I Was Sent to an All-Female Frontline Unit to Get Rid of Some of the Trouble, but the Most Beautiful Girls Who Are Rumored to Hate Men Love Me So Much That I Have a Hard Time at Night - Chapter 63: Encounter With Narcissus (1)
Chapter 63: Encounter With Narcissus (1)
After we decided on room assignments, we planned to put our luggage in the rooms and gather in front of the inn to eat sweets.
We dispersed briefly and headed to our respective rooms.
Since it was respective rooms, I walked to our room with Elena, Sephia, and Norn.
We reached the fifth floor, where our assigned room was, and opened the door to enter.
“Wow, the exterior already felt fancy, but the room is spacious for four people, and the things in here are nice too!”
Norn looked around the room and spoke with admiration.
“Yes. I was a bit worried that if we couldn’t get a good inn, it might affect everyone’s condition, but that worry seems unnecessary now.”
“Yeah! The military would probably have arranged an inn if we asked, but I absolutely don’t want to owe them anything, and staying at a place they chose would be even worse! It’s great we got such a nice place so quickly!”
Sephia and Elena spoke with bright expressions, clearly pleased.
Indeed, not only the decorations but also the tables, chairs, and beds looked very high-quality and comfortable to use.
“What do you think, Finn? Do you like this room?”
Elena asked me, and I nodded immediately to answer.
“Yes! Thinking about living in this room with Elena, Sephia, and Norn for the next few days makes me very excited—!”
I stopped mid-sentence.
Th-That’s right.
For the next few days, I would live in the same room with these three.
Living in the same room with three women…
And such…
“Finn? What’s wrong?”
“!”
Elena peered into my face, bringing her beautiful face close to mine suddenly.
I looked away quickly and spoke.
“N-No… Thinking about living in the same room with beautiful people like Elena, Sephia, and Norn for the next few days makes me a bit nervous…”
“!”
“Finn…”
“I see. You’re nervous, Finn… Well then—”
Norn approached me as she spoke.
She came right in front of me and said in a sweet tone.
“Tonight, your big sister will sleep in the same bed with you. I’ll hold you tightly so you’re okay even if you’re nervous.”
“W-What!?”
Her sudden suggestion surprised me.
Elena, who had flushed at my words, quickly turned to Norn and spoke.
“Hey, Norn! That’ll just make Finn more nervous!”
“Really? You think so?”
“Yes! And I forgot to mention, but while we’re sharing a room with Finn, you have to wear clothes when sleeping!”
“That’s tough. I can’t sleep at all with clothes on… Besides, we’ll be under blankets, so our bodies won’t be visible, right?”
“True, blankets hide the body, but if they slip, someone might see, so no!”
“If they slip, it’s probably just breasts, so isn’t that fine?”
“No way it’s fine!”
The two continued arguing.
Then, Sephia spoke to me.
“No matter the place, those two never change, do they?”
“Y-Yes. Sorry, it’s because I said I was nervous…”
“No one in this unit would blame you for something like that, Finn. Considering your feelings about living in a room with multiple women, I think it’s natural to feel nervous.”
“Sephia…”
When I first met her, I thought she might be strict.
But that felt like ages ago; Sephia was truly kind.
As I felt her warmth, Sephia spoke in a soft voice.
“And… You’ve said several times that you think I’m beautiful as a woman, but—I also think of you as a man… N-No, never mind.”
Sephia started to say something, her cheeks flushing.
She shook her head and stopped speaking further.
From the atmosphere, I didn’t think it was nothing, but…
As I thought that, Elena raised her voice toward Norn.
“Ugh! This is going nowhere, so let’s drop the talk about whether Norn wears clothes to sleep for now!!”
She turned to us and continued.
“We promised to gather in front of the inn to eat sweets, and everyone’s probably waiting, so let’s head out soon!”
“Yes!”
“Let’s do that.”
So, the four of us left the room together.
“Oh! Elena-senpai and Teraward-kun!”
“Sephia-senpai and Norn-senpai too!”
Everyone else was already waiting in front of the inn.
Elena put her hands together and spoke to them.
“Sorry, everyone! We got caught up talking and ran a bit late!”
“It’s totally fine!”
“No problem at all!”
“Thanks! Let’s head to the shop then!”
We nodded at Elena’s words and started heading to the shop where we could eat sweets.
Sweets…
Come to think of it, when I was training as a trainee at the military headquarters, the junior girls often talked about loving sweets.
Some of them felt a bit risky when they held back during training.
Just as I learned a lot in these past few weeks, they might have learned a lot too.
If I had to fight them in training next time, I might not be able to hold back.
I felt so accepted by everyone in this frontline unit, and now I was heading to eat sweets with them.
I was very happy.
And since the higher-ups wished for my death, I probably wouldn’t see those junior girls again.
But sometimes, thinking I couldn’t see them anymore made me a bit lonely.
Not just the junior girls.
The older sister who was very kind to me before I entered the magic academy, too.
But thinking about that now was pointless.
I decided to enjoy the time with everyone in front of me.
As I made that resolution in my heart—
“Hm?”
A blond man led a group of people in Luvankrum Empire’s military uniforms walking toward us.
The man in front wore a jacket over his uniform, indicating he was from a duke’s family.
“Do you need something—”
Elena started to speak in a calm tone, unlike when she talked with me or the others.
The blond man looked at everyone and spoke.
“What a sight… The rumored beautiful frontline unit isn’t just a rumor—they’re truly a gathering of such stunning women!”
“Huh…?”
Elena let out a small sound at the blond man, who suddenly spoke loudly and cheerfully about something unclear.
Honestly, I didn’t understand what he was saying either.
But the blond man didn’t seem to care.
He moved dramatically, as if on a theater stage, and spoke to Elena.
“You, the beautiful red-haired woman at the front! From your hair and medals, I assume you’re Elena Endyheart… How about dinner with me tonight?”
Elena’s expression turned cold, and she replied in an equally cold tone.
“Absolutely not.”
