She said that and handed me a piece of paper which had her account details.

I put the paper she gave me in my pocket and tore it up when I was sure she couldn’t see.

When I reached my seat, Kotoko was already getting ready to leave. Then, she smiled and said these words to me as I returned to the classroom.

“Takemitsu-kun, did you enjoy chatting with other girls?”

Ah! She is definitely angry. She does have a smile on her face right now, but the pressure emanating from her was incredible. Now… How can I convince her?

“Kotoko, calm down.”

“Didn’t she just give you a memo with her Rein ID written on it?”

Kotoko glared at me and I noticed that her eyes looked dead like a black-hole. She probably heard the entire conversation between me and the girl earlier. I quickly took out the memo from my pocket which I tore earlier in shreds.

“Is this good enough? I wasn’t interested in anyone other than Kotoko from the beginning. I thought it would have been cruel to do it right in front of her,” I said to Kotoko, who was waiting for me, while showing her the torn up paper.

Kotoko’s eyes regained their shine, and the aura of anger disappeared. Then, she sighed.

“Takemitsu-kun, I thought you’d definitely attract girls like her. Well, I guess I need to be even more careful now.”

“Do you think I’d be swayed by a girl like her? She used to talk behind my back and mock me in secret, and now she’s suddenly trying to get close to me just because I have a girlfriend. I don’t want to date someone like her. Besides… I have the best girlfriend, Kotoko, so I have no intention of breaking up with you.”

“…Takemitsu-kun~♡”

She hugged me all of a sudden. Probably as a gesture of affection and also as a way to keep others away. The classmates who were watching us cheered us on.

It’s a bit embarrassing, but this is necessary; otherwise, bugs might approach us. I think I understand why she was so desperate with the insect repellent thing now.

Insect repellent is important! Kotoko and I linked arms and left the classroom together.
