I Ended Up Pretending to Be the Boyfriend of a Beautiful but Tough Classmate for Just a Month, but It Seems That She Has Awakened Her Yandere Tendencies Because of That. - Chapter 71
Chapter 71
“Alright, the remaining tasks from the previous student council have mostly been completed. After the long weekend, we’ll start working on the project proposals.”
After a while—
As she organized the stack of documents, Tokito spoke to us.
“Ah, thank you, Secretary Tokito. So, is there anything we need to take care of during the long weekend?”
“Let’s enjoy ourselves.”
“E-Enjoy?”
“Yes. Make lots of memories. That way, when the weekend is over, you’ll be overflowing with fun memories. To entertain others, you must first understand what it means to enjoy yourself.”
“H-Hmm. So, we should go out, have fun, and use our experiences as inspiration for school events.”
“That interpretation is correct. Well then, see you after the weekend. Thanks for the meal.”
Tokito left the room ahead of us.
“…She’s a bit odd, but she might be a good person.”
“Yeah. And maybe she’s the reason Maria is behaving herself.”
“Yeah. Alright, let’s follow her advice and have some fun this weekend.”
“Yep. Well then, let’s head home.”
The two of us left the student council room, returned the key, and walked out of the school building.
Tomorrow marks the start of our first long holiday in high school.
Back in middle school, I used to shut myself away, so even when there was a break, I had nothing to do. But now, the fact that I’m actually wondering what to do during the holiday feels almost surreal.
As I pondered this on the way home, Takamiya grabbed my sleeve.
“Hey, after the aquarium, I was thinking… Since we have the chance, why don’t we visit Tokito’s café?”
“Oh yeah, she did mention her family runs a café. The coffee earlier was good, so that might be nice. But do you know where it is?”
“Hmm… That’s the thing. I forgot to ask for her contact information. Do we know anyone who might have it?”
As she scrolled through her phone, Takamiya suddenly stopped and groaned.
“Ugh…”
“What’s wrong?”
“I found someone who has it, but, well…”
“…Ah.”
When I saw the name on the screen, I let out the same reaction.
Jinguji Maria.
She definitely would have Tokito’s contact information.
But there’s no need to go out of our way to pour fuel on the fire.
“Wait, you already had her contact info?”
“She asked for it during the entrance ceremony. I’ve never actually contacted her, though.”
“Yeah, no way we’re asking Jinguji. Let’s look for someone else.”
“…”
Takamiya stared at her phone screen as if in deep thought. Then, after a pause, she declared, “No, I’ll send a message.”
“Huh? You’re really going to contact Jinguji?”
“Yes. There’s no reason for me to be scared of Maria.”
“But there’s no need to go out of your way to interact with her.”
“I’m just contacting her for a reason. It’s not like we have any other leads.”
Ignoring my protest, Takamiya sent a message to Jinguji on LINE.
And almost immediately—
Her phone rang.
“W-What do I do? It’s Maria!”
“Why is she calling?”
“I-I don’t know! Should I answer?”
“Well, we did contact her first, so it’d be rude to ignore it.”
“…Alright.”
Taking a deep breath, Takamiya answered the call.
“H-Hello?”
“Why don’t you just ask Sanae for her contact directly? Don’t bother calling me for things like this.”
Without missing a beat, Jinguji spoke in an irritated tone.
Her voice was so loud that I could hear it clearly from beside Takamiya.
Hearing that, Takamiya, who had hesitated at first, suddenly narrowed her eyes.
“W-What the hell! You’re the one who asked for my contact during the entrance ceremony!”
“Wow, you really can’t understand social niceties, huh? There’s no cure for stupidity at this level.”
“Oh? Then what should we call someone who lost to this so-called idiot?”
“What did you just say?”
“What?”
Both of them immediately started shouting at each other, loud enough for Jinguji’s voice to leak through the phone.
I had no idea how to stop them, so I stood there flustered. Then Takamiya glared at me as if telling me to stay out of it.
…Alright, I’ll keep quiet.
“Anyway, I just want Tokito’s contact information. Is such a simple request too much for you?”
“Why do you even want to contact Sanae?”
“I heard her family runs a café, and I want to visit. Is that a problem?”
“…Seriously? That’s stupid. Figure it out yourself. Anyway, I still haven’t forgiven you, and I have no intention of getting along with you. So don’t contact me again.”
With that, Jinguji hung up.
“…Ugh, she’s the worst.”
“Told you. And in the end, she didn’t even give you the contact info.”
“But seriously, she went out of her way to call just to complain? If she didn’t like it, she could’ve just ignored me.”
“She was probably too pissed off to ignore you. Well, let’s figure out Tokito’s contact later. For now, let’s just head home.”
Despite the minor detour, we shook it off and moved on.
The two of us walked home together.

“Hey, Sanae, I can’t believe you actually messaged me on LINE. What the hell is going on with your student council president, huh?”
“If you call me Secretary Tokito, I will properly answer your question.”
“How long are you going to keep up this nonsense? Ugh, seriously, you’re so annoying.”
After my call with Takamiya Riara, I, Jinguji Maria, came to the café run by Sanae’s parents.
“But you actually went out of your way to call me. You must really care about this.”
“N-No! I just didn’t want to do something lame like ignoring you.”
“Well, since you took the trouble to come to the shop, I’d love for you to introduce me to the president.”
“…I’ll just give you her contact info, so do whatever you want. I don’t care.”
