- Chapter 0 - Prologue: A World After the Bad Ending
Ah ―this is the worst, I thought.
The world I was reincarnated into was already a bad-ending version of an erotic video game.
(Damn it… even if I’m reincarnating, why does it have to be this depressing route…)
Ahead of me stood a fragile-looking girl —Ena Refine, frozen in a daze with her eyes empty.
Her desk… was covered with cruel graffiti, and on top of it sat a vase of chrysanthemums.
Ena’s thin lips trembled.
“Ugh… wh-why. W-why would someone do this…?”
Her voice was faint, almost fading.
Ena was the main heroine of the erotic video game I’d played in my previous life —“The Pledge Magia Academy.”
With silver-blue hair and a delicate, fragile look, she was a charming girl. Her gentle personality had made her popular, and she had been the protagonist’s childhood friend.
(And… in this bad ending, Ena is…)
In the main story, Ena was a little shy but surrounded by friends and was loved by almost everyone in the video game.
But in this bad ending, a certain incident causes her to be called a “witch,” looked down on, and bullied mercilessly.
The scene in front of me was exactly the moment when that bad ending was sealed.
“Ah… the… the vase… I have to… clean it up…”
Ena wiped her tears with her uniform sleeve and tried to pick up the vase to take it out of the classroom.
But, just as she passed by, a boy stretched out his leg.
Crash, the vase shattered.
Ena fell, letting out a small scream.
“U-ugh… it’s… hurts…”
From the class came the cruel, chuckling laughter of her classmates.
…Just breathing this air made my stomach turn; it was an awful scene.
The boy who tripped her —Irwin Selbus, grabbed Ena’s side-tied hair roughly.
“Haha. That’s harsh, Ena. We even got you a present, and you just had to break it.”
“N-no… I-I’m s-sorry…,”
“Huh? Your voice is too quiet —You worthless witch.”
“Ah… it hurts. Stop… pulling my hair…”
Irwin’s face twisted into a cruel smile.
The other students around him laughed tastelessly and joined in.
(…Haa. The one who’s the real scum here is you—)
Faced with that hopelessly terrible atmosphere, I couldn’t just stand there.
“N-no… s-someone… anyone… please… help me…”
Hearing Ena’s desperate cry for help, I found myself walking straight toward Irwin’s desk.
And then—,
“Huh? What’s the matter―”
I swung my fist.
With everything I had, I brought it down hard onto Irwin’s right cheek.
“—Ugh, haah!?”
Crash!! Bang, clatter!!
Irwin’s body flew backward, taking desks and chairs with him, and hit the floor hard with his head.
The entire classroom fell silent.
A moment later, I realized what I had done without thinking, I had punched Irwin. Not that I regretted it in the slightest.
I glanced down and saw Ena’s face, her fear mixed with shock.
“…S-Shiruto, kun…?”
Ena’s beautiful blue eyes were glistening, and she looked up at me while staring carefully.
Shiruto Lugia. She remembered the name of a random mob like me. Ena really is something. I tried to recall Shiruto’s memories left in my body, but we had only spoken a handful of times before.
Well. That aside.
I forced a gentle smile and held out my hand to her.
“Let’s go, Ena-san. We need to treat that scrape on your knee right away.”
“Eh… b-but…”
Her eyes flickered with uncertainty.
But soon…,
“U… um, yeah… I understand…”
She timidly reached out and took my fingers.
At that moment, I thought I heard Irwin whining miserably behind us, but I didn’t care.
Supporting Ena’s trembling body as she got to her feet, I took her small hand and led her out of the classroom.

preferred shooting on that mfcker but that checks out
I would’ve preferred a kick, but a punch works too; I guess…
My, my. This started off with a bang! 😁
Also pretty refreshing for there to be main heroine suffering the bad ending, rather than the villainess. That was getting a little bland.
Les go! What a good way to start
