I Fell in Love with Someone I Shouldn't Have Fallen in Love with - Chapter 2

Meal

The boy who introduced himself as Souji Ando only has a shoulder bag with him, it seems to be his schoolbag from his previous school. He is still in his school uniform even though it is now spring break.

“Souji-kun, this is Ami, she is in the same grade as you, and this is Emi ­­­, Ami’s younger sister who will enter middle school soon.”

“Please get along with the both of us.”

“Yeah.”

Emi said so without much interest.

“P-Please take a good care of me…”

For some reason, I feel nervous and stuttered my words.

On the other hand, Mama doesn’t even come out of the kitchen to greet him.

Speaking of which, the kitchen table is only has four seats, what are we going to do about it?

“Um…Papa? The kitchen table only have four seats, what are we going to do about it?”

“Oh, right, we’ll have to figure that out.”

Suddenly, Mama comes out of the kitchen and say in a somewhat hysterical tone.

“I won’t allow him to eat with us on the same table! I’ll prepare his meal, but he will need to eat in his own room!”

On one hand, I think it can’t be helped, however Mama don’t have to say it that way either.

“I’m sorry for the trouble. I’m more than grateful that you are willing to prepare my meal for me.”

Souji-kun said so and bow his head to Mama.

Mama doesn’t say anything back to him and just goes back to the kitchen.

It seems like Mom has no intention of taking care of Souji-kun in any case.

Honestly, I don’t know what to do.

I sympathize with him for losing his mother in such an early age.

We’ve only talked a little, but he seems sincere and polite, he doesn’t seem like a bad kid.

However, that doesn’t mean I’m comfortable living together with him, and I can’t just suddenly become friendly with him.

Honestly, it feels kind of depressing.

As Mama said so, she prepared Souji-kun’s meal separately and have Souji-kun to come get it himself.

Unlike our meal of hamburger steak, potato salad, and corn potage, Souji-kun’s meal only consists of retort curry and some rice.

(TN: Retort curry are packs of curry that are usually sold in convenience stores)

But still, Souji-kun says,

“Thankyou very much. I’ll gladly eat it.”

Then he bows to Mama and carries his meal to his room.

Mama doesn’t answer Souji-kun and remain silent as she eats her dinner.

Emi still seems uninterested with Souji-kun.

Papa’s face seems apologetic, but he doesn’t seem to be able to say anything in front of Mama.

I’m bothered with Mama and Papa’s situation since Souji-kun came. It made me irrationally angry with Souji-kun.

It’s because of Souji-kun that the situation in this house becomes so awkward.
