I Was Oblivious to the Subtle ‘Yandere’ Side of My Nonchalant Sex Friend Gyaru - Chapter 2
Chapter 2:
ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー
“Aren’t you going to sleep with me?”
For some reason, as I lay in the dark room before falling asleep, I remembered those words Kurenai said on the day she first came to my room. When I asked if she was saying it as a thank-you for saving her, she replied.
“Not really. I’m just curious.”
She’s treating herself so recklessly…
I thought honestly. But, unable to resist the desires of someone my age—and with no reason to resist—I did as she wanted and slept with her.
Of course, it was my first time. She also said it was her first time too, though whether that was true or not, I wasn’t sure. We fumbled through it together, pressing our bare skin against each other without even using a condom.
But beyond that, we never got any closer.
Since then, we had become nothing more than a pair who met after school every day just to have sex at my house, and that arrangement hadn’t changed at all in these past two months. Speaking personally, I felt like I’d gained a slightly more detached perspective on things after losing my virginity, but since I was always the type to look at things that way anyway, there hadn’t been any big change whatsoever.
But what about Kurenai?
Having experienced a man, had there been any change in how she felt? Or was she also satisfied just by sating her teenage urges? Well, even if I asked her, she probably wouldn’t answer.
“…I guess I’ll go to sleep.”
I quietly closed my eyes. I tried not to think about anything, just feeling the lingering fatigue in my body as I took a deep breath. Now that I was lying alone in my bed, the bed felt a little bit too spacious.
◇
“Mornin’! Minato, did you figure out your work schedule?”
It was morning. Just like yesterday, Yumekawa came over to me.
“Yeah. I’m off both yesterday and today.”
“Ehh? If you were off yesterday too, you should’ve told me!”
“Don’t assume I’m free just because I don’t have work.”
“But you’re free anyway, right? So, how about today?”
“I’m not sure…”
“If you’re hesitating, that means you don’t have any plans. Great, then it’s settled.”
“Ah…Seriously.”
As I watched Yumekawa go back to her seat, Kurenai came to mind for a moment. She always left school before me, and then, as if we had agreed on it, she would come over to my house once I got home. Since I had found my part-time job after meeting Kurenai, I usually scheduled my shifts at night .
Thinking back, there hadn’t been a single day where she didn’t come over. That was proof she had that much free time. But how should I tell her that I had plans today?
After all, we never talked at school.
“Good morning, Yuzu.”
“Morning, Arisu. Wow, you’re in a good mood.”
“Well, yeah. I just asked him today about what we talked about before.”
“I see. So that’s why you’re so giddy.”
“It’s not like that! But… I feel a little relieved thinking I won’t have to deal with Tanaka-senpai pestering me anymore.”
I overheard Yumekawa and Kurenai having that conversation.
I see… This is a small blessing in disguise.
With this, I didn’t have to go out of my way to tell Kurenai I couldn’t meet today. If she knew I’d be on a date with Yumekawa after school, she wouldn’t bother coming over.
But… Is there any point in being her boyfriend for only a day? Will that really help her? Well, I’m not the one who needs to worry about that anyway.
◇
“Sorry to keep you waiting, Minato. Let’s go.”
Right after school ended, Yumekawa came over to me.
“Let’s go? Go where? If your goal is to show off to Tanaka-senpai that you’re with your boyfriend, wouldn’t it be enough to just walk around the field?”
“If we’re just walking together, it’ll look like we’re classmates hanging out. But today the soccer team has an early dismissal before their match, so I thought we could go to the arcade Tanaka-senpai is rumored to frequent.”
“So when you’re popular, even the places you go become gossip fodder, huh.”
“People just love gossip. Come on, hurry up!”
Since the soccer team was still practicing, I didn’t see the need to rush, but standing around here wouldn’t do anything either, so I followed Yumekawa out of school. As we passed by the soccer field on our way to the front gate, I spotted Tanaka-senpai stretching at the edge of the field.
He glanced briefly in our direction, then quickly looked away. Whether it was because he was focused on practice or because he noticed me, I wasn’t sure—but he seemed unusually cold. Maybe I was imagining things. Still, he really was handsome.
“Tanaka-senpai sure is good-looking.”
“What’s that, jealousy?”
“How do you come to that conclusion? I’m just saying he’s handsome enough that it’d be fine to have a fling.”
“What do you think girls are, exactly? Not everyone is that easy, you know. Dating someone you don’t even like? That’s unthinkable.”
Yumekawa’s words stabbed at me a little.
Dating someone you don’t even like is unthinkable. That kind of pure feeling… I don’t have it anymore. And neither does she.
“I see, that’s how it is.”
“That’s a weird way to put it. Hey, do you have a lot of easy girls around you or something?”
“I don’t have girls around me at all.”
“Haha~ That’s right. Hey, wanna grab something at the convenience store before we hit the arcade?”
“No, I’m good.”
“Ugh, how boring. You’re my boyfriend today, so you’ve gotta indulge your girlfriend’s whims!”
“Alright, alright. Do whatever you want.”
Sighing at Yumekawa’s unnecessary excitement, I left school with her. Then we stopped by the convenience store before heading for the arcade near the station.
