- I Was Stranded on a Deserted Island with a Beautiful Classmate
- Chapter 89 - Whitewater and Stratfor (Kurashima’s Perspective)
Kurashima Futatsu was killed by our classmate, Tetsu Hayasaka. When I heard of this rumor, shock surged through me.
More than sadness, I was filled with anger.
Damn Tachikawa… he broke our agreement.
He’d promised my brother the “Treasure Island” and a female slave. But instead, he squandered our organization’s funds like water, spending it all in search of treasure until he finally ran out of money.
News of his death came at that exact moment, leaving me at a loss for words.
Yet, what mattered most was that my brother was murdered. I was furious.
The Kurashima family, you see, is what society would call a criminal organization.
Weapons trading, helping high-profile fugitives flee the country… we handle all sorts of deals and work.
I’d wanted my younger brother, Futatsu, to live a normal high school life. But that was a hopeless wish. My brother turned out like me, which led him to pull off such a reckless plan.
In that way, he was different from me.
I made up my mind to leave the Kurashima family.
Men dressed in black looked at me with concern.
“Where are you headed, young boss?”
“Isn’t it obvious? To kill Hayasaka, my brother’s murderer.”
“…But, young boss, the Treasure Island is under the intervention of an American private military company, Whitewater.”
“I know. It’s all part of that plan of Tachikawa’s. It made the news, and the island’s off-limits now, but America won’t stay silent. Even Stratfor is involved.”
Yes, all of it was Tachikawa’s scheme.
Even in death, that bastard left us with problems.
He’d been using connections through someone named John Smith to move the American underworld.
And now, I was aiming for that “Treasure Island.”
I took along a few subordinates, including Tanaka and Akira, who shared the same grudge. They were annoyingly persistent about coming.
Well, they were my brother’s friends… and more people never hurt.
“A-Ah… Daichi, thank you for arranging the boat,” said Tanaka, who looked every bit a thug, bowing politely.
“It’s no problem. You two were close friends of Futatsu. Plus, you want to kill Hayasaka too, don’t you?”
“Yes! That bastard, strutting around with those women… doing whatever he pleased! He killed Kurashima… he shot Futatsu right in front of us!!”
This time, Akira spoke with a passionate fury.
It’s hard to say if it happened right in front of them, but he was definitely shot. The body that returned told that story.
“I see. After we land on the island, you two can act freely. I’ll be negotiating with those military scumbags.”
“M-Military? What do you mean?”
“We’re not the only ones after that treasure. Right now, the world’s abuzz with talk of Treasure Island… but to get in, we’ll have to slip past the Coast Guard.”
“Isn’t that impossible?!”
“Not really. Stratfor’s influence has caused enough disruption at sea already. By now, Chinese ships are creating a diversion.”
With Chinese ships entering Japanese waters, the public would be thrown into a frenzy of a different kind. Society is complex and fascinating; the moment politics or other factors come into play, things become unstable.
“So… it’s like one of those territorial intrusion stories they talk about on the news.”
“Exactly. Stratfor has laid the groundwork for us. It’ll make things easier.”
The current trending news online was about the massive intrusion of Chinese vessels, numbering over a thousand. It’s unprecedented on such a scale.
The Treasure Island story was now a minor footnote.
This is fine—this is how I’ll get my revenge.
We set our sights on Treasure Island with our high-speed cruiser.

An hour later, we arrived.
So, this is Treasure Island… quite large, and apparently uninhabited.
“Alright, Tanaka, Akira… do you have weapons?”
“Yes, sir! We buried them on this island the last time we were here.”
“Good, let me know if you need them.”
“Thank you, Brother Kurashima.”
Tanaka and Akira, bowing, quickly disappeared into the depths of the island. They can move as they like. And when the time comes, they’ll tell me where Hayasaka is.
Whether he’s alive or dead doesn’t matter.
Once I lay eyes on him… then I’ll tear him to shreds.
The women, I’ll have my fun with them. I’ll use them over and over, and when I’m done, I’ll discard them like ragged scraps.
Several minutes later, a skirmish broke out between the soldiers and some unknown enemies.
Earlier, I had negotiated with Whitewater’s leader, Jake. I hadn’t expected a muscular Black man, but luckily, I was fluent in English, so it was an easy conversation.
“Tachikawa, your brother… I’ve heard about him.”
“I want revenge on Hayasaka.”
“Understood. Your organization and ours are allies. We’d like to dispose of these brats ourselves. Our goal is the treasure. With over 30 billion on the line, our company won’t just profit; it’ll benefit national interests too.”
“Thank you.”
“Of course. Stay at sea. On land, we’re running a ‘human hunt,’ and there’s a risk you might get caught up in it.”
It seems we weren’t the only ones on this island. That’s no surprise; I’d heard that many had landed on the island right after it made the news. Most had given up and left, but a few, unable to let go of the treasure, had stayed behind.
The soldiers must be clearing out those foolish enough to remain.
…I’ll leave the bloody work to the soldiers. I’ll wait for my moment.
