I Fell in Love with Someone I Shouldn't Have Fallen in Love with - Chapter 3

New Semester

Since Souji-kun started living in our house during spring break, we hardly crossed paths inside the house. The only time we somewhat interacted was during meals when he came to the kitchen to get his food, but we never have any meaningful conversations though.

He rarely comes out of his room, and he seems to be taking his bath late at night. With bathrooms on both the first floor and second floor, we never ran into each other.

Since Mom refused to do his laundry, he seems to be doing it himself.

It is now has been a week since Souji-kun started living with us, I’m beginning to get used to this situation of living alongside with a stranger.

The school is starting today, me and Emi are going to school together for the new semester.

Souji-kun seems to have left for school early.

We’ll he is a transfer student after all, he probably needs to go to the staff room to take care of some things.

After arriving at school, I check the class placement board next to the entrance and find out that I’m going to be in the same class as Souji-kun.

When I go to the classroom, Souji-kun is already there seating in the front seat by the window. He is looking out the window alone, not talking to anyone.

I go to the front of the classroom to check my seat. Some of my friends come over to my class and we chat a little.

No one talked to Souji-kun, but everyone seems to be interested in him. I can hear some of the girls in my class saying some things like,

‘Is he a transfer student?’

‘He’s very handsome.’

I continue to chat with my friends while watching Souji-kun.

Souji-kun has a straight back and a very good posture.

He is quite tall for boys our age and has a very handsome face. The sight of him looking out alone is very picturesque.

When the homeroom teacher enters the classroom, he tells us to introduce ourselves one by one.

Souji-kun is the first one in attendance and is the first person to introduce himself.

“My name is Souji Ando. I transferred from “XX” prefecture to this school. I look forward to work with you.”

Just like when he came to our house, he introduced himself earnestly and bows his head.

“I’m Ami Mamiya. I was in the second year, class 2. I’m currently in the literature club…nice to meet you all.”

Even though I felt really nervous, I managed to finish my introduction. On my way back to my seat, I take a glance at Souji-kun, he remains in the same posture as before, looking out the window.

Amidst the students in the class who were watching me introduce myself, it feels like as if he is in a completely different world all on his own.
