I no longer want to be a part of this triangle!

[Kazuki’s POV:]

I was…startled to hear the rejection from Kohana’s Nee-san. And surprisingly her mom and Kohana-chan seemed like they expected this.

Hey….is it that, this girl is actually-

“You, a delinquent and failure as a person, can’t have my Ko-chan, and that’s the final decision.” She said, and before I could recover from the shock, she turned toward Kohana and urged her, “Come on now, Ko-chan, enough of your living alone. Now you will live with your Nee-san.”

She even began to pull her hand, making me frown, as I held her wrist and asked her, “You can’t just take her away and call this relationship invalid. Even if you don’t like me, you don’t have the right to separate us.”

In the first place, I didn’t know why she didn’t like me. Because of my hair? But it’s natural…

Aiko-san widened her eyes, not in shock but aggression before she slapped my hand away and spoke in a slightly agitated voice,

“You are a hooligan who fooled my sister and now use her for your greed!”

“Aiko!”

“Nee-san?!” The other two reacted to that, however, I retained my calm before telling her,

“How do you know I am taking advantage of her and isn’t in love with her? Is it written on my face that I am a scumbag who preys on innocent girls? Or do you judge people based on whatever comes to your mind?”

I never, even once, sounded frustrated but the thought of someone taking away my girlfriend indeed irritated me, so yeah, maybe it reflected in my voice as well.

The room turned silent for a moment before Aiko-san got up from the ground and went towards the couch. She took out her phone and showed me…the same footage which has caused so many problems.

Kohana wanted to say something against it, but I held her hand and shook my head slowly. If she says something here, it would look like I indeed have fooled her to defend me whenever someone accuses me.

“And not only this, after investigation I found that you even played a prank with the same girl back in school for which you got punished.” She spoke before throwing away her phone and crossing her arms on her chest.

“Now tell me, did I prematurely judge you, Mister Scumbag?” From a caring sister’s perspective, she might be true. The incident with Katori has reached her ears, and anyone would get concerned about leaving their sister in the hands of someone who was surrounded by strange rumours.

But was that enough for me to back off and let her take Kohana away?

What a joke.

Releasing Kohana’s hand I got up and faced the girl. Unlike what Kohana told me, she wasn’t the type of girl who says things after contemplation…she just says whatever comes to her mind.

…or maybe she was just too protective of Kohana? I think that’s the case.

Regardless, “You judged me based on those rumours and believed a video which you found on the internet, great. I guess that shows that you aren’t against the idea of Kohana having me as her partner, rather, you are against the very fact that your sister can have a lover.”

Her eyes widened and anger reflected in her eyes, “You….!”

I suddenly raised my phone and played the video which Kohta sent me yesterday.

Aiko frowned and looked at the screen…and slowly her expression sobered up

The whole thing which was captured in the gymnasium, I showed it to her.

Once the video was over, I said, “That girl came to apologize to me that day for the misunderstanding, but since Kohana didn’t like me getting involved with her, I just shrugged her off. And even that brief meeting was within Kohana’s knowledge.”

Aiko slowly turned her attention to her weeping sister and found Kohana nodding, “He is right, Nee-san. Senpai never hid a single thing from me after we started dating. I am aware of his past and present.”

Slowly she rose from the ground and held my hand before telling her, “And you cannot say that Senpai fooled me into this relationship since it was me-”

I instantly grabbed her hand a little firmly, and widened my eyes; telling her not to continue, but Kohana didn’t listen to me,

“—it was me who had been stalking Senpai for a long time and confessed to him when he was heartbroken. So it’s not Senpai who fooled me; it was I who sedu-mmph!” I covered her mouth before she could have continued.

Kohana wanted to speak more but I didn’t allow her. And her mother and sister were so shocked that they didn’t even react when I covered her mouth.

Aiko-san slowly walked back and sat down on the couch. It seems she needed some time to digest everything.

I made my way to the kitchen and poured some water for the three ladies.

After everyone calmed down, Kohana finally stopped crying—it was adorable how her nose turned red—I finally spoke up again.

“Although the road to our relationship was rocky and full of obstacles, it’s a fact that I love Kohana and she loves me. I don’t regret even once dating her and I promise to take care of her.”

Bowing my head, I requested, “So please, give us your blessings and allow me to be with Kohana for the rest of my life.”

“Hey, Kohana-chan…whenever I returned from practice I found orange juice in my locker. Was it you?” Hearing Kazuki’s question, Kohana smiled.

“Yes….I know you like to have orange juice after practice so I usually bought it and sneaked it into your locker.”

Kazuki smiled hearing that….but soon a perplexed frown marred his face as he asked her, “Wait…then were you the one who used to steal my jerse-”

“Ah, the rice seemed to be cooked.”

“Hey, wait! Aren’t we having pasta today? Wait, Kohana-chan?!”
