Chapter 6: Angel’s Welcome Party
The day after that incident… the moment Angel-san came to school, I apologized right away.
Even if it was out of my control, I had touched a girl’s chest. I needed to properly apologize. Especially these days, sexual harassment is taken seriously. I didn’t want to get in trouble with the court at my age.
However, Angel-san’s response was totally unexpected.
“Um… what are you talking about? Yesterday, you and I delivered the logbook to the teacher, then we went straight home. Nothing else happened… right?”
“Huh?”
“That’s right, isn’t it? Right?”
Angel-san answered with a smile. But her smile clearly carried a strong message: “Don’t mention what happened yesterday.”
“Y-yeah, that’s right. We went straight home yesterday. What am I even talking about, hahaha…”
“Exactly. You’re acting weird, Ogami-kun. Fufu.”
Understanding Angel-san’s intention, I decided to treat yesterday’s incident as if it never happened, just like she wanted.
I didn’t understand why she reacted that way, but since I was the one who caused trouble, I had no right to say anything. I just followed her wishes.
I thought it might make things awkward between us, but Angel-san’s behavior didn’t change at all. I was really thankful that she didn’t act any differently even after what happened.

After school on Friday, Angel-san’s welcome party was held thanks to Hina’s planning. The location was a karaoke shop near the station.
The reason for choosing karaoke was because many students were short on money. With the student discount, free time and drink bar were included for 900 yen. A great deal.
Some classmates couldn’t attend due to club activities and such, but still, about half the class said they would come.
“Planning a welcome party so Angel-san can feel at home in the class—typical Unasu-san. She’s a real goddess.”
“Her thoughtfulness is seriously next level.”
“A new friend joined our class. This is only natural, right?”
I could hear classmates praising Hina.
Deep down, Hina probably didn’t feel that great about Angel-san. But on the surface, she acted exactly how someone called “Goddess” should act. It was complicated.
After checking in, we all filed into the large karaoke room and sat wherever we liked. I sat with Kenji at a seat in the corner of the room.
Honestly, I wasn’t good at singing in front of others. But I didn’t dislike events like this. I decided I’d just help liven up the mood today.
“Alright then, let’s start Akua’s welcome party!”
“““Waa waa!”””
Once all participants had entered the room, Hina gave the start signal, and the classmates cheered in response.
“Akua, let’s have a great year together!”
“Hina-chan, thank you for throwing this welcome party for me.”
“Make sure to have lots of fun today!”
“Then… for Angel-san, I, Suzuki Takuto, will sing a welcome song! The song is ‘The Bear from the Forest’!”
Suzuki adjusted his glasses and selected the song on the tablet. Apparently, he had become a fan of Angel-san without me noticing.
Wait a second—“The Bear from the Forest”? That song choice is way off.
Is “The Bear from the Forest” really a song you sing at a welcome party? Even if it’s meant to be funny, there had to be better options.
In karaoke, the rule is to sing songs most people know so everyone can enjoy them. In that sense, the song did fit, but still…
♪ “Some anemia~ ♪ Forest rectum~ ♪ Mr. Bear garlic~ ♪ Bump into each other~” ♪
And it was a parody version.
Despite my doubts, our classmates clapped along to Suzuki’s version of “The Bear from the Forest” and had fun with it.
Our class was basically full of energetic people, so as long as things were fun, they didn’t care much about the details.
“Thank you~ For~!”
Suzuki sang the parody to the end with an unnecessarily beautiful voice. The classmates applauded him when he finished, and even Angel-san clapped with a smile.
As expected from Amatsuka Angel-san. Her reactions were just too angelic.
“Takayasu, I’m going to the drink bar. Want anything?”
“Thanks. Then I’ll take a cola.”
Kenji offered to grab my drink too, so I asked for a cola.
Another classmate selected the next song on the tablet. This time it was the theme from a popular Monday night drama. Lots of people knew it, and the room got excited again.
And just like that, the welcome party continued on.

After all that fun, the welcome party was finally starting to wrap up. Two or three more songs, and the free time would end.
“Takayasu, since we’re here, why don’t you sing too?”
“Nah, I’m good. I’ll just head to the bathroom.”
“Alright. It’s out this room and to the right.”
“Out and to the right, got it.”
After finishing a song, Kenji offered me the mic, but I turned him down and headed to the restroom. I’d had a little too much to drink.

Another Side
Just after Takayasu left for the bathroom, Suzuki Takuto came back, holding a glass full of barley tea.
He was about to return to his seat, but tripped over someone’s foot and stumbled. The glass tipped, and the contents ended up spilling all over Angel Akua, who happened to be right in front of him.
“Kyah!”
“Ahhh! Angel-san, I’m so sorry!”
Akua’s uniform was soaked from the barley tea. Hina, who was sitting next to her, quickly handed her a towel.
“Jeez, Suzuki. What are you doing? Akua, are you okay? Do you have something to wipe off with? Here, take this towel.”
“I-I’m fine. Sorry, I’ll go dry off in another room.”
“Should I go with you?”
“No, it’s okay. I can manage on my own. I’ll borrow the towel.”
“I’m really sorry, Angel-san…”
“Don’t worry about it, Suzuki-kun. It’s just a little water.”
With that, Akua left the room by herself.
〇〇〇
Side: Takayasu
“Phew… that felt good.”
After relieving my nearly bursting bladder, I left the restroom feeling refreshed.
As I was heading back to our room, I noticed the door of the room just before ours was slightly open. It had definitely been closed before I went to the bathroom.
Curious, I glanced through the small window on the door.
Inside was Angel-san. Her back was turned toward the door, and she seemed to be doing something. Her beautiful silver hair made it obvious who she was, even from behind.
Even if the room wasn’t being used, entering it without permission wasn’t a good idea. So I decided to call out to her.
“Angel-san, what are you doing?”
“Eh?”
“Wha!?”
When she turned to face me, I was stunned.
Her blouse was completely unbuttoned in the front, exposing the parts usually hidden by clothes.
Even though I knew I shouldn’t look, my eyes took in her smooth-looking white skin, her cute belly button, and her light blue underwear, one after another.
And then, I saw something inside her bra—something that definitely wasn’t supposed to be there.
If I remembered correctly, they were called “pads.” She had stuffed her bra with them, making her chest look much bigger than it really was.
So that’s what it was. That strange feeling I had when I accidentally touched her chest the other day—it all made sense now. Compared to Hina’s, it felt like a cream puff with no filling.
But now wasn’t the time to be realizing things like that.
She had droplets of water on her skin and a towel in her hand. I figured she must have been drying off after getting wet for some reason.
“Sorry, you were drying yourself off, huh? I’ll leave now.”
I apologized and turned to leave the room.
But just then, Angel-san grabbed my arm with a terrifyingly strong grip.
“You saw, didn’t you?”
I would never forget the look on her face at that moment.
Because instead of her usual gentle angelic expression, she wore a wicked, devilish look—like a demon.
