- I Was Stranded on a Deserted Island with a Beautiful Classmate
- Chapter 33 - I Love You, I Really Love You
That big fin.
The creepy creature swimming is a “shark.”
I remember hearing about an incident where someone was attacked by a tiger shark off the coast of Amami Oshima.
Could it be…a tiger shark?
“Everyone, hurry and escape! I’ll handle the shark!”
“W-what? That’s impossible! Hayasaka, you need to evacuate too!”
Amane calls me in a strong voice, but I can’t run away.
In situations like this, running away just leads to getting caught. I have to fight.
It’s fine, I’ll take it down and turn it into shark fin soup.
“Hayasaka, you can’t fight naked! Take this log!”
A log flies through the air, cutting through the wind. It seems like Chitose threw it. She’s strong!
The log fell a little way from me. I want to say “nice throw”, but I have to swim to it. I know it’s risky.
There’s no choice but to do it!
“Wooooooooh!”
I swim at full speed and grab the log.
A shadow of the shark is chasing me from behind. I feel the danger to my life because of its speed. If it bites me, I’ve heard it can take me away, bones and all.
If that happens, I will die.
Too much bleeding, and I’ll be gone for good.
I don’t want to die such a miserable death. I still want to live…I want to confess to a girl.
I hold onto the log tightly and push it into the open mouth of the shark.
“——!”
“You, fin-armed trash!”
By the way, it seems tiger sharks really are called that. They eat anything, which is why they get that name.
Then, I’ll give you this log!
I shove the log into the shark’s mouth and fight back. But the shark’s strength pushes back. T-this guy…!
The log was easily bitten in half.
What powerful jaws…
Even so, I pushed the log in!
But it was crushed, and finally, the log was eaten. It seems the tiger shark really does eat anything…even a log like this.
What a monster!
I’m done for.
As a naked person, I have no way to fight back…is all I can do is give up and get eaten? Am I going to die a virgin? I wanted to at least kiss Amane.
Just when I was at the edge of despair,
“Don’t give up, Hayasaka!”
“Amane!? Why are you here?”
“I came to deliver this! A shovel!”
It was the shovel I borrowed from Riko. It’s light, easy to hold, and perfect for digging holes. Wait, it’s also quite powerful for attacking.
The tip of that shovel is sharp like a knife. It also has saw-like edges.
With this, I might be able to win.
“Thanks, Amane! Now I might be able to beat the shark!”
“Great! Let me stay by your side.”
“…Yeah, I’ll protect you.”
While the tiger shark was busy chewing the remains of the log, I raised the shovel. I swung it down onto its head, slicing it!
With a saw-like motion, I cut through it.
The shark, damaged by the shovel, began thrashing around. I kept tearing into its skin.
Eventually, the shark ran out of strength and died.
…Did I actually take it down?
“Did I do it?”
“The tiger shark isn’t moving anymore. …Now it’s safe. …Oh, I remembered. I picked up Amane’s jersey and underwear.”
“…Hayasaka, that…”
“I promised. Amane, you should change.”
“Thank you, Hayasaka! I’m so…so happy. I love you, I really love you!”
When she hugged me while I was still naked, I thought I might die for another reason.
I never expected her to come close while naked. And then she said she loves me…I was so happy.
My heart was racing. It was painful but the best feeling ever.
I decided not to carry the tiger shark back.
It was over two meters long and probably weighed between three and four hundred kilograms. It was impossible to carry such a monster back to the base, let alone to the beach.
We had to return it to nature.
“…Sigh, I’m tired.”
“I was really worried about you, Hayasaka…”
Amane, with tears in her eyes, cared for my body. Beside her, Chitose had collapsed in shock.
“Thanks, Chitose. I’m fine. By the way, I can’t see Amane.”
“Don’t worry. Amane just went to change.”
“Right…she was naked the whole time.”
I was also still completely naked.
“W-well…Hayasaka, you should change too. I can see everything…”
Chitose’s face turned red as she looked away. I felt her gaze the whole time, but—oh no! I should change too…
—Ten minutes later—
“I’m back.”
“You’re back, Amane. Now everything’s back to normal.”
“By the way, what did we come here for?”
“To collect seawater. We shouldn’t be fighting sharks right now.”
“Right! I’m sorry for going swimming instead…”
Feeling responsible, Amane bowed her head apologetically.
“That’s not true. Nature always shows its fangs. Only our allies will support us. …So, thank you.”
That’s right, Amane handed me the shovel knowing it was dangerous. I was really grateful for that action.
It was a risky thing to do, but without it, I might have been eaten. So, Amane saved me from a life-threatening situation.
Although she was worried about her lack of talent, she provided enough support. I’m grateful for that and want her to continue supporting me.
I need Amane.
“Oh, you’re not mad…”
“I’m grateful. If anything happens from now on…I hope you can help me.”
“Of course! Because we’re allies.”
With her cheeks flushed, Amane smiled.
What a wonderful smile.
As I stared blankly at her, Chitose yelled.
“Defeating that big shark…Hayasaka, are you human?!”
“I-I am human! I’m not like Kitakami, a servant!”
“Oh, she’s something else. But you’re quite strange too. I don’t think it’s normal to take down a shark.”
Well, I don’t think so either.
In the past, sailors who were attacked by tiger sharks fought back with their bare hands…I think they were more impressive warriors than me.
“That’s not true, Ms. Momose. Hayasaka was really cool!”
“Yeah, Chitose is right. I didn’t think he had this much talent. He didn’t stand out in class at all, and I never saw him speak.”
Don’t casually expose my black history! Amane is one thing, but Chitose is from a different class, so she doesn’t know!
“Wait, Ms. Momose. That’s off-limits.”
“Eh? There are people who want to know about Hayasaka’s past.”
“I activate the instant magic card: past story prohibition!”
“Aw, really? Then, is it okay if we talk about love?”
“What?!”
Love talk? Is there even such a topic?
If it’s about Amane…I might be a little interested. But if another guy’s name comes up, I think I’d be shocked and fall sick.
I should stop.
Amane seems to feel the same way and rejects it.
“Ms. Momose, we need to focus on the seawater now.”
“Oh, right! Let’s hurry!”
I had forgotten about the shark, but we had our original purpose. We secured the “seawater,” filling up containers like plastic bottles, and then we returned to the base.
