Her expression looked dumbfounded as I disarmed her greatsword from her grasp.

It’s proof that she needs more experience. A veteran would not let go of her greatsword no matter the circumstances.

Also, her being dumbfounded afterward solidifies it.

Seeing her like that, I gave her a roundhouse kick, blowing her away.

I would pursue and capture her if I were your average hero.

But before I do that, I want her to submit — thoroughly.

I instantly closed the distance between her and me at the speed of sound.

The roundhouse kick must have been very effective since she showed no resistance, and my hands were free from doing what they wanted.

It isn’t a problem for me, one who uses that same mysterious energy, and it was less force than that of the greatsword-wielding girl. There’s also less chance that it would damage me.

However, the location could have been better.

We are here downtown.

There are many buildings in the direction the mysterious girl fired the attack.

If it hits a building or a civilian, it will spell consequences I don’t want to imagine.

Tch. I clicked my tongue. As a hero, I must lessen the damage to the city as much as possible.

 I moved at the speed of sound toward the mysterious bullets and caught them to neutralize them.

However, it was a bait they prepared, and I suffered considerable losses in exchange.

As I looked back towards the location where the mysterious girl and the greatsword-wielding girl, they had already escaped.

I replied to the girl’s voice on the radio and headed back toward the headquarters.
