Chapter 16: Getting Tired of Doing the Same Thing Every Day
“What shall we do for fun today?”
Hikari entered my room with a smile.
“Hmm, maybe the beach?”
I glanced at the clock; it was pointing to 7. Yes, the usual time.
“Sounds good!”
Hikari nodded enthusiastically.
I got out of bed and headed to the living room with Hikari. It was time for breakfast.
“Good morning, Milady, Yuuri-sama.”
Shinonome-san had already set the table in the living room.
Hikari and I took our seats and began our breakfast.
“I’ve been thinking…”
I paused my eating and turned to Hikari sitting next to me.
“Yes?”
Hikari also stopped and turned towards me, halting Shinonome-san who was bringing more rice to her.
“Is it okay if I go home now?”
“Is there something inconvenient here?”
Hikari looked anxious.
“No, not at all.”
These last five days had been truly enjoyable.
But… five days is a long time! And playing at the beach every day?
It gets boring! We’ve explored this villa inside out!
Frankly, there’s nothing left to do.
Plus, I have homework to do, and I miss my smartphone.
Speaking of which, the festival is coming up in a week.
Probably, Airi would get mad if I miss it.
“I was just thinking, maybe it’s time to see my family…”
Saying I’m bored would be rude. Can’t say that.
“You can’t.”
Eh, for real? I didn’t expect to be refused, and so firmly at that.
“Then, can I at least go home once and come back to play here again?”
“No.”
What, seriously? Even that’s denied.
I can’t go home?
“…Please stay a little longer.”
“Eh?”
Hikari looked somewhat panicked, for reasons unknown to me.
But this was the first time I saw Hikari without a smile.
“Alright. Let’s play then.”
I decided to stay a little longer.

“Where is he!?”
Three days had passed since I learned that Yu-kun was taken away by Hikari.
But still, there was no trace of Yu-kun.
I went to Hikari’s house, but no one answered the intercom.
Probably not there.
Where then? I have no idea.
It’s impractical to check everywhere. He could even be outside Japan.
Finding him during the summer vacation seems impossible.
“That betch…!”
She stole my Yu-kun!
Return him to me!
Rage was swirling inside me.
What should I do…
What if I never see him again?
And even if I do, what if Yu-kun belongs to Hikari now?
Anxiety began to seep from the depths of my heart.
With anger and anxiety coexisting, I was lost.
~~♪
My smartphone rang.
Who could it be?
“Eh…!?”
I quickly answered the phone after checking the name.
