I no longer want to be a part of this triangle! - Chapter 27- College
Fortunately, the talk went smoothly with her Senpai’s dad. Well, it went better than she could have ever prepared for.
Maybe it was thanks to the fact that he came here suddenly rather than Kohana urging her Senpai to bring her to meet him that she was able to just go with the flow and allow herself to express herself confidently.
After her talk with him, the atmosphere between the duo was quite comfortable.
Although her Senpai was still reluctant to talk with a straight face with his father, and he had all the reasons not to, their conversation was quite wholesome.
After lunch, Akihito received a call, which urged him to say, “Okay, I will be leaving now.”
Kohana and Kazuki walked to the entrance to say their goodbye.
Just as Akihito was about to step out, he informed Kazuki, “I am going on a business trip to Shanghai.”
Kazuki raised his brows, his expression saying ‘So….?’
Akihito chuckled before patting his son’s shoulder and telling him, “Once I return let’s spend some time together. It has been years since we went to your favourite onsen.”
Kazuki was taken aback by those words. His father wasn’t the type who makes fake promises. He only promises if he actually intends to do something.
Kohana smiled hearing that as she tugged her Senpai’s sleeve, urging him to respond.
Kazuki, although still a little hesitant, said, “A..lright then, see you soon?”
Akihito smiled at the little girl and thanked her with his eyes before leaving on a happy note.
This might be the first time in years that Akihito was leaving this house with a smile on his face.
Once Kazuki closed the door, he looked at his girlfriend before asking, “How, an introverted girl, suddenly got so many words to speak in front of a stranger?” He was curious.
Kohana giggled, “I have a bunch of hidden sides, Senpai.”
Kazuki arched his left brow, before teasing her, “Like the one you showed last night?”
“⁄•⁄-⁄•⁄” Her face slowly turned red as she froze up at her spot and leaned her face down in embarrassment.
Seeing that reaction, Kazuki chuckled and pulled her in a bear hug, “How adorable you can be, Kohana-chan~I feel like biting you sometimes.”
“P-Please be gentle…” Hearing her slow murmuring only made him more amused.
Soon, the duo returned to the couch to have another round of tea; this time, Kohana was the one making it.
Kazuki looked at the clock and found it was already six. He glanced at Kohana, who was brewing the tea with a happy smile and shrugged. Not like it’s necessary to start studying today.
“Kohana-chan, do you want to go somewhere after exams? For there would be a four-week gap before the next session begins.”
Kohana was about to respond when suddenly her phone rang,
Kohana didn’t think twice before taking the call.
A frown appeared on her face as she said a few words before disconnecting the call.
Turning off the boiling pot, she turned towards her Senpai, and while walking out of the kitchen, she said, “Senpai, I need to go. Emi’s forgot her wallet.”
“Oh, is she in trouble?”
Kohana chuckled, “From her voice, it seems she hasn’t been told to leave the cafe yet, but I better hurry.”
Kazuki was also about to come with Kohana but she halted and told him, “Senpai, I will return home after that since it’s in the way, so goodbye for today?”
‘Tch’ Kazuki clicked his tongue, upon realizing that she still remembered that talk they had while returning home.
Heaving a sigh he said, “Okay, good night. But call me if there is some kind of trouble, okay?”
Kohana nodded and tiptoed to kiss his cheek softly.
“Study well.”
Once Kohana left, Kazuki returned inside the house plopped down on the couch, and looked around.
He has become so accustomed to living with her that without her presence, his usual house seemed quite big.
Not more than one and a half months have gone by since they met; however, in this short duration, they have made numerous memories. Places they went, jokes they shared, some intimate moments they lived…everything seemed just so beautiful that Kazuki could think about them the whole day without getting tired.
To be honest, he never thought that there could be such a good outcome of getting slapped in front of others. That day, when everything was going against Kazuki, Kohana was that candle that showed him the path in the dark ocean and helped him reach a destination
His destination, his Kohana.
Walking towards his room, Kazuki took out his laptop and searched for the college Kohana was talking about
‘Haah, fortunately.’ Kazuki has received an invitation from that college as well, through sports recommendations. And if Kohana doesn’t change her plans, which most likely she won’t, then they could spend their college life together as well.
‘But wait, will I seem like a stalker who wants to cling to his girlfriend? Meh, who cares.’ Kazuki wanted to be with Kohana as much as he could. And even these fifteen days, he knew they wouldn’t be able to stay away for more than three days.
Kohana was looking out for their future and Kazuki didn’t want to deviate her attention from her goal. However, if she herself chooses to come to him, then Kazuki won’t be showing any mercy.
*Ding* *Dong*
‘Hmm? This soon?’ Chuckling to himself, he turned off the laptop and approached the door.
He knew it wasn’t Kohana on the door and since he was expecting the delivery package for the shoes he ordered, he opened the door without using the security camera….
…and in the very next instance, he regretted on his decision.
“We came here to talk.”
On the other side stood two people with whom Kazuki was closely acquainted until last two months ago.
Kohta and Katori, the two major reasons why Kazuki met and fell for Kohana, were currently standing in front of him.
What a bitter way of ending the day.
