I Got Reincarnated as the Scummy Dude Who Sends NTR Video Letters to Otaku Guys in Erotic Manga, But When I Tried to Steal His Girlfriend, I Accidentally Hooked Up with Her Twin Sister Instead - Chapter 15
Chapter 15: Side: Otaku Takuya
It’d been three days since I stopped hearing from Nedori-kun.
Up until then we’d been messaging pretty much every single day, so suddenly getting ignored like this hurt a lot.
Did he maybe start hating me or something?
While that worry ate at me, I crawled under the covers and kept thinking about Nedori-kun way too much, so I couldn’t fall asleep at all.
That’s how the first half of Golden Week went.
Tomorrow I’m supposed to meet up with Aoi, so if I show up with dark circles under my eyes she’s gonna get mad.
I really need to sleep soon, but yeah… still can’t sleep tonight either.
Why do I care about Nedori-kun so much and think of him as such an important friend? Simple reason.
He saved me when I was getting bullied.
I’d been bullied ever since first year of high school.
Aoi’s super popular at school, so some of the guys didn’t like that I was her childhood friend. They kept messing with me because of it.
Hiding my indoor shoes, suddenly calling me over when I was talking to Aoi, threatening me in the bathroom.
It’s a prep school, so it never got super extreme, but it still sucked. It was painful.
Just being Aoi’s childhood friend and I get treated like this? Felt so unfair.
But I was too pathetic to fight back, so even after moving up to second year the bullying kept going.
That’s when it happened.
“Uo? What the hell are you guys doing?”
While some dude had me by the collar in the bathroom, a voice suddenly cut in.
I looked up and there was this scary-looking guy with blond hair and a piercing.
But when I really looked, his expression was bright. He was grinning like an idiot as he walked right up to the guys bullying me.
He put his hand on the leader’s shoulder and stared him down from super close.
“Bullying’s not cool, y’know? It’s against school rules. If a teacher catches you, you’re not getting off easy.”
“Hah? Who the fuck are you?”
“Imagine you actually get expelled? You won’t even graduate high school—you’ll be a middle-school dropout. What’re you gonna do with that kinda record? No way you survive like that.”
“…The hell’s your problem?”
“Me? I’m just a hardcore grades freak. Look, you bothered to get into this high school, right? Don’t aim for some private liberal-arts college—go national. Get into Tokyo U.”
The blond guy was saying stuff you’d never expect from how he looked.
Total delinquent vibe, but he’s talking university rankings and academic records.
The gap was so huge the bullies just stood there stunned.
“…Whatever, man. Kinda lost the mood.”
The leader clicked his tongue and walked off. The other two sighed and left the bathroom too.
“………………………”
And then it was just me and the blond guy left.
“What’s your name?”
He put his hand on my shoulder and asked. I answered kinda nervously.
“Otaku Takuya.”
“For real? Otaku-kun!”
When he heard my name, the blond guy—no, Nedori-kun—smiled.
That’s how we became friends. We both loved reading light novels, so we clicked right away.
“Nedori-kun… you okay?”
While I was thinking back to how we met, I muttered that to myself.
In the end I still couldn’t sleep that night because I was so worried.

—The next day.
I had plans to eat cake with Aoi at a café in front of the station.
But my head was completely full of Nedori-kun stuff.
Of course, no reply today either.
Maybe he really just hates me now and that’s fine, but there was another problem.
There wasn’t even a single post on his socials.
Nedori-kun runs this grades-obsessed account where he tweets about academic filters and stuff literally every day.
But it’s been dead silent for three days straight—no updates at all.
That’s way too weird. There’s no way that internet addict Nedori-kun would suddenly go on a digital detox.
Maybe something actually happened to him.
When I thought about it like that, I decided to talk to Aoi.
She looked super pissed off though.
“Takuya you idiot!! Thinking about another girl while we’re on a date is totally not okay!!”
“Nedori-kun’s a guy, though?”
“That’s not what I mean!! Today is a date! A DATE, okay?!”
Does Aoi really want cake that bad?
I’m not big on sweets so coffee’s enough for me. But if I don’t order cake she gets mad like “Now I look like the only glutton here!” Even though it’d be fine if she just ate alone.
I mean, I go to ramen shops by myself all the time. That actually takes more guts, y’know?
Anyway, we ended up doing the plan: ate cake at the café with Aoi.
Honestly we had so much fun I forgot about time, but deep down I still had this tiny uneasy feeling.
—Nedori-kun… you okay?
Then right when we were saying goodbye, something super weird happened.
“Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii… We got nothing left to talk about anymore.”
“Please just let us go alreadyyyy…”
We were passing by the park when we ran into three yankee guys.
The second they saw Aoi, their faces twisted in obvious terror. They dropped to their knees and started begging.
“Please forgive usssss!!”
“Huh? What? What’s going on?”
Aoi’s eyes went wide—she looked totally confused—but the yankees were shaking so hard they couldn’t stop.
Wait… does Aoi have yankees working under her or something?
When I asked her that, she kicked my shin really hard.
Yeah, figured. Aoi’s scary.
“Takuya? What’s with that look?”
But she could totally read my face. She glared right up close.
The yankees were staring at us with these dead-fish eyes.
What the heck actually happened?
Between Aoi and Nedori-kun, the world’s full of mysterious stuff.
I have no idea where Nedori-kun even is, but I just hope he’s safe.
That’s what I really, really wished for.

“Uweeei, Otaku-kun you watching〜? Day three of being locked up was seriously brutal, man. They put laundry clips all over my body and tortured me with ’em. I actually thought about calling the cops for real. ’Cause, like, buck naked with laundry clips? Never heard of that one. But apparently Yui’s getting ideas from some book. So tomorrow’s goal is finding that book. Gotta be 18+ for sure.”
