Chapter 8: The Dungeon
A dark and cramped space.
I slowly regained consciousness with the sound of dripping water somewhere nearby.
Without showing any signs of awakening, I quietly surveyed my surroundings… My hands and feet were bound by shackles, and there was a gag in my mouth.
There was no sense of anyone nearby. I was in a truly confined space, unable to even roll over on the ground.
There was no light, and I could hardly make out anything.
…
This… this is really bad.
Being kidnapped alone is the worst, but being kidnapped in a place with a lot of foot traffic and potential witnesses, not in some secluded alley, is even worse.
Unless one is extremely confident, they wouldn’t dare to do such a thing… In other words, the enemy must be a significant threat.
…
Still, doing nothing won’t change anything.
I slipped out of the bindings restricting my teenage body back to my original three-year-old self, freeing myself.
“Escaping seems… easy. It’s just a lid.”
I activated magic and moved the large board above me aside.
“Ugh, it’s too heavy.”
Struggling, I managed to move the lid and freed myself.
The place I emerged into was a dungeon cell. I had been confined in a small stone box placed in the corner of the dungeon.
Although I had escaped from where I was trapped, I ended up in another confined space within this dungeon. However, if it’s the iron bars of this dungeon cell, I should be able to get through normally.
“Hngh…”
Utilizing my small three-year-old body, I squeezed through the iron bars and exited the dungeon cell.
“I don’t want to use overly powerful magic.”
After exiting the dungeon, I carefully activated magic while paying close attention not to be sensed by others.
Through the effect of the magic I cast, I quickly grasped the structure of this space.
“Up.”
I was deep underground with no one around.
Instead, there were many people far above me, and I could sense Rinonara’s presence there too.
…
Should I go?
There was no choice to escape alone from here.
If I were to do such a thing, I would regret it deeply, and above all, it would bring great disgrace to my family’s honor. In the worst case, my father might be put in a situation where he could not prevent a rebellion.
Being expelled from a noble family and aiming to freely explore the world, this would be very inconvenient for me.
I began to move towards where Rinonara might be, carefully concealing my presence.

Chapter 9: The Prison
A dark and cramped space.
With the sound of dripping water echoing from somewhere, I slowly began to regain consciousness.
Still, I made no visible signs of waking up, quietly surveying my surroundings… My hands and feet were bound by shackles, and there was a gag in my mouth.
There was no sense of anyone nearby, just this extremely narrow space where I lay on the ground, unable to even roll over.
There was no light, and I could hardly make out anything.
…
This… this is really bad.
Just being kidnapped alone is the worst, but being kidnapped in a place with a lot of foot traffic and potential witnesses, not in some hidden alley, makes it even worse.
No one would do something like this without a lot of confidence… In other words, the enemy must be quite formidable.
…
Still, if I don’t move, nothing will change.
I slipped out of the bindings on my teenage body and reverted back to my original three-year-old self, freeing myself.
“Escape seems… quite easy. It’s just a lid.”
I activated magic and moved the large board above me aside.
“Ugh, it’s too heavy.”
Struggling, I managed to move the lid and freed myself.
I emerged in a dungeon cell. I had been confined in a small stone box placed in the corner of the dungeon.
Though I had escaped one confinement, I found myself in another locked place within this dungeon. But if it’s these iron bars of the dungeon, I should be able to slip through normally.
“Hngh…”
Utilizing my small three-year-old body, I squeezed through the iron bars and exited the dungeon cell.
“I don’t want to use overly powerful magic.”
After leaving the dungeon, I cautiously activated magic, ensuring not to be detected by others.
Through the effect of the magic I cast, I quickly grasped the structure of this space.
“Up.”
I was deep underground with no one around.
Instead, there were many people far above me, and I could sense Rinonara’s presence there too.

Should I go?
There was no option to escape alone from here.
If I were to do such a thing, I would deeply regret it, and above all, it would bring great shame to my family’s honor. In the worst case, my father might be put in a situation where he could not prevent a rebellion.
Being expelled from a noble family and aiming to freely explore the world, this would be very inconvenient for me.
I began to move towards where Rinonara might be, carefully concealing my presence.

Chapter 10: Rinonara
Political struggles over numerous privileges unfold day and night in the kingdom, swirling with love and hatred in the royal palace as various factions vie for the favor of His Majesty the King.
At the heart of such a kingdom,
Rinonara was born as a princess.
However, her biggest issue arose when her mother, who would have been her greatest supporter in the palace, passed away.
Conceiving and giving birth are life-threatening tasks.
If this were a tale of common folk, Rinonara’s mother sacrificing her life to give birth to her would be a heroic story, with people around providing support for child-rearing.
But in the palace, especially in the royal and palace environment, it’s different.
In such a place, if one can eliminate other royal family members who could pose obstacles to their own sons and daughters, they do so without hesitation.
…
Amidst this, Rinonara, now without her mother, began to tread a path of neglect.
“Hey, did you hear? That child apparently spoke at age one already.”
“Goodness, that’s disturbing. And they say she shows intelligence at three years old? Could that child be a devil?”
“Her mother must have had a tough time… Bearing the child of a devil only to die afterward. How pitiful.”
Born with the loss of her mother, Rinonara, possessing intelligence beyond her years, endured constant ridicule and slander from passing adults, growing up without the support of those around her.
“What… have I done?”
Adults did not ally with her.
And those of her own age were no different.
Rinonara’s intelligence far exceeded her peers’, leaving her without anyone to relate to or befriend.
Always treated coldly, always isolated.
Even upon hearing that she would soon be betrothed to someone appropriate.
…
“Is it an offensive or defensive move?”
That’s why Rinonara, gazing into the eyes of a boy who seemed her age, spoke words she would never forget, seeing the shock.
And that boy was to be her fiancé…
“Again, is this my fate?”
She thought of it as both her salvation and her destiny upon learning.
But fate does not smile upon one like Rinonara the devil. At least, facing the current situation before her, she resigned herself to this realization.
“Still, allowing a princess to roam freely… quite generous, isn’t it?”
“The palace, especially here, is far removed from its glamor. It’s not that surprising.”
“Is that so… But can we indulge this brat?”
“As long as we don’t break anything. We’ll use her as a pawn later. But she’s only three, you know?”
“Understood. She’s just a hungry child… By the way, what about the man seen with the woman?”
“Let it slide. He’s our supporter.”
Listening to the conversation of the men who had abducted her, leaving her restrained and naked, Rinonara had already lost all hope.
She only felt regret, thinking of Luno who had been with her.
…
“Hngh… nn, come on.”
Yet, no one yet knew that a boy was approaching her.
