The King sat on his throne and raised his voice.

I, Alicia, and Dust raised our heads and looked at the king.

Esther and Claire were standing beside the King with the other dignitaries.

“Gett, the subjugation of the great Bandits’ Chief Gills, and the accomplishments of developing your own village, and even more…”

The King carefully read out the details of how I helped exterminate monsters in the villages and towns I visited and helped Estelle level up.

All the while, I could hear Dust muttering “Damnit!”

“Next up is the Hero Dust.”

Dust looked at me with a smug expression.

“You haven’t done anything special, particularly. I’ve heard you were even driven out of your own village. Reflect on your actions and strive to accumulate good deeds that will be appreciated by all.”

Dust’s face distorted with anger.

“I’ve been active!”

The King seems intent on debunking Dust’s statements.

The dignitaries also looked at the hero Dust with stern eyes.

They probably received negative reports from the scouts.

The King is giving Dust a stern response suitable for scum.

Then, the guards who protect the King came forward as if to protect him from Dust.

“Damnit, I said I’ll do it!!! Kugutsu is just a mid-game small fry! I’ll take him down alone! Let’s get ready for the fight!”

“Dust, I won’t allow any fights. Behave yourself.”

“I said I’ll do it!!!!!” (T/N: Dem, he’s like an idiot crybaby…)

Dust angrily left the throne room.

“…Let’s continue with the discussion.”

The King ignored Dust and continued talking.

“What do you think, Gett?”

“If we can use the floodgate, we can breach the river and attack during the chaos.”

“How will you attack?”

“If there’s a secret passage, I’d like to launch a surprise attack from there.”

By the way, this is an event that appeared in the game’s story.

“Excellent. With the breach of the floodgate, we can deal a blow to the castle. And knowing about the hidden passages, you’ve indeed undergone Zes’ rigorous training for over ten years. Umu, breaching the floodgate and launching a surprise attack from the hidden passages, this might just work.”

Claire moved immediately upon hearing the King’s words,

I participated in the meeting.

The next day, an army was formed to take back the castle taken by Kugutsu, and I was to join in on the attack.

I marched towards Kugutsu’s location with the army for the battle.

“You’re truly amazing.”

“What do you mean?”

“Your comments at the meeting and your ideas on how to attack were both wonderful.”

“I just stated what I learned from Old Man Zes.”

I knew the strategy from my knowledge of the game, and I had learned a lot from Old Man Zes.

When there was free time, he taught me many things, things like “You need three times as many troops to attack a castle” and “It’s important to exploit your opponent’s weaknesses.”’ He also taught me combat.

Thanks to my game knowledge and what I learned from Old Man Zes about history and military tactics, speaking at the meeting was easy.

“I didn’t really understand what Gett was saying, nyaa~ I’m not good with complicated things, nyaa~”

“It was all thanks to Old Man Zes.”

While I’m praised and we head towards the battle against Kugutsu, I would only come to know after arriving at the castle that the Hero Dust would actually be holding us back.
