I Was Reincarnated as a Creepy Fat Guy, Then Trained Myself Without Sleep. And Then, for Some Reason, the Heroines Start Approaching Me - Chapter 62: Kanna and Kanon
Kanon and Keisuke had always been together. When they returned home, Keisuke, who usually locked himself in his room, was immersed in reading books in the study, where stacks of novels were piled up.
He was a genius writer who had written novels that served as the source material for a highly famous game. However, since that incident occurred, it marked the beginning of a tragic chain of events.
An editor, desperate to somehow get him to write a sequel to Fantasia, the immensely popular game’s source material, appeared. Despite putting on a facade of kindness, this editor showed behavior that looked down on him upon seeing his inability to communicate well with others.
This editor was not the only one.
Keisuke had several meetings with the production company for the creation of the Fantasia game. However, upon witnessing his awkward way of speaking, they initially pretended to be kind but eventually deemed him inferior. Everyone started looking at her brother with disdain, attempting to exclude him.
Although Keisuke was the creator of the magnificent world of Fantasia, the people at the production company refused to acknowledge him.
Eventually, Kanon’s parents got furious, and some personnel were replaced, but not a single person came to apologize to Keisuke.
Everyone envied young Keisuke’s talent and caused him harm.
The same happened at school.
During middle school, urged by his parents to attend school, Keisuke timidly went, only to face pressure from those who deemed him inferior. This led to him eventually becoming a truant.
Keisuke is a more delicate person compared to others.
He knows all too well about the intentions, thoughts, and feelings of the editors who ignored him, the members of the game production company, and the students at school. However, aware that revealing these truths would hit too close to home and trigger angry reactions, he endured and avoided confrontation.
In the midst of all this, he encountered Itsuki.
Itsuki’s fundamentally different kindness from anyone Keisuke had met before saved him.
Thus, he decided to dedicate himself to Itsuki, determined to maintain this relationship.
Kanon had been observing her brother enduring such situations.
In this context, Kanna appeared.
From Kanon’s perspective, Kanna’s presence had the potential to shake Keisuke’s mental support.
Even though it was their first meeting, Keisuke had shared some insights about Kanna with Kanon.
This led to Kanon feeling a sense of urgency.
Kanna seemed to be a kind person. Given that, Kanon worried about the possibility of her getting close to Itsuki, neglecting her brother, who was Kanon’s best friend. Kanon had been contemplating the potential consequences if the relationship between Itsuki and her brother deteriorated.
Hence, the words spoken to Kanna by Kanon seemed to carry a sense of sadness.
Curious about Kanon’s feelings, Kanna asked,
“Why do you feel that way?”
In response to Kanna’s question, filled with kindness to avoid hurting others, Kanon continued,
“Because everyone has been like that until now…”
Avoiding eye contact, Kanon spoke. Kanna gently placed her hand on Kanon’sher soft, giant marshmallow. Gradually, her fingers sank in, and the image of a certain man flashed through her mind.
“Indeed, there are many bad people in the world, as Kanon-chan mentioned. There are a few in my class too.”
“Oh…?”
“Just because someone stands out a bit more than others doesn’t mean it’s okay to humiliate or bully them!”
The beef stew in the clay pot emitted a rich and fragrant aroma, but it was not ready yet.
When Kanon showed interest, Kanna continued speaking.
“But, you see, those bad people are actually very weak. They try to establish their superiority by belittling and looking down on others, so they’re somewhat pitiful.”
“Weak?”
“Yeah. Trying to assert dominance by demeaning others makes them a bit pathetic, I think.”
“……”
“I didn’t realize this until I got to know Itsuki, even though I’ve been living without understanding it for so long.”
As Kanna spoke gently, Kanon’s eyes sparkled. However, she quickly darkened her expression and spoke with a resentful tone.
“Even if they are pitiful, it doesn’t erase the misdeeds of those who have belittled my Onii-sama until now. They will forever remain in my memory alongside him.”
“Yeah, that’s only natural. But I still think it’s important now.”
“Now?”
“Itsuki always praises Shizukawa-kun.”
“Praises?”
“Because Shizukawa-kun has become so good that he can have a girlfriend now, Itsuki is happy about it.”
“My… Onii-sama has a girlfriend!?”
“Huh? What’s wrong, Kanon-chan?”
Sending a momentarily murderous gaze, Kanon suddenly spoke with a serious expression.
“Onii-sama doesn’t need a sow. But… he needs a mentor.”
(T/N: Sow= Female pig)
At first, Kanon had an intimidating expression, but as they continued, tears welled up in her eyes. Kanna gently stroked Kanon’s head. Both of them, dressed in school aprons, presented such a heartwarming scene that it evoked thoughts of sisters.
“I am Itsuki’s girlfriend.”
“…I knew that.”
“You knew, huh…”
“Well, it’s easy to tell just by looking.”
“Anyway, I won’t tolerate anyone mocking Itsuki’s cherished friend.”
“……”
“So, if there’s anything, I want you to tell me too. Today is the first time I’ve met you, but I’ve heard a lot about Hosokawa-kun from Itsuki.”
“Kanna-san…”
Kanon uttered Kanna’s name with eyes moistened by a sense of awe. Witnessing Kanon’s emotional reaction, Kanna, finding her adorable, applied even more force while gently stroking Kanon.
Feeling overwhelmed, Kanon exclaimed loudly, “ONEE-SAMA!!!!!!!”
“!!!!!!!”
Stimulated by the powerful words that touched her heart, which had been lonely as an only child for so long, Kanna’s body quivered as if an electric current surged through her. Unable to resist the overwhelming impulse, Kanna embraced Kanon. Kanon buried her face in Kanna’s ample and well-shaped chest, finding comfort.
“Master is the best.”
“Yeah, Itsuki is the best.”
“Onee-sama, what do you think is the best about Master?”
“Well, that’s…!!”
Seemingly struck by an idea, Kanna trembled slightly, and her cheeks flushed.
“Various things…”

In Itsuki’s room
“Damn it! Kanon-chan might find out!”
I left the window wide open and sprayed air freshener everywhere.
“Why won’t the smell disappear!?”
Various items were sealed tightly in plastic bags, and I frantically moved around, trying to eliminate the odor.
