“Alisa was hit!?”
Sensing something amiss as the ship suddenly grew noisy, I had Prushe of Gamma Squad check on the situation. When the words she brought back reached me, I couldn’t help but shout out loud. I almost bolted out of my private room on reflex, but Prushe stepped in front of me and stopped me. Once I calmed down, I understood that there was nothing I could do myself.
“Fortunately, Alisa is unharmed. Only the right wing of her aircraft was damaged, and damage control worked as intended. The Migdal has now shifted to a full defensive posture. Touya-san has been designated a top-priority protection target, so you are not to leave this room.”
“…I see. Got it. …Thank you.”
With her gripping my shoulder, the blood rushing to my head finally cooled. Alisa had already undergone a medical check in the infirmary, and it had been confirmed that she wasn’t injured. At present, it seemed they were searching for the culprit who shot at her and maintaining a heightened alert in preparation for a second wave. At this point, there truly was nothing I could do.
Even for Prushe, who belonged to the Migdal’s combat forces, the current situation must have been an emergency. She held a bulky firearm she had fetched from somewhere, a faint tension visible on her face. The Gamma Squad members in the room were the same.
“Touya-dono, are you injured anywhere?”
“Captain. I’m fine. Alisa is safe, right?”
As I endured the anxious wait, the door opened and Sail-san entered. When she noticed me, she nodded with a slightly relieved expression.
“She’s not just safe. She’s burning for retaliation, and we’re having a hard time holding her back.”
Rather than being shaken by taking a hit, Alisa was overflowing with hostility. According to the captain, the Alpha Squad members had her in a full nelson to barely keep her restrained. The fighter she had been piloting should have been inoperable, yet she was insisting on launching in the Migdal’s external maintenance work craft.
“Is that really okay?”
“Honestly, I’d rather not answer that question.”
When I asked, worried in a different sense than before, Sail-san nodded more candidly than I’d expected. An unidentified craft had already attacked, and the scene was in utter chaos dealing with that alone. If the elite of the combat forces boasting strength beyond her appearance thanks to enhancement surgery were to rampage on top of that, it would be more than just a nuisance. That, in fact, was why Captain Sail had come all the way down to see me.
“Touya-dono, if you don’t mind, would you wait together with Alisa?”
She shook her ample chest as she looked down at me with pleading eyes.
“You mean…?”
“Even if we lock her in the quarters, at worst she’ll smash the door and come out. Frankly, we can’t let someone in that enraged state take part in an operation. Until her head cools down or the situation settles, please lend us your cooperation.”
“Haa… Well, I guess that’s fine.”
With the entire ship in an uproar like a hornet’s nest that had been kicked, was it really okay to be doing this? They had to be desperate enough to want even a cat’s paw. Then again, maybe the current Alisa was worse than a cat’s paw. When I agreed, the captain’s eyebrows lifted in delight, as if she’d seen a ray of hope. Just how much trouble had Alisa been giving her?
She raised her arm casually and snapped her fingers. Immediately, the door opened, and Alisa was dragged in by Lige, her hands bound and her cheeks puffed out in displeasure.
“Alisa! …Why are you restrained?”
“Because if we don’t do this, she goes to steal a fighter. Seriously.”
Lige answered my question with an exasperated look. Alisa didn’t deny it.
…She looked like a pure, black-haired maiden. Polite, and a good woman who even cared for me. But apparently, she had sides I didn’t know about. Thinking calmly, the fact that she served as the Alpha Squad’s commander meant she was likely the strongest combatant on the Migdal, so maybe it wasn’t that strange after all.
“Touya-dono has generously permitted you to stay here. Be as grateful and repentant as you can, and behave yourself.”
“But—”
“No buts or what-ifs!”
The captain snapped, and Alisa sulked. Leaving her behind, Sail-san and Lige exited the room in a hurry. All that remained inside were Prushe and the other Gamma Squad members, who were supposed to be my guards, and Alisa, looking dejected.
“Well, for now, have a seat. Do you want some tea?”
“…I’m sorry, Touya-san.”
Seeing Alisa hanging her head, unusually lacking in energy, threw me off. When I offered her a chair, she obediently sat down. I brewed some teabag tea and set it in front of her; she began drinking slowly, like a cat lapping water. Perhaps out of consideration, Prushe and the others lined up along the wall and quietly erased their presence.
“For now, I’m just glad Alisa is safe.”
When I said that, she clenched the mug tightly. She bit her thin lips, which were tinged red.
“To fall for such a sloppy diversion… I’m pathetic.”
“I don’t know all the details, but you protected the Migdal, didn’t you?”
“That’s…”
I only knew the situation secondhand from Prushe. The spaceship that had charged at the ship at high speed had apparently been a decoy, but leaving it alone would still have caused significant damage. Preventing that was undeniably Alisa’s achievement. As I stroked her slender back, I thought about the powerful body lying just 0.01 millimeters beneath it.
“If you hadn’t been there, I’d have rotted away inside a frozen coffin. You’re the one who saved me.”
I had been infected with an incurable disease and isolated from everyone else. As people in similar circumstances died one after another, I lived in constant fear of when the reaper would come for me. A thousand years ago, cryosleep devices were still only in the experimental stage.
Looking back, that must have worked in my favor. A malfunction in the built-in timer kept me frozen until Alisa and the others pried it open from the outside. It felt like fate.
“I can’t do anything. I’m just an ordinary person with no redeeming qualities. And yet Alisa risked her life to save someone like me.”
“No, Touya-san, you’re humanity’s hope!”
Being immersed in life aboard the Migdal up to the top of my head, it was easy to start thinking I was special. There was no way that was true. I was nothing more than one man chosen by chance. I wasn’t particularly smart, and compared to modern humans who’d undergone enhancement surgery, my physical abilities were far inferior. Every night, anxiety crept in. I was worried that if a man better than me… Someone more capable than me were found, everyone would turn to him instead. I was scared that I’d be discarded and thrown out into space.
“Touya-san is someone precious to us. It’s not as if your reproductive ability is all that matters!”
Something soft enveloped my head. Before I realized it, Alisa was holding me against her chest.
I’d meant to comfort Alisa, but somehow I was the one being comforted.
“Originally, if a male had been recovered, the plan was to send him to the extraction chamber.”
“The extraction chamber?”
I tilted my head at the unfamiliar term. Or rather, Alisa’s skin suit was pressed tightly against my nose and mouth, forcing the scent of her sweat into me.
“It’s a room equipped to restrain men and efficiently obtain semen. Performing sexual intercourse every time just to collect semen is inefficient, so the original plan was to have nutrition, excretion, reinforcement of reproductive capability, and extraction handled there around the clock.”
“Eek.”
I gulped at the shocking truth, revealed for the first time. It sounded like literally treating men as breeding stock, as a mere livestock. The concept of human rights wasn’t even considered. But thinking calmly, it was the optimal solution. To support the Galactic Unified Empire’s population of 200 billion and produce the next generation, the amount of semen required was simply astronomical. There was no point in bothering to thrust hips, fondle breasts, please a man, and have loving sex. Administering stimulants instead of foreplay and hooking him up to devices to eject it directly into tanks would be the most efficient.
Even so, the semen I produced would surely be insufficient. That was why, after the Migdal arrived at Calvaria, it had been decided I’d be handed over to the government and used to inseminate noble and exceptional women first.
“We serve as a kind of stimulant. Our role is merely to seduce you while you’re restrained on a platform and provoke your lust. Having it injected directly into us isn’t part of our original duties.”
Alisa touched her own crotch. It was soaked, a stain spreading. She and not just her, but the Migdal’s crew who’d been rotating day after day to indulge in throes of sex with me had all sought me out of their own will, in defiance of their original duties.
“Please don’t misunderstand. It’s not because you’re male that we love you, Touya-san. It’s because you’re Touya-san.”
She took my hand and guided it to her most intimate place. Her body heat was intense. Soft flesh yielding beneath my fingers. It was as if lewd pheromones were being secreted from her entire body. And yet, only her black eyes glared at me sharply, like those of a hunting dog.
“If you still don’t understand, I’ll tell you as many times as it takes. And if you still doubt it… I’ll pound it directly into your body.”
“Whoa!? H-hey, Alisa!?”
With strength I’d never felt before, I was lifted effortlessly. I’d been told by Lige and the others that Alisa possessed monstrous strength from enhancement surgery, but she’d never been rough with me until now. She tossed the shocked me onto the bed and immediately straddled my waist.
“Haa, haa—♡ Brace yourself, Touya-san♡”
“A-Alisa? Alisa-san!?”
I turned my face to call for help from Prushe and the others, but they didn’t move an inch, as if they’d turned to stone.
“Prushe and the others understand perfectly~♡ If they interfere, I’ll send them flying~♡”
“Alisa-san!?”
Alisa’s toned thighs clamped around my waist like a vise. No matter how I flailed my limbs, all that happened was her firm, pointed breasts bounced enticingly.
“Touya-san, make sure you remember my love properly♡”
So this is what it’d be like if I were put in the extraction chamber?
Realizing I couldn’t hope to overpower the girl before me, I felt a kind of resignation. How long would it take before the captain and the others finished dealing with the situation? I just hoped I wouldn’t be dried up by then.
As I thought that, pink lips, panting heavily, drew close to me.
