I Got Reincarnated as a Villainous Noble, and When I Tried to Create an All-Male Academy to Avoid a Bad Ending, for Some Reason the Gender Ratio Reversed? - Chapter 31
Chapter 31: Everyday Life After the Confinement
—The next day.
Looks like Fran finally got satisfied, ’cause I got released.
No clue what the exact reason was, but apparently she had stuff to do now to save the world or something.
Shouldn’t she just become the hero already? Or maybe prime minister. Or… queen?
Personality-wise, she’d definitely crush it.
At least way more than me, who’s been wandering around the academy doing basically nothing lately.
Anyway, point is, the confinement life finally ended.
That said, I wasn’t exactly back to 100%. Last night she basically squeezed every last drop of my dignity out, so I had zero energy left.
So I showed up to school looking like a pickled plum—total dead-fish face.
“Orufusen-sama?”
“Orufusen-sama’s here! Wait, huh?”
“Ah, my god… my… god?”
From the outside I probably looked like a lifeless zombie. Every step down the hallway got me these confused stares.
Not just students—teachers were struggling to hide how weirded out they were too.
Please, just don’t ask why. I really don’t wanna say “my fiancée locked me up and wrecked my dignity.”
While I was praying for that,
“Hey, your face looks awful?”
The second I stepped into the classroom, Lucina hit me with that. She leaned in super close, frowning as she studied my face.
“Is it that bad?”
“Pretty bad. You look like a dried fish.”
“…Dried fish, huh.”
“Zombie works too.”
“…Stop.”
There’s gotta be a nicer way to say it, right?
But nah, she’s got zero filter. Zero mercy.
She’s the type of heroine who just blurts out whatever she’s thinking and accidentally digs her own grave.
“…Suspicious. What really happened?”
“………………”
She gave me this deadpan stare, but I couldn’t say anything. No way I could.
Then from behind her, the actual culprit who turned me into a zombie popped up.
“I don’t remember giving you permission to get close to Ol-sama.”
It was Fran.
Same smile as always, but her skin looked weirdly glowy and smooth.
Like… hydrated? Or maybe “squeezed-out” effect? Either way, she was in a great mood.
“Fran, you look super energetic.”
“Yes. Very healthy. I absorbed a ton of nutrients.”
“Did you go to a hot spring or something?”
“No.”
Lucina kept glancing back and forth between me and Fran, looking super suspicious.
“So what happened then?”
“Who knows?”
Fran just floated that calm, confident smile.
“If I had to say… it was a pretty intense night.”
“An intense night?!”
Don’t plant extra weird ideas in people’s heads!
Now Lucina’s face was beet red ’cause she was totally misunderstanding.
But Fran just kept smiling and didn’t add anything else.
Which obviously let Lucina’s imagination run even wilder—
“You womanizer!”
“It’s a misunderstanding.”
“What misunderstanding? Zombie! You zombie marquis!”
After spitting that out, she stomped back to her seat looking pissed.
Fran, meanwhile, just kept smiling like she was having the time of her life.
“………………Why.”
Now I just look like some massive player. This is straight-up slander.
※
Basically nobody at this academy is normal.
So just walking down the hallway means I either get bothered by cult people who worship me as a god, or I run into dangerous weirdos claiming to be saintesses.
“Ol-san, Ol-san, wanna play telephone with rusks?”
—After school.
A super cheerful voice came from behind me.
Only one person has this endless energy and says completely incomprehensible stuff. Alenaria.
She came bounding over like a puppy, but I immediately looked away and,
“…Well, excuse me.”
I turned on my heel.
“Ah, wait up!”
But I could feel her chasing me.
She darted around to block my path, struck a smug pose, and went,
“How about the loser has to strip?”
Still zero coherent conversation.
Telephone with rusks was already weird enough, but now we’re heading straight into exhibitionism? Makes no sense.
No wonder she has no friends.
But ignoring her forever wasn’t gonna work either, so,
“Why strip?”
I at least asked.
She turned bright red, fidgeted like crazy, and went,
“Why…? C’mon, don’t make a young maiden say it out loud!”
“Then don’t suggest stuff you can’t even explain!”
“But but, I heard it’s getting super popular among nobles lately! There’s this game where if you mess up at telephone, you take off clothes!”
“…Perverted nobles.”
Powerful people have always been into freaky games. So yeah, what she said was probably true.
Still… loser strips? What is this, strip rock-paper-scissors?
Okay, technically strip rock-paper-scissors isn’t even supposed to be that, but thanks to perverts everywhere it got that image stuck to it forever.
Either way, no way a marquis family member is playing that.
“Pass.”
“C’mon, please!”
“First off, a ‘young maiden’ doesn’t play telephone with rusks. And she definitely doesn’t use food as a toy. Don’t waste food!”
“Aww…”
When I shut her down hard, Alenaria visibly deflated.
“I thought if it was Ol-san—the one everyone’s calling a womanizer lately—just flashing a little chest would make you fall instantly…”
“…………Huh?”
Something she said kinda caught my attention, but talking to her any longer was just gonna tire me out, so I decided to full-on escape.
“Ah, wait!”
I turned the corner, went down the stairs, and just kept my eyes forward.
A few times I heard Alenaria’s voice behind me, but it was all nonsense so I ignored everything and cut through the connecting corridor.
Eventually the footsteps faded.
All I could hear was her panting.
“Haa… haa…”
Her stamina was still trash as ever. She’d totally run out of gas.
A saintess with zero endurance felt kinda wrong, but hey, it let me get away clean.
“…Phew.”
I took a breather, but since I didn’t really have anything to do, I just wandered around the academy.
I figured I’d head outside for a change of pace and started toward the courtyard when,
“…Hm?”
Out of the corner of my eye, I caught a male student.
—A guy.
Just that was enough to make me notice.
Because he was the other guy who enrolled this year.
Name’s Maris. Blonde hair. About my height. Slim build, doesn’t look like he has much muscle.
Half his face was hidden behind his hair.
That’s all I knew. Anything beyond appearance? Zero info.
I had Rose look into him once, but she came back with nothing.
Background, status—complete mystery. From his clothes and vibe you could guess he’s some kind of noble, but even his rank was unknown.
Super mysterious student.
Obviously he doesn’t exist in the original story, so probably popped up because the gender ratio flipped.
Total red flags, but when I asked Fran about him once she said it was fine, so I hadn’t really worried about it till now.
I’d been too busy dealing with constant chastity threats anyway.
But actually running into him made all the buried doubts come rushing back.
Who the hell is this guy? I couldn’t stop wondering.
—Maybe I should look into him a bit.
So I decided to tail him from a distance.
But right at the next corner, I stopped dead.
—Worst case.
The reason I couldn’t keep going was simple.
Because standing there around the corner was none other than the crown prince.
—Crown Prince Jibilgard.
The guy directly tied to my doom ending. The one who got me executed in the original story.
I wanted to avoid contact with him at all costs. So I instantly tried to turn around, but,
“……………………Hm?”
Something felt off.
The crown prince started talking to the guy, but the distance between them was way too close for two dudes.
Hand on the shoulder, casually touching his arm, occasionally whispering right in his ear.
The other guy looked openly uncomfortable.
—Wait, is the crown prince into guys?
The thought flashed for a second, but nah—he’s got a fiancée. And he’s supposed to be head-over-heels for that duke’s daughter.
I already checked and she’s not at this academy, but still…
No way he’s into men.
Yet that closeness felt super wrong. There had to be something shady going on.
“……………………”
Whatever. I wasn’t planning to get involved with the crown prince anyway. If possible, I’d like to keep it that way forever.
So I killed my presence and slipped away from there.
