ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー
The story takes us back to the night after Kenichi left school early due to feeling unwell.
Iketsuki and his group were grappling with shock and despair, having realized that their parents had abandoned them.
The lackeys, who had joined Iketsuki in bullying Kenichi, were now tormented by the fact that their target turned out to be incredibly strong and influential. They had never imagined that Kenichi had the power to socially destroy their parents at any moment. Their only thought was to somehow get on Fudo’s good side, frame Iketsuki as the sole perpetrator, and escape from this daily nightmare.
Meanwhile, Iketsuki felt disillusioned and frustrated. The once-proud father who had always provided for him, who spoke down to everyone with absolute confidence, had been reduced to groveling on the floor in front of a kid his own age. This image filled Iketsuki with disgust and anger. Glancing at himself in the mirror, he saw patches of his once-prized blond hair missing, leaving bald spots, and his face was swollen and bruised with blue marks.
[Crash!]
Iketsuki punched the mirror, shattering it.
When he looked up again, the web of cracks obscured his once-disfigured reflection, leaving only sharp, piercing eyes staring back at him from multiple angles, as if they were speaking directly to him.
(You’re not someone who should be treated like this. You’re not someone to be disrespected by that mutt. Crush him.)
“Mutt!! Don’t think I’ll let you get away with this!!! I’ll make sure you regret it!”
[Iketsuki’s POV]
Despite my determination, I knew that if I went to school, I’d just get beaten up by him again. Terrified, I told my parents that I wasn’t feeling well and wanted to stay home, but they wouldn’t hear of it and insisted on driving me to school.
(It’s like being transported in a prison van…)
Nervously, I scanned the school entrance, making sure that mutt wasn’t around before I quietly changed into my indoor shoes at my locker. Avoiding the main staircase, I took the longer route up to the second floor, cautiously checking the hallway as I neared my classroom at the far end.
(Everything seems normal… Is that mutt still not here?)
I stuck close to the wall, avoiding attention, and peeked into the classroom to check his seat.
(Phew… that mutt still isn’t here…)
My classmates shot me cold, judgmental stares, and no one greeted me. But honestly, that was fine—I didn’t want anyone talking to me anyway, in case he overheard.
Every time the classroom door opened, my body tensed up in fear. It wasn’t just me—my former lackeys seemed just as jumpy.
Right before the bell rang, Himeno walked in. “G-Good morning…” she whispered in a small voice, just loud enough for me to hear.
I don’t have time to deal with her right now… All I can think about is how to avoid that mutt. My classmates, teachers, and even my former lackeys are useless now.
…No, wait. There is one pawn that might come in handy.
My bruised mouth twisted into a sly grin.
After the morning bell, the homeroom teacher stood at the front of the class, and before starting the day, he explained the empty seat.
“Fudo-kun is absent today. He’s been hospitalized for a while due to health issues, so he’ll be out until next Tuesday.”
Tch! So that mutt is taking time off? Meanwhile, I can’t even get a break, even if I want one… Well, this gives me a week to plan his downfall. I can use this time to prepare something that’ll send him straight to hell.
Without the mutt around, the classroom was peaceful. But after everything that’s happened, my status had taken a nosedive. No one was trying to suck up to me anymore, not even my former lackeys or Himeno. I was completely isolated in class.
After school, I finally mustered up the courage to address the remaining students in the classroom.
“Hey, isn’t it nice and peaceful without him around? Why don’t you all help me get rid of him from this school once and for all?”
But their reactions were lukewarm—no one showed any interest in helping. They were all just spineless cowards. Frustrated, I clicked my tongue, kicked the door on my way out, and left the classroom.
“This is so frustrating… At times like this, nothing beats sex. Maybe I’ll hook up with Himeno again…”
I opened the app on my phone, intending to send a message to Himeno, when an incoming call interrupted me.
“Tch! Who is it now?”
I looked at the screen and saw it was from the lackeys who had betrayed me. “What do they want now…?” I wondered, but I checked the message anyway. They were saying they wanted to cooperate with my plan and asked if we could meet up somewhere.
Shallow fools… They probably didn’t want to speak up in class because they were afraid of being caught by other classmates, and in case my plan failed, they could claim they weren’t involved…
Whatever. The more pawns I have, the more options I get…
I decided to cancel my message to Himeno and sent one to someone else instead…
(Kukuku… That mutt is in for it. Even if he gets out of the hospital, he’ll be heading right back soon enough.)
