I Ended Up Pretending to Be the Boyfriend of a Beautiful but Tough Classmate for Just a Month, but It Seems That She Has Awakened Her Yandere Tendencies Because of That. - Chapter 92-93
Chapter 92
“Good morning.”
“Morning. Did you hear anything from Mika?”
“No, nothing. Can I come in for a bit?”
“Yeah.”
On the last morning of the long weekend, Takamiya came over to my place.
And, as expected, the topic of our conversation ended up being about her.
“I wonder if Mika is okay.”
“She didn’t contact me yesterday after all, but I somehow feel like she’s fine.”
“Is that just your instinct from knowing her for so long?”
“Yeah. I kept thinking about it after that, and I feel like there’s some reason behind Mika’s attitude yesterday.”
“I kind of felt the same way. Maybe she even expected that I’d try to talk to her today.”
“Right? Mika has a way of keeping people in the palm of her hand.”
“I get that. She probably already sees through everything we’re thinking.”
But this time, whether it’s a trap or not, I have no choice but to jump in.
Even if we talk, Mika might have already made up her mind.
Maybe there was never an answer in the first place.
Even so…
“Well, I’ll head over to her place in a bit. You should stay home, Takamiya.”
“Okay. But don’t try to handle everything alone. If things get bad, call me right away.”
“I will.”
With that settled, the conversation shifted to someone else.
“By the way, when are you planning to talk to Enjou?”
“Well, since we’re in the same class, I guess I’ll just find a good moment at school.”
“Then I’ll let her know. But it was surprising to find out that she and Mika were in contact quite a bit.”
“I have a feeling Mika was doing things behind the scenes for us. Maybe that’s why Enjou has been so quiet these past few days.”
“I see… Then we really need to make up with her properly.”
“Hmm, you look kind of happy.”
“Well, it’s complicated, but… It feels like, for the first time, Mika actually spoke to me honestly. If we can get through this, maybe we can finally be real friends.”
“Yeah, maybe. All the more reason for me to do my best.”
As we talked in the living room, my phone rang.
It was an unknown number.
“…Who is it?”
“No idea. But I should answer, right?”
“If it’s a girl, pass it to me right away.”
“…I’ll put it on speaker.”
I pressed the call button while Takamiya glared at me.
“…Hello? It’s me, Tokito Sanae.”
“T-Tokito? What’s going on?”
“Sorry for the sudden call. Are you with the president right now?”
“Uh, yeah. Why?”
“That works out perfectly. I have something to discuss with both of you. Can we meet somewhere?”
Her voice was as calm as always, but there was an unusual seriousness to it.
I started feeling anxious, wondering if something had happened, but Takamiya seemed to be worried about something else entirely.
“…Why is Tokito calling you, Suzukaze? Hey, why?”
“I-I don’t know. This is the first time she’s ever called me.”
“President, my apologies. As the secretary, I thought it would be inappropriate to contact our organization’s leader directly.”
“O-Oh, I see. So, what do you want to talk about?”
“I’d prefer to discuss it in person. I can come to you if that’s okay. Where are you right now?”
“A-At Suzukaze’s house.”
“I see. That’s wonderful.”
“Huh?”
“Nothing, never mind. I’ll head over. I already have the address from the student council records.”
The call ended.
“…What’s going on?”
“No idea. But for Tokito to go out of her way to call, something must be up.”
“Ugh, why now? We need to wrap this up quickly so we can get to Mika’s place.”
Takamiya was growing irritated.
But Tokito contacting us at this timing didn’t seem like a coincidence.
Maybe it had something to do with Mika, I thought, as I headed to the kitchen.
I took a deep breath and made fresh tea, trying to steady my nerves.

Chapter 93
“Excuse me for intruding. I’m really sorry for disturbing you.”
After a while, Tokito-san arrived at my house.
She entered the living room with her usual carefree attitude, yet for some reason, she spoke in an apologetic tone. Then, she said, “Please, both of you, sit down over there.”
As if she were the owner of the house, she gave instructions and sat down across from us.
“So, getting straight to the point, what happened?”
Next to me, Takamiya asked with a displeased expression.
“Well, let’s see. Are you already aware that God has lost their mind?”
“God? I don’t really have any religious beliefs, though.”
“Could it be that you don’t know the true identity of God? Well, that can come later. Today, I came to talk about Shinozaki Mika-san.”
Looking straight at us, Tokito-san said those words.
“Mika? Did you ever have any connection with her, Tokito-san?”
“We don’t have a direct relationship. However, back in middle school, she was always ranked first in our grade, and I was second. The same happened in the entrance exams.”
“Hmm, so you’re really smart too, Tokito-san.”
“Not at all. The gap between Mika and me is greater than the difference between the moon and a mudskipper. But since I’ve always looked up to her, I couldn’t help but notice the recent changes in her demeanor.”
“Changes?”
“For the past few days, I’ve felt a dark aura surrounding her. It’s as if she’s being swallowed by an endless abyss. Since I’ve heard that you, President, are her closest friend, I wanted to ask if something happened.”
Tokito-san looked at Takamiya with a serious expression.
“…Well, kind of.”
With a resigned look, Takamiya started explaining her recent interactions with Mika-san.
How Mika had given her advice before she started dating me.
How she had been the one supporting her the most but suddenly became consumed by jealousy.
Tokito-san listened quietly to the whole story without interrupting once.
“…And that’s how it happened. Yesterday, Mika finally pushed me away.”
“I see. So basically, God… Mika-san is feeling lonely.”
“Well, just like me, Mika has been mostly alone at home since her parents divorced.”
“However, you, President, found a partner in the Vice President and freed yourself from that loneliness.”
“P-Please don’t call him my partner like that.”
“Apologies. However, Mika-san has only deepened her loneliness as you moved closer to the Vice President.”
“It seems that way. But I still see Mika every day, so I don’t know what else I can do.”
“You’re absolutely right. If Mika-san intends to come between the President and the Vice President, then no matter if she’s a god, I will stand against her. A god-slaying battle it is.”
“I-Is it really that serious?”
“For me, at least, it’s a matter of life and death. Wasting my three years of high school and throwing away the most important time of my life would be unacceptable. The only solution I can offer is ‘fighting poison with poison.’”
“Poison?”
“Yes. While it’s fine for the Vice President to speak with her, that alone won’t resolve the issue.”
Saying that, Tokito-san took out her phone and started contacting someone.
“Let’s prepare a backup plan just in case.”
“H-Hey, do you have any good ideas?”
“There’s no guaranteed solution. But if we don’t approach this as an all-out war, we won’t be able to defeat the Demon King with our current party.”
“…Is this a game?”
“It’s a real-life problem. For now, Vice President, head to Mika-san’s place and try to get her to speak her true feelings. There’s no point in keeping up appearances anymore.”
Tokito-san looked at me and nodded.
“O-Okay. What about you and Takamiya?”
“We’ll have a strategy meeting and contact you later. President, let’s move to another location.”
Tokito-san efficiently moved things along.
Following her instructions, we left the house, and Takamiya and Tokito-san headed to a family restaurant.
Meanwhile, I made my way alone to Mika-san’s house.
Of course, I knew there was a possibility she wouldn’t be home. And even if she was, she might not agree to see me.
But if we did get to talk…
Even though I was determined, I wasn’t sure my words would even reach Mika-san.
Just as Tokito-san said, getting her true feelings out wouldn’t be easy. It’s not like I have any special skills in persuasion.
What should I do?
Before I could find an answer, I arrived in front of Mika-san’s house.
