Iketsuki and his lackeys were beating and kicking me as payback for breaking his chair. There was no hesitation or restraint in their attacks.
But…
Ahh…
It doesn’t hurt at all.
While still sitting in the chair, I kicked up with my left leg, landing a direct hit to Iketsuki’s chin. He flew back, slamming his head into the classroom ceiling, a good three meters high, before crashing down.
I immediately drove both fists into the stomach of two of his lackeys, sending them flying toward the teacher’s desk.
The classroom, which had been filled with snickering from classmates who had been watching me get attacked, fell deathly silent. They couldn’t comprehend what had just happened.
Slowly, I stood up and grabbed a handful of Iketsuki’s filthy blonde hair. With one hand, I easily lifted him off the ground. There was a ripping sound as some of his hair tore from his scalp, but I paid no mind. As I hoisted him up high enough for his feet to dangle, the pain from his hair being pulled out made him regain consciousness. He started flailing and shouting incoherently, bloodied and with most of his teeth broken, drooling crimson saliva.
His teeth are almost broken off in his mouth, he’s covered in blood, and he’s dripping bright red drool as he fusses and fusses.
Tears of pain streamed down his face as he spat out curses at me. So, I gave him a light slap across the cheek.
[Slap]
A handful of Iketsuki’s hair remained in my hand as he spun through the air, landing near his lackeys.
“You… you… do you think you can get away with this…?”
Before he could finish his sentence, I drove a kick into his stomach.
“Oghee…”
He doubled over, vomiting as he writhed in pain. I glared down at him.
“Put my desk back in place…”
Iketsuki looked up, still in agony.
“W-Why should I—”
[Wham]
I backhanded him across the cheek, sending crimson saliva splattering around the room. The pain seemed to overload his brain as he thrashed on the floor. When I glared at him again, he quickly changed his tune.
“O-Okay! I’ll do it! I’ll put it back!”
Panicking, he scrambled to return my desk to its original position.
“Hey, there’s puke in front of my seat.”
“W-Wait! I’ll get a rag and clean it up—”
“Huh? I just cleaned those rags and put them out to dry yesterday. Are you going to dirty them up? Clean it up with your clothes and those of your lackeys.”
“N-No way… That’s not—”
“Got a problem with that? Huh?”
“N-No… hey you guys, take off your jackets!”
Iketsuki and his lackeys forcibly pulled off their blazers and wiped up the mess. Once they were done, I stared at them.
“You’re all wearing those for the rest of the day.”
“”W-What?””
As the bizarre scene unfolded in the classroom, my so-called childhood friend arrived, a little later than usual, and rushed in.
“Ken-chan! What is going on here!? Iketsuki-kun and you all… what are you doing!?”
With the class rep’s sudden appearance, a hint of confidence returned to Iketsuki’s face.
“Hey, Komada! You know what’s coming, right? After pulling something like this on us—”
Trying to mask his battered face, he glanced between me and my former childhood friend, smirking at the corners of his mouth.
I made sure to speak loudly enough for both Iketsuki and the former childhood friend to hear me.
“Sigh… You two are already together, aren’t you? And I couldn’t care less about what happens to my former childhood friend.”
Both Iketsuki and my former childhood friend were shocked by my words.
“Huh!? What are you talking about, Ken-chan? Why do you think Iketsuki-kun and I are together? And why ‘former’ childhood friend…?”
I looked at her with cold eyes.
“Oh, I came back to the classroom after school yesterday. That’s when I saw you and Iketsuki screwing on my desk. And don’t bother with excuses—I took photos and videos.”
“N-No… that can’t be…”
Knowing exactly what I was talking about, her face turned pale, and she began to tremble. I slowly stepped closer and whispered in her ear.
“Well, it doesn’t really matter anymore. But you two sure made a fool out of me. Be ready for what’s coming, okay~”
Still pale, she bolted from the classroom, practically running away.
“Hey, hey, what’s the class rep doing skipping out early like that? Haha.”
I watched my former childhood friend’s retreating figure before turning my attention to Iketsuki and his lackeys, who were crouching at my feet. Grabbing a fistful of his messy blonde hair, I twisted it up.
“Argh! Stop! It hurts! “
“Stop? Why should I?”
“P-Please… Komada-san… Please forgive me…”
I let go of his hair and pointed at his forehead, speaking calmly.
“452 times. And 165,220 yen.”
Iketsuki gave me a blank stare, so I sighed and explained.
“That’s the number of times you guys hit and kicked me, and the amount of money you made me spend because of you.”
“W-what do you mean…?”
“Don’t get it? During the rest of our second year of high school, you’re going to pay me back for every single hit and every yen. You can divide it between the three of you, I don’t care. So, what’s it going to be?”
Terrified by what I said, the lackeys quickly pointed at Iketsuki.
“N-No, it wasn’t us! We were just following Iketsuki’s orders! It’s all Iketsuki’s fault—he made us do it! Please, take the money and punish him instead!”
The other lackeys also dropped to their knees in front of me, pleading and crying, insisting that it was all Iketsuki’s responsibility. Stunned by their sudden betrayal, Iketsuki’s face turned bright red with anger.
“Hey! Don’t mess with me! Do you have any idea how much I’ve spent on you guys? I even took care of all those girls for you! You should be the ones getting beaten up for me!”
Iketsuki shouted as he grabbed one of his lackeys by the collar, but at that moment, the other lackey punched him in the side of the face.
“Guhe!”
Caught off guard, Iketsuki collapsed to the floor. His former lackeys then began kicking him mercilessly.
“You’ve been pissing us off for a while now!”
“Always acting like you’re better than us!”
“S-Stop it! Please, stop!”
Ignoring his pleas, they continued beating him. I grabbed both of them by the collars and yanked them back with all my strength.
They flew several meters, crashing headfirst into other students’ desks, knocking them out cold.
I approached Iketsuki, who was trembling, clutching his head in fear. His face was a mess of tears and snot. I looked down at him, smiling as I spoke.
“From now on, we’re going to have fun every day. Look forward to it, okay? I’ll be hitting you thirty times a day, as a daily quota.”
“Hii!”
“Don’t die on me, Iketsuki~, ahaha.”
Before sitting back down at my desk, I turned to Iketsuki once more and said something else.
“Oh, and by the way, you’re free to try and sue me if you want. But just so you know, I’ve got it all recorded on my phone over there—how you and your buddies hit me first this morning. I’ve also got videos of your ‘inappropriate activities’ with my ex-childhood friend at school, and I’ve recorded everything else that’s happened so far. So, if you want to take this to court, go right ahead.”
With those words, I planted even deeper despair into Iketsuki’s mind. He buried his face in the floor and started crying.
“Iketsuki~, let’s make the most of our high school days, okay?”
