I Don’t Like Endings Where the Person who Cheats Gets Forgiven, so I Will not Forgive Her - Chapter 31
Parents
Kaori’s POV
Yukina has been acting strange lately.
As a parent, no matter how busy I am with work, I should at least pay attention to my daughter.
However, since Yukina is already a high school student, there might be one or two things she wants to keep to herself.
So, is it okay for me to be intrusive like this?
I feel conflicted inside.
Since Yukina is dating Yukito-kun, I don’t think she wants her parents to be overly involved in her relationship.
Yukito-kun…
Yukito-kun, Yukina and Setsuna are childhood friends, I think the first time I met him was when they were in grade school?
Yukito-kun has always been a mature child compared to others his age, and I still remember that I was taken aback by it at first.
I’ve heard that Yukito-kun’s mother passed away when he was young, and he was raised by Eri-san, who is his mother’s younger sister.
I’ve met Eri-san once.
She is really nice and well-mannered that I can understand why Yukito-kun would be so well-mannered at that age.
Yukito-kun, Yukina and Setsuna got along really well.
Especially, Setsuna seemed to be very fond of Yukito-kun.
After playing with Yukito-kun, she would always talk about him non-stop.
‘Yukito was so cool today…’
‘Yeah, yeah…’
We had countless conversations like that, it feels so nostalgic thinking about it.
Of course, not only Setsuna but also Yukina talked about Yukito-kun almost every time.
They talked about Yukito-kun so much that there wasn’t a day went by where the topic of Yukito-kun didn’t come up at the dinner table or in family conversations.
I know it’s not appropriate and I feel like I failed as a mother to say this, but if I were the same age as my daughters, I think I would have a crush on Yukito-kun.
I would want to be by his side every day and not let anyone else have him.
After all, he is so kind, considerate, and cool.
To top it off, he is really mature compared to others his age.
…but that’s just if we were the same age.
Yeah, so it’s not like I have romantic feelings for Yukito-kun.
I think it would be much better to say that he’s like a son to me.
I’ve known him since he was little, and even though he’s already a high school student now, I still feel like he’s still a child.
I’ve always been looking out for him.
Well, putting that aside, I have a feeling that either Setsuna or Yukina would end up marrying Yukito-kun someday.
Then just as I expected, Yukina started dating Yukito-kun.
Since Setsuna also liked Yukito-kun, she cried and seemed to be in pain when she found out that her older sister started dating Yukito-kun.
I felt sorry for her, but in the end, she supports the two of them with a smile on her face.
I was impressed by how much Setsuna has grown at that time.
There were times when they argued or fought, but Yukina continued to deepen her relationship with Yukito-kun.
I even wonder if they will get married after graduating high school.
…however, lately, something seems off about Yukinia.
She always seems gloomy and it looks like she hasn’t been getting enough sleep.
I wondered if they had a fight, but that doesn’t seem like to be the case.
So, what could’ve happened?
Is it something unrelated to Yukito-kun?
Perhaps she’s worried about her future now that she’s already in high school?
Or maybe…is it bullying?
No, but then again, with Yukito-kun around, that’s probably not the case.
However, I think it would be a good idea to have a proper conversation about this.
Yeah, that’s right.
Just when I’m thinking about it, Yukina comes home.
“I’m home.”
“Welcome back.”
“Thanks. Hey, Mom.”
“Yeah? What is it, Yukina?”
Yukina sits down on a chair, so I seat alongside her.
I wonder what does she want to talk about?
