I Was a Loner Who Tried Finding an Otaku Friend on a Matching App and Ended Up Matching with the Number-One Beauty Who Won the University Miss Contest - Chapter 5
Chapter 5: First Offline Meetup, The Shocking Truth
Just a few dozen minutes after I started using the matching app, I somehow managed to make a friend—an almost miraculous experience.
I even ended up having a phone call with the person I matched with, “Amane-san.”
In the end we made plans to meet in real life, and afterward we settled on the date and place through chat.
I never, ever imagined that I would be the one making plans to meet up with an older woman.
I never thought such an event would happen in my life.
Eventually, we decided on this coming Saturday afternoon, and the meeting spot would be a café near my university.
Meeting one-on-one with a girl—first time in my entire life.
Even if we’re just friends, a person of the opposite sex is still someone of the opposite sex.
As the day grew closer and closer, the tension inside me kept building higher, but the time until the weekend arrived in the blink of an eye.
——The day before, Friday.
I headed toward the largest lecture hall on campus in order to attend the last class of the day, the fifth period.
I usually sit in the very front row for lectures, but because the previous class ran over time, by the time I arrived, the front row was already completely taken.
There weren’t any particularly good seats toward the front either, so I figured I’d just sit in the back today.
Reluctantly, I took one of the empty seats in the rear.
Since this lecture gathers students from various years, a huge number of people attend, so it couldn’t be helped.
While I was resignedly getting ready, a group of three very obviously cheerful guys sat down right in front of me.
All of them had bright golden hair, gave off a carefree vibe, and somehow looked intimidating.
Ugh… this is exactly why I hate sitting in the back…
Even though I felt repulsed, I still opened my laptop and notebook.
Alright, time to review the previous lecture…
“Whoa! Hey, you two, look at that! Look!”
“What do you mean ‘that’… Wait, seriously?! That’s Amane Yui, the Miss Contest winner!”
“For real? Where, where?!”
The sunny guys in front of me suddenly started making a huge fuss.
Miss Contest? Amane Yui?
Oh, right, now that they mention it.
I remembered the incredibly beautiful girl I had seen on the poster the other day.
So that person… is taking the same lecture as me…
Out of curiosity, I followed the direction of the sunny guys’ gazes.
There she was—the beautiful girl with the small face, graceful posture, and long black hair flowing behind her, exactly the one I’d seen on the poster that day.
Her outfit had a clean feel, mainly white and soft pink.
She wore a pure white coat over a high-waisted pale cherry blossom-colored one-piece dress that emphasized how slim her waist was.
She looked almost like a model, completely standing out from the other girls. Incredible…
Amane Yui was invited over by the girls sitting in the front row and went straight to sit with them.
“Uwaaah, even from far away she’s insanely cute. No wonder she won Miss Contest as a first-year last year.”
“I heard an entertainment agency already made her an offer. Someone in the same seminar as her asked during class and she admitted it.”
“No way! I’m seriously the biggest fan of actresses who look like Amane Yui. If she became an idol or actress, I’d be an instant stan.”
“That’s way too creepy, dude.”
I could hear their crude conversation from the front, but Amane Yui’s presence was so overwhelming that even in this huge lecture hall, she stood out above everyone else.
I had only ever seen her on posters before… but to think someone that beautiful actually attends the same university.
…No, no, stop it.
I need to review the last lecture.
I tried multiple times to force my attention back to my laptop, but my eyes kept drifting back toward her in the very front row.
Me, sitting in the back.
Amane Yui, sitting in the very front.
Even compared to the physical distance in this lecture hall, the gap between us felt billions of times farther.
Well… an entertainment agency is already scouting her, so of course she’s someone from a completely different world, someone I could never have any connection with, no matter how the heavens and earth turn.
I pulled myself together and finally turned my eyes toward the laptop.

——And so Saturday arrived.
Since the morning, I did my very first hair wax and styled it carefully.
For clothes, I chose a white T-shirt paired with a brown jacket—something on the formal side.
Since I’m meeting someone I got to know online, first impressions really matter.
I definitely don’t want to be thought of as lame.
“But… what kind of person is Amane-san, really?”
Since she’s a university girl, I had secretly pictured her as one of those soft, fluffy types you often see around campus, but considering the specific light novel she likes… there’s also the possibility she’s a hardcore glasses-wearing otaku girl.
Still, since she hides her otaku side, she probably looks like a normal person in everyday life, right?
But anyway, appearance doesn’t really matter, does it?
As long as I can make a friend I can talk about light novels with, I’m happy no matter what kind of person she is.
Thinking that, I left the house.
The café was close to my apartment, so I just walked there.
I brought the recommended book, I had my wallet, no forgotten items.
A few minutes later, I finally arrived at the café.
“…Hm? Wait, the person waiting over there is…”
The small waiting bench in front of the café.
Cherry blossom petals from the tree nearby were still barely hanging on and falling gently.
A woman sat alone on the bench, looking up at them.
She wore a beige coat, a soft pink flare skirt, and a white sweater with a visible neckline—a very youthful-looking woman.
Long black hair swaying in the spring breeze, cute even bangs.
A small face with sharp lines that contrasted beautifully with her large eyes, and even while sitting, you could clearly see the generous swell of her chest paired with an extremely slim waist.
Just sitting on the bench waiting for someone, yet even from the side her figure looked like a painting…
Wait… no, more importantly—this person! This face!
“Ah, Amane Yu…!”
I almost said it out loud and hurriedly covered my mouth.
Yes, the person sitting on the bench was, without a doubt, Amane Yui.
Her perfectly proportioned features that could stand shoulder-to-shoulder with idols and actresses, and that glossy black hair.
Her fashion had a mature, model-like atmosphere; she seemed to exist on a completely different level all by herself.
But why is Amane Yui sitting on the bench in front of this café!?
Sure, the café is close to the university, so maybe she stopped by after Saturday classes or something.
But hardly anyone takes Saturday classes…
A-anyway! It looks like Amane-san hasn’t arrived yet, right?
I deliberately kept my distance from Amane Yui sitting on the bench, stood in the shade of a tree nearby, and opened the matching app on my phone.
Then I sent a message in chat:
‘I just arrived at the café! How about you, Amane-san?’
And then…
‘I’m waiting on the bench in front of the café~♪’
…Huh? Wait… what…?
HUUUUUUUH?!?!
I instantly looked toward Amane Yui again.
She was tapping on her phone, moving her beautifully manicured light-blue nails.
‘Hellooo? Kayama-san? I’m on the bench~’
Another message from Amane-san came right after, but… my brain was way past processing anything.
“No way, no way, no way, no way—this can’t be real!”
Could it really be… that the Amane Yui sitting on that bench… is the Amane-san I matched with…?
The Amane-san who loves TS breast milk stories… is the same person who won first place in the Miss Contest, Amane Yui?!?!?!?
My legs started trembling from the sheer shock.

Uuurgh while I get hes fresh into collage. Why do I feel like this will just be like all these series with a beta doormat cuck of an mc acting like hes 8 instead of 18
