Chapter 35 – Bride

Class ended, and I checked my phone again.

【By the way, I forgot to ask yesterday, but what was that about another woman’s scent?】

Then, as obvious as it should be, it wasn’t a dream or anything—there was that message from Mana.

…What should I do?

Even after class ended, I couldn’t think of a single good excuse.

“Yuuto-kun, what’s wrong? Are you okay?”

While I was thinking that, Yui asked worriedly.

…Was I making that worried of a face? Me?

I’m not really that troubled about it though.

Honestly, despite thinking about it, I’ve got plenty of leeway.

“I’m fine.”

While wondering that internally, I said that.

“Really?”

“Yeah. …Was I making a weird face?”

“No. I just felt like your atmosphere was different, so I asked, but if it’s nothing, then I must’ve been mistaken. …Sorry.”

“It’s totally fine, and I’m happy you were worried about me. Thanks, Yui.”

“Y-yeah.”

After hearing my words, Yui nodded while blushing.

…That’s nice and all, but the problem still isn’t solved.

Even though I have leeway, that’s only because I still have time, and naturally as time passes that leeway will disappear.

【I’ve been thinking about it since yesterday, but I really don’t know what you mean】

While thinking that, I sent that message back to Mana.

I thought maybe playing dumb would work out somehow.

Then, unusually… though maybe it’s weird to say that, there was no immediate reply.

I think she’s probably sleeping.

She said she was sleep-deprived.

And so, after that, some time passed and it became lunch time.

Still no reply from Mana.

When you’re sleep-deprived, you sleep like crazy, so I totally get it.

“Yui, let’s eat together.”

After getting my lunch from the cafeteria, I called out to Yui like that.

She nodded immediately, so I pushed my desk together with Yui’s.

“Y-Yuuto-kun, w-want a bite?”

As we were eating lunch together, she suddenly asked that.

“Is that okay?”

“Y-yeah. Because you said you wanted to try it before.”

Did I say that…? Well, I guess I said something like that.

“Then I’ll take you up on that.”

Thinking that, I said that while turning toward Yui and opening my mouth.

“Huh?”

“Hm? You’re going to feed me, right?”

“I-is that okay? I mean! I-I’ll feed you! I’ll feed you!”

When I asked innocently, Yui nodded frantically.

“H-here, say ah.”

And then, while saying that, Yui stretched out her arm toward me, offering the rolled omelet.

“…Mm, delicious. You’re good at cooking, Yui.”

“R-really?”

“Yeah. Really.”

“D-do you want me as your bride?”

Her face turning as red as could be, Yui asked that.

Ah, that’s it. That’s what I said before.

“Yeah. If I could eat this delicious cooking every day, of course I would.”

“Ehehe…”

Yui looked happy.

I found out that Yui’s good at cooking, but I wonder about Mana.

Maybe I’ll have her cook for me next time school’s off.

On a day when I don’t have a date with Yui, of course.

Chapter 36 – It’s Mana’s Scent Now, Right?

After finishing lunch with Yui, on my way to the cafeteria to return the dishes, my phone in my pocket vibrated.

…Did Mana wake up and reply?

Honestly, I want to check right now, but I’m holding dishes so I can’t take out my phone.

…I could technically check if I put the dishes on the ground, but I’ll reach the cafeteria in just a bit anyway.

“Today was delicious too.”

While thinking about that, I arrived at the cafeteria and said that as I returned the dishes to the ladies.

In my image, these would normally be older women, but apparently this is normal in this world.

They’re all pretty young ladies, but to the men in this world, they’re not eye candy.

Of course they are to me though, right? Every day is incredible eye candy for me.

Mana and Yui… and recently Yuna too, they’re all exceptionally beautiful girls, but beautiful women are different from beautiful girls in a way that’s refreshing to look at.

…Yeah. But I’m probably the only one. The only one in this world who sees these ladies as eye candy.

In fact, I’ve never seen any of the guys who use this place talk to the ladies, and when I first said this, the lady was super surprised.

“O-oh, thank you as always.”

I feel like that’s more our line… or rather, the line of us who use this place, but that’s just how this world is.

I smiled at that person and left.

When I left the cafeteria, I felt like it got noisy inside with the ladies’ voices, but it’s probably not my imagination.

…There were still other guys there besides me, so I hope I don’t get complained at.

Thinking that, I went out into the hallway and took out my phone.

To check the notification that came earlier.

…I wonder if it’s okay to be so openly taking out my phone in the hallway like this, but it’s too late for that now, so I won’t worry about it.

【If you really didn’t know, that scent wouldn’t be on you】

…Was Yui’s scent really on me that much?

Even if it was, I think it smells nice normally.

…Is it because she’s a yandere after all?

【Even if someone’s scent was on me, right now I’m full of your scent, aren’t I, Mana?】

While thinking that, I sent that reply.

After all, the one I did that with yesterday was Mana, and I don’t really know, but if any scent is on me now, it’s definitely Mana’s.

【…Yeah. You’re right about that】

After a bit of time, a reply from Mana came back.

Thinking she’s a bit easy while not saying anything unnecessary, I sent back some appropriate reply and headed back to the classroom.
