Chapter 31 – Still Middle Schoolers

“…Mana, we should probably get dressed now.”

My mom didn’t come home while we were in the middle of it, but staying like this any longer would be bad news, so I said that.

“Y-yeah.”

Mana looked embarrassed but started moving to put her clothes back on.

…I should get dressed too.

And so, we finished getting dressed.

After what we’d just done, things were understandably awkward between us, so we didn’t talk much.

This was the second time, and this time it was consensual… yeah, even from Mana’s perspective, it was mutually consensual, so I don’t think there’s a problem, but I guess that’s not really the point right now.

“Y-Yuuto, a-anyway, I’m going to head home for today.”

“Yeah. Mom’s going to be back soon anyway, so I get it.”

“I-I’ll see you tomorrow.”

It’s not like I plan to hide my relationship with Mana from my mom forever, but I still want to keep it secret for now.

I’m planning to have that kind of relationship with Yui too, so things would get awkward.

I already understand perfectly well that polygamy is normal in this world, and that’s exactly why I want to have that kind of relationship with Yui too, but still, emotionally speaking…

…Well, if I can’t tell my mom about it emotionally, then I shouldn’t be aiming for a harem in the first place, but that’s impossible. …I’m a guy, so I can’t help it.

“Let’s hug one last time before I go?”

While thinking about all that, I said that.

It’s pretty gross, but it’s way too late for that now.

“Y-yeah. Okay.”

After confirming that Mana nodded, I hugged her.

“Yuuto… I’m so, so happy right now…”

“Me too.”

“Yeah… I love you, Yuuto.”

“I love you too, Mana.”

After that exchange, I suppressed my desire to stay like this forever and let her go.

“…I should really get going now. I need to take the pill and everything.”

Then Mana said that, looking reluctant.

…Yeah. I really do need her to go home for that.

I intend to take proper responsibility in that area someday, but we’re still middle schoolers.

Logically speaking, it’s just not okay. It would be way too hard on any kid that got born.

And so, Mana went home.

Though “went home” just means next door.

While thinking about that, I’d become free and out of habit checked my phone.

【You free right now?】

There was a message that had come in right around when Mana and I were doing it.

Yeah. I definitely wasn’t free at all then.

【Sorry. I’m free now, but did you need something?】

【I just wanted to call you because I wanted to hear your voice, but was that annoying?】

The reply came back immediately.

【Not at all. Want to call now if that’s okay?】

【Is that really okay?】

【Yeah. I want to hear your voice too, Yui. …Though I might not be able to talk for too long】

Mom will probably start making dinner right after she gets home.

【Okay! I want to hear your voice even if it’s just for a bit, Yuuto-kun!】

【Then I’ll call you】

【Okay!】

And so, I started a call with Yui.

Chapter 32 – Me Too…

The day I had my first time with Mana, my mom never found out what I’d done with Mana, and I got through the day normally.

My phone call with Yui afterward was fun and went smoothly too.

【Yuuto, I’m staying home from school today, so you’ll be alone, but be careful going to school】

Then, just as I was about to leave the house and head to school, a message from Mana arrived with perfect timing, as if she knew exactly when I’d be leaving.

Staying home? Is she not feeling well? …Could it be related to what happened yesterday?

【Why are you staying home? Is it my fault?】

Thinking about that, and feeling anxious since this was my first time including my past life, I asked her that.

If it’s my fault, I want to stay home from school too and take care of her.

【…Do I have to say?】

【If it’s my fault, I’d like you to tell me. I want to make sure I don’t do it again next time】

I sent that message to Mana, who seemed hesitant, maybe trying to be considerate of me.

【………I was too happy, so I couldn’t sleep last night】

Then, when normally she’d reply immediately, after taking plenty of time, that message came back.

…Does that even happen? Normally. …She’s way too cute.

【It’s not your fault, it’s thanks to you, Yuuto, so don’t worry about it and go to school. …Just make sure you’re on guard. You’re way too defenseless, Yuuto】

【I don’t really get it, but okay. Rest up】

I have no intention of stopping my act of playing oblivious, so I replied like that.

And relieved that Mana wasn’t staying home for a negative reason, I headed to school.

“Ah, Yuna-chan.”

So, as I headed to school alone for the first time in a while(?), I spotted the delinquent girl(?) Yuna walking, so I said that.

Is Yuna’s house around here? I’m with Mana all the time, so maybe I just wasn’t paying attention, but this is the first time I’ve seen her here. …Probably.

“Yuna-chan! Good morning!”

While thinking that to myself, I approached Yuna with a smile and called out to her.

“Whoa!? Ah, Y-Yuuto… w-what do you want?”

“I don’t need anything in particular, but I happened to see you so I called out. Was that bad?”

“I-it’s not bad, I guess… wait, no! It’s not bad at all!”

Her face turning red, Yuna said that.

“Then want to walk to school together?”

“Y-yeah…”

Really, other than her looks, she’s not much of a delinquent girl at all.

…Well, she does have her ears pierced, which is pretty delinquent-ish though.

That’s not allowed, right? At normal schools.

I don’t know about the school I go to, but probably not.
