Chapter 61: A Weapon Unlike Before

“Armor!!”

I immediately summoned the front armor of a tank. As if he wasn’t even the least fazed, Harry summoned a black ice pillar and hurled it at the armor. 

CLANG!!

The ice pillar pierced the armor, creating a tremendous sound. Compared to our duel before, the piercing power was incomparable, so much so that its power left my mouth agape. 

While the ice pillar didn’t fully penetrate the armor, but it was clear to see the current ice pillar was several times stronger than before. However, Harry looked terribly dissatisfied that he couldn’t finish me off with that attack. He summoned an even larger black ice pillar and then… 

“Harry-san! Please stop!”

By the time I realized it, Selene-sama had already readied her bow of light, aiming it at Harry.

Screaming like a madman, Harry hurled a large ice pillar at Selene-sama with all his might. I immediately summoned the armor of a tank again to block it. 

“You… You commoners!! Behold!! TASTE MY STRENGTH!! ARGHHHHHH!!”

The ice pillar Harry threw pierced through the armor. 

“Impossible!!”

At this rate, Selene-sama would be in danger. However, I wouldn’t be able to make it in time to help her. 

Despair was about to overwhelm me when suddenly, a defensive barrier appeared and enveloped Selene-sama in its protective case.

The two of them managed to repel the ice pillar but then, they collapsed from exerting too much magic. 

“Jeff-sama! Mia-sama!”

I called out to their names and there, Elena-sama drew her sword out and immediately charged toward Harry. She looked furious. 

“You are a disgrace to the Halkeginia Kingdom!! Atone for your sins with your death!!”

“Elena, you are beautiful but… If you don’t belong to me, then you’re worthless!!”

“Stop sprouting such nonsense!!”

Elena-sama’s swordsmanship was truly breathtaking. During our practice session, she often showed careless openings and made some weird noises, but right now… her swordplay was absolutely flawless. 

At the same time, countless arrows rained down at Harry. Yes, the arrows of light fired by Selene-sama. It was a 2 versus 1 showdown. 

It looked like we had the upper hand. Harry couldn’t afford to launch any strong attack. He could only dodge Elena-sama and Selene-sama’s attack. If he managed to narrowly avoid Elena-sama’s sword, Elena-sama’s arrows of light would pierce through his skin. 

Seeing the three of them in combat and Jeff-sama and Mia-sama panting heavily on the floor, I felt an inexplicable surge of emotion. However, my body refused to move.

“Harry-san! Please cease this pointless struggle!!”

Elena-sama nad Selene-sama yelled while continuing to attack Harry. Against their relentless assault, Harry, who had been solely focused on defending and avoiding, sneered at them. 

“Playtime is over.”

“-!! Argh!!”

Harry kicked Elena-sama upward, launching her into the air. Elena-sama screamed and she ended up colliding with Selene-sama. 

“Kyaaa-!”

“Elena-sama! Selene-sama!”

Seeing the two of them falling to the ground, I had a grave expression on my face.

“Rina…”

“Why aren’t you doing anything?!”

“That’s….”

Rina’s questioning gaze met mine. 

However, I couldn’t answer her question. The words the young boy had spoken to Harry kept echoing in my ears. 

Maybe the justice that the young boy and Genesis practiced was more righteous than the justice I believed in. Why did I even bother trying to make a difference in this kingdom? I glanced around. Jeff-sama and Mia-sama were still incapatitated.They were breathing heavily, lying down on the ground. As for Elena-sama and Selene-sama, they were still groaning in pain.

That’s right.

I have my friends with me. 

Jeff-sama, who was always so lively and eager to dance with me. A man who took good care of me even though he was a noble. However, deep within his heart, there laid a darkness that he carried. Even though he was the eldest son of a duke, he was shunned by high society. 

Mia-sama, she was somewhat mysterious but she always took care of Rina. Her existence brought great comfort to me and Rina. However, just like Jeff-sama, she was carrying the same darkness in her heart too. 

Elena-sama, known as the War Princess. She had participated in wars and monster extermination for a good chunk of her life and yet, she was still being distrusted by other noble and the royal families. She had to face prejudice from the nobles. (Although things had been improving lately for her.)

Selene-sama. She looked like she had everything at first glance (beauty, power, men). However, she had to endure many painful experiences, like being in danger of assassination constantly and being forced to get engaged to a disgusting man by her father. 

In other words, everyone had their own scars. Nonetheless, we all cooperated to make the justice I uphold became a reality. 

The more I thought about it, my heart began to get filled with burning fire.
