I Tried Pulling When Pushing My Childhood Friend Didn’t Work, and It Totally Broke Me Inside - Chapter 7
Day two of my life in captivity. I wake up again with the cold feeling of the handcuffs on my wrist and Yuna’s soft body next to me.
Yesterday, Yuna and my mom forced me to sign the marriage form. Well, I’ve already given up on that part…
But she still won’t let me leave this room.
It’s starting to get really hard.
The curtains are always closed. The room is completely shut off from the outside world.
“Mm… ah, good morning, Daisuke…”
Yuna slowly opens her eyes.
I think this every time, but if I weren’t being held here, this would be the perfect life.
“Good morning. Are you still not going to let me go outside today?”
“Of course not.”
Yes, same as always.
She just woke up, but she answers that part very fast.
After we finish breakfast, I become Yuna’s body pillow again.
Just like always.
The scary part is I’m starting to get used to this.
“Oh, right.”
Yuna suddenly says, like she just remembered something.
“I forgot to ask. Why were you cold to me?”
“Huh?”
“The day before yesterday. You were avoiding me.”
“Ah~, that…”
I guess I can tell her.
Honestly, I want her mom to share some blame, too. She’s part of the reason this happened.
“You know I confessed to you the day before that, right?”
“Yeah.”
“On my way home after that, I ran into your mom. She gave me some advice.”
“Advice?”
“She told me to keep my distance from you. She said if I pulled away, you would realize how important I am.”
“And you just believed that? That’s why you acted like that?”
“Yeah, pretty much.”
“Hmm, I see.”
Her eyes grow a little sharper.
“Y-You’re not mad, are you?”
“No, not at all. But Mom will have to be punished.”
She’s totally mad…
But I honestly completely agree.
“I’m going to visit mother-in-law now.”
“Ah, I’ll come too.”
“No.”
“But…”
“You want to go outside? You promised you would stay here with me.”
“I never promised that…”
“You did? You did, right? You definitely did, don’t lie to me.”
No, you’re the one lying…
But when the light disappears from Yuna’s eyes like that, there’s no stopping her.
“I-I did, maybe…”
Of course, I can’t go against her.
“That’s right. Then wait for me.”
Yuna leaves the house. Of course, she chains me to the bed again before going.
Maybe I’ll never be able to go outside again.
At the very least, I wish she would let me move freely inside the house.
