? Which is it?”
He left her with no choice. Iizuka stared Kisaragi down, leaving no room for argument. She trembled, her lips opening and closing, but no words escaped her mouth.
“I-I… I can… go.”
“Good. Then that’s that.”
“…Don’t screw with me.”
The words slipped out of my mouth. I couldn’t hold back anymore.
“Hah?”
“Do you even realize whose fault it is that Kisaragi is in the hospital!? It’s because of your selfish actions! You abandoned your Supporter and ran away with your tail between your legs! And now you think you get to decide when she gets discharged!?”
I stood up, refusing to back down. I couldn’t stand the thought of sending Kisaragi into the labyrinth with Iizuka, not while she was still recovering, and not even if she were fully healed!
“Quit acting like some righteous hero, you damn pervert!”
“Pervert? What the hell are you talking about…?”
“Mia told me everything. You took dirty pictures of her and used them to blackmail her, didn’t you!?”
“That’s ridiculous—”
“There’s no way Hamura-san would do something like that!”
Before I could even deny it, Kisaragi cut in. Her face went pale. Iizuka was glaring at her with a sharp, dangerous look. Then,Iizuka grabbed Kisaragi by the hair and yanked her up.
“Since when did you think you had the right to talk back to me!?”
“Ah—gh!!”
“Let go of her!!”
I grabbed Iizuka’s right arm with my prosthetic hand, squeezing hard, hard enough that my fingers dug into his skin.
“Ouch!!!”
Iizuka let go of Kisaragi and turned toward me.
“Koyuki is mine! I bought her! I can do whatever the hell I want with my property!”
“You really are the lowest piece of shit…”
“Huh??? You wanna go!? You wanna have some of me?!”
I couldn’t hold it in anymore. I was going to make sure this bastard never had the chance to act like a big shot again! I was determined to crush him to the ground!
“Alright~ You two, that’s enough.”
Abisu’s lively voice cut through the tense atmosphere that was on the verge of explosion.
“Abisu!?”
“Wow~ I was right to drop by and check on things just in case. This is getting interesting.”
“Abisu Yuiga…! Why are you here!? What do you want?!”
“Well, let’s just say I do have a reason for being here~. Look, I bought a get-well gift.”
Abisu held up a fruit basket, one that looked far more expensive than the one I had.
“What the hell did you come here for!?”
“It’s been three days, Kisaragi-chan. Feeling better yet?”
“Y-Yes.”
“That’s good to hear.”
“Hey, don’t just ignore me, damn it!!”
Iizuka launched a left elbow strike from behind Abisu, aiming for the back of her head. Without even looking, Abisu blocked it with her own left elbow.
“Ugh!?”
“…You should quit while you’re ahead. Can’t you tell we’re not on the same level?”
Abisu’s sheer presence forced Iizuka to step back.
“This is a hospital. Let’s not cause a scene here, okay?”
“Kh…! You little…!”
“Haha, thanks for that perfectly cliché small fry line. Anyway, I’m actually glad I ran into you, Iizuka-kun. There’s something I wanted to give you.”
Abisu handed Iizuka an envelope. Iizuka eyed it warily but still opened it and read through the contents.
“What the hell!?”
His eyes widened in shock at the words written on the paper.
“…Hey, what’s written on that?”
I whispered to Abisu.
“It’s a bill of indictment. You know, about that incident the other day.”
“You mean with that Red-Eyed Minotaur?”
“Yep. Basically that letter is talking about how Iizuka Atsushi abandoned his Supporter and ran away.”
“You bastard…! You’re planning to submit this to the Guild Association!?”
If that got accepted, Iizuka might end up getting his Seeker rank demoted at worst.
“Hah! This is useless! You can’t do anything to me with just this! If I coordinate my story with Koyuki, we can bury this whole thing! Besides, both the Divine Order and the Guild Association are Seeker supremacists! They won’t give a damn about me ditching some filthy Supporter!”
“You’re probably right. But, you see… I never said I was submitting this to the Guild Association.”
Iizuka’s face turned pale.
“I’m thinking of leaking it to the media instead.”
Abisu had strong ties with the media. If she published that report, Iizuka’s reputation would be ruined. His guild’s reputation would take a hit, too.
“Y-You sneaky bastard…!”
“Relax. I’m offering you a way out. Iizuka-kun, I’m formally challenging your guild, Fenrir, to a Guild Duel.”
“What!?”
“Are you kidding me??!!”
“…”
Abisu glanced at me, as if asking for my approval. I had stopped her once, but I didn’t have any intention to stop her anymore. Someone had to put this guy down.
“If you accept this Guild Duel, I’ll withdraw the accusation. If we win, I want every contract binding Kisaragi-chan to you get annulled and I want her to move to my guild. If you guys win… Let’s see, I’ll give you a massive amount of Guild Points. Oh, and I’ll even throw in Hamura-kun while I’m at it.”
“Don’t just throw me in as a bonus!”
Though, I guess it doesn’t matter. There’s no way Odd Cat is going to lose against Fenrir in a duel.
“That’s not even a bet… There’s no way we can beat Odd Cat.”
Even this self-absorbed bastard knew the difference in strength between our guilds.
“Of course. That’s why I’ll give you a handicap.”
Abisu glanced at me before turning her gaze back to Iizuka.
“We’ll only be sending in Supporters.”
